Quality Sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these to go with a recent purchased iMac. I researched speakers for a week and was 75% convinced from the reviews that these were my choice. After listening them in the store there was no doubt in my mind. Crisp sound, solid base, convenient power/volume knob. Yes, they are pricey - But the extra money spent has been well worth it. You can rarely go wrong with a Bose product.

You can't go wrong with BOSE!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These speakers are great! Bought them for my girlfriend for her computer. These speakers make everything sound the best it can be. We've used it for our iPhones, iPad, computers & they all have great quality sound! I have several products from BOSE & have never been dissatisfied with any of their products. My only con for this product is the amount of wires it has. They all have a purpose but surprised since all the other BOSE products I have are very simple with how they set up. Highly recommend!!

Big Sound From Bose...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Bose computer speaker system was the best one I heard when comparing, and after getting it home, it did not disappoint. This system has big full sound with a small footprint. The bass, while not as booming as a sub woofer, is full and crisp, with no distortion, along with great mids and highs. I like the remote (hockey puck) volume and aux input/headphone jacks and find this system to be a great solution for my need for good sounding audio to monitor my online radio station Flashback40.com. Overall, very pleased and I highly recommend this Bose Companion 20 system !

Big Boost in Sound Over the Companion 5s
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These speakers are fantastic. I initially bought the Bose Companion 5 speakers (the Best Buy near home didn't have the 20's). The Companion 5's were decent but when I found these at another Best Buy I had to try them. The 20s were noticeably richer and fuller with much better bass (but at 2.5x the cost). A couple other factors: 1. The silver metallic look of the 20s is much sharper looking than the plain black 5s and the dongle feature for volume control was also a bonus. 2. On the 5s the volume control was on the right speaker (way to the right of my 49" monitor) so being able to place the volume dongle closer was nice. One comment for improvement - putting a mark on the dongle volume dial would be helpful so that you have a reference point for how loud your volume is at.

Bit overpriced, but good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a set of speakers that would let me easily switch between them and a pair of headphones. That means I wanted to be able to plug in the headphones, have the speakers mute, and the volume controls would apply to the headphones. These do that perfectly. They've got surprisingly good sound, and get plenty loud without distortion. They feel solid and look good. Cons: I feel the price is a bit high at $250, and the input cable that comes with them is a meager 2 feet long.

Great Sound in a Small Package
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose Desktop Speakers what more needs to be said, well here I will go anyways. The Bose desktop speakers are very clear and have more bass than I expected from two tiny speakers. I really like the volume control and the fact that you can plug your headset into the circular piece that is shown in the picture. The only bad is way too many wires for only two speakers. You will actually want to plan out how you run all 4 wires that come from the back of these speakers. If you can deal with all those wires you find a speaker system that presents as well as anything else in this range in a much smaller package.

Couldn't have Imagined how good!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After listing to both in the store, I bought the Companion 2, set it up, and liked it. BUT, the C20 had spoiled me in the store, so I took the C2s back and am listening to the C20s as I type this. Just NEVER thought I'd be listening to such awesome sound out of such a small package, desktop speakers on my SurfaceP3 docking station. A big plus was the desktop puck for easy volume adjustment & instant mute (e.g. when receiving a call). Love 'em.

Terrific Sound, Look, and Convenience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I put these speakers behind my monitor for a great sound, and the control at my fingertips for ease of use. I love the touch-to-mute feature, and the volume wheel is super intuitive and a pleasant tactile feature. Everything is super compact and compliments my work area nicely.

Minimal Equipment/Maximum Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a pair of speakers without a separate box sub woofer, these are by far the best of the best. The timbre, bass and clarity are going to blow you away. As always, speakers are only able to produce what your source can deliver, but a powerful delivery mechanism like this will not disappoint. The 'puck' controller is handy and attractive. The LED does let you know that you are outputting regardless of if it is to the speakers or to a headset (you won't get output to the headset without power to the system). The large ring volume controller around the puck is sensitive and, IMHO, very easy to control from a 'feel' perspective. Highly recommended.

Exceptional Sound - Beats all the rest!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work 3rd shift and need to sleep mornings. After research, I discovered music that creates a tranquil atmosphere. These Bose computer speakers are most excellent set I have ever owned. The clerk at Best Buy demonstrated all the computer speakers they carry. All the other speakers were very metallic ( tin like) sounding. The thing that captivated me was the true sound with powerful bass and small footprint for this pair. I added on a Bluetooth transfer unit recommended by clerk and I was set for peaceful sleep. After using them this past month, I know this is one of the best sound investments I have ever made. Thank you BOSE and Best Buy clerk for making this possible!

Great Speakers!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the size, the look and the superior sound quality. The volume control wheel is great. Just tap it to turn speakers on or off. Rotate wheel to increase and decrease the volume. The volume disk has a gripping under surface to keep the device from moving around on your desk top. Love it!

Great sound with handy control.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is what I expected from Bose but the little control puck has been a pleasant surprise. The volume adjustments are precise and without static and the ability to turn the speakers off and on by touching the top is great.

Great Soundstage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are always better options available if you are willing to spend more money, such as an audiophile brand like B&W. I have owned numerous audiophile level speakers throughout my life including products from Bose, B&W, KEF, Definitive Technology, a/d/s and others. Of all the brands I've listened to over the years, I still own and get the greatest enjoyment still out of multiple pairs of tower speakers from a/d/s, who unfortunately no longer produce speakers of any size under the original ownership. The company that was a/d/s produced incredible speakers of any size for the money and wish they were still around to produce computer monitor speakers. That being said, i "auditioned" many brands of quality desktop speakers for my Mac. I found many brands like B&W to have a great product, but the price point is hard to justify as a desktop setup. I finally settled on the BOSE Companion 20 speakers, because I think they have a great quality soundstage at the volumes I would normally listen to on a desktop, yet the price point is not too high for most budgets. BOSE always makes a quality product with some minor shortcomings, but I have been very happy with their sound so far, and love the volume control/mute puck device as a separate piece. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality sound, yet does not want to spend way too much.

good sound but overpriced
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little disappointed by this product. It is considerably more expensive than the Bose computer speakers that I gave to my son because they had poor volume. These are better, but still underpowered for the price. Bose has never been known for crushing volume even with the surround sound system for my home theater, but I do not get that room filling sound that Bose claims to have. Still better than other computer speakers I have heard.

Great pair of little speakers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great pair of speakers for my computer. Solid bass, rear ported. Connect to a Bluetooth speaker connector to not have wires to the laptop. A bit pricey, but worth it.

Best Compact Computer Speaker For The Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose quality at it's best! Compact space saver and easy to install. The built in bass module reduces the clutter. Also, the one-touch control pod is very convenient.

WOW, What a sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought these speakers to replace a 4 piece with a sub package that was 'pretty good' but old and the dials were broken. I could not believe the sound that these produce. They are crystal clear, separation is very noticeable and the bass is decent. They are plenty loud for the bedroom and the quality is outstanding. I have the soundtouch 10 and 20 which I love but in my opinion these speakers are suited for videos and streaming music as well as the bigger 20 speakers. The bass is decent but they won't rattle your monitor off the desk.

Great speakers for my PC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with these speakers. I work at home and I have online satellite radio, so I wanted some really good speakers for my PC. They have a small footprint on my desk, and I really like the touch sensitive on/off switch. The sound is excellent.
