We got these for my 12 year old and mind you, he's 12! He wanted to buy himself some 20 dollar set of speakers. Being the old man that I am, I am also a firm believer of the old adage. You get what you pay for. So I took it upon myself to do a little bit of research. I came across these Bose speakers and thought they were perfect! Not too cheap, not too expensive. My son loves them and I am deeply appreciative of the fact that he is impressed by the sound. Sure, they are not the top of the line, but to a 12 year old they are perfect! I'm just glad he is enjoying them. In my opinion, that's all that matters. :)

After a lot of research and a recommendation from a family member, I picked this set of speakers. They were well packed. The instructions and installation are simple to understand. The BAD The cords are short and appear to be made to use with a laptop on a desk. Electrical: You will need an electrical plug close or have an extension cord. Audio: The computer audio cable is very short and only useable with a laptop setup. The one that came with my unit was defective causing intermittent static in the speakers. After replacing the audio cable the sound cleared up and the speakers worked well. I believe the companion 20 speakers with a control pad is a better desktop system. but at $249 the extra 150$ is too much for this level of quality. If the speakers last this will have been a good purchase. If you want a middle ground computer speaker these are a good choice. But they are not high end.

I didn't need much. I needed 2 speakers to listen to some music and do some online conferencing during the pandemic. I was suprised by how well they actually sounded, even after reading multiple reviews. Mids are good and even low is pretty good considering that this not come with a subwoofer. I wasn't looking for surround sound as I will not be using my computer to consume much content. The recliner is way more comfortable. They were a little pricey for what I got. I kind of expected that with the Bose premium. Very pleased with my purchase and would buy again.

My set up is a with an 27 inch I Mac. I had an old pair of Altec Lansing with a subwoofer (15 years old) that died. I looked at a lot of newer units for with sub woofers and really was looking at the Creative 623 with subwoofer. I asked the sales rep at Best Buy which set would be clearer and he let me know the Bose would out shine. I have a full 4 k theater with Dennon and Polk Speaker set up around $4000.00. I am very impressed with the sound from these little Bose Companion 2 III Multimedia speakers. The value for the price and the quality are excellent. The really have excellent sound, Base and Treble are as well adjustable on the I Mac. . MB

I recommend these speakers to someone on a budget. If your willing to spend $250 get the Bose 20s over these. Anyways for the price it’s a great deal to be honest. The sound and clarity is good. It has a decent amount of bass. Good build quality. I watched YouTube videos on these with comparison with the 20s. YouTubers claimed these were better deal and only slightly better. I strongly disagree the 20s have way more bass, the audio is much loader, better build quality and comes with cool usb volume control, which can adjust volume, mute, has headphone jack and additional aux port.

Very happy with my purchase. Sound quality is excellent. Setup was a breeze. It's actually my second purchase of these speakers because I love them so much. When I got a new computer, there was no question what speakers I wanted for it! The other set stayed with the old computer.

I've owned these for about a year, and at first was a little disappointed, as they just seemed somewhat flat, especially compared to all of the other Bose stuff I have, but they were better than what I had. I recently got around to putting an actual sound card in my PC rather than using the motherboard sound. WOW. These speakers are fantastic. For $100, you can't go wrong. Great bass, and very clear. Long story short--great speakers, and very worth the money, if you have a dedicated sound card in your PC.

Not the cheapest option available but I LOVE these speakers. As a musician and producer I needed a small portable system to take on the road with me to extended stay hotels and these fit the bill exactly. In the studio I have professional M series monitors and while these speakers are not that they are more than capable of reproducing music at the quality level I am accustomed to. Don't let a few bucks stand between you and these speakers. The only gripe I have about them is I wish they had a LED to indicate they are on. Really, that's all I have to complain about so these get a 9.5 from me.

I purchased these speakers specifically to hook up to a record player in my small apartment living room. They are excellent speakers! The sound and quality is amazing. The bass sounds as if they have a subwoofer inside. They volume is perfect.

Is the best sound and volume for their size and portability. I use them for my portable home theater and my friends are always stunned of what these two small speakers can achieve. The best price-related quality speakers I've ever had.

Great set of desk speakers if you value space

These speakers are pretty great for the amount of space they take up on your desk. I wanted some decent sounding speakers for my macbook and external monitor, without having a subwoofer under my desk since my space is limited. Of course, this takes away the rumbling, window-shaking bass that you might be accustomed to with a good set of home-theater or subwoofer powered computer speakers, but for the purposes that I needed, it works great. The sound has a good amount of bass, and provides a well-rounded, and clear sound (in my opinion, I am not an audiophile). The trebles could be brought out a bit more, but it doesn't bother me that much. For the price, I would definitely recommend these nice desk speakers if you value your desk space. It is sleek-looking and really doesn't take up much space.

BOSE!!! What else is there to say!! BOSE FOR LESS THAN A HUNDRED BUCKS THAT'S WHAT!!!! I LOVE these speakers. I'm a huge fan of music and the ONLY thing I've ever wanted to be in life in a Karaoke star in my shower!! These little puppies right here let the 100,00+ spectators in Victor's bathroom get a full range of that medieval torture device known as karaoke in the brightest color and sound that only Bose can deliver. The speakers themselves are a little heavy for desk top speakers, but then AGAIN - THEY'RE BOSE!!!! What else would you expect? These aren't running shoes folks! You don't WANT them all light and delicate!! I can't begin to tell you how many autographs I've signed in my bathroom simply because of Bose!! Catch my next concert tour going on now...no really, like I'm in the bathroom right now about to take a shower and ready to ROCK THE MASSES!!!!!!!
