Everything about these speakers and volume controller say quality. The sound is superb -- especially for how little real estate they take up on my desk.

The main reason for this purchase was to get a good set of speakers without a subwoofer for playing music through the PC while working at home and some gaming. The speakers are probably not the best for gaming just because they are not 5.1 or 7.1 speakers for surround sound from gaming sound cards, but I knew that would be the case before the purchase. My only real complaint would be that the 2 speakers are designed to sit to the left and right of a monitor. The cord that connects the speakers is too short. It is a Bose proprietary connector so you can't buy an extension anywhere. In fact, Bose does not even make one. I have a large corner desk and I needed to run the wire out the back to the other side. The cable was too short so I have to run it across the desk in front of the monitor and it looks a bit messy. Also the cord from the sound card to the speakers is fairly short as well. However, a few dollars at the local electronic store corrected that issue as it was just a standard 3.5mm stereo plug. I guess Bose makes the assumption people are plugging this thing in from a laptop on the desk to the speakers and not from a desktop tucked away beside a desk and not that close to the monitor.

you get what you pay for. Much better sound then most little computer speakers. I would like to adjust the low end, but can live with the sound.

I love my BOSE!! OMG these speakers are the bomb! Sound is what you'd expect from Bose. I'm blown away. Yes, the price was a bit hefty; however, I know I won't need to buy or upgrade for years. Just average your cost over time and you will see it was worth the price!

I needed an update from my very old Altec Lansing computer speaker system. I wanted a compact set, mid price point, with better sound for playing music, watching videos and picking up phone calls. The Bose Companion has met expectations in all three areas. Set up was quick and easy. I also own a "Bose Box" that is decades old and trust that these speakers will also go the mile.

The sound on the Bose Companion 20 Speakers is outstanding. I also like the compactness of the speakers without having to have a large box for bass and control panel. The external sound control is also very nice and handy. The speakers are very expensive, but in the end I think that they were a good investment if you really want terrific computer sounds.

Excellent sound and I love the controller. It is well-placed and used more than I ever thought I would. They also look great on my desk.

Just what you would expect from a Bose product, great sound, very functional, and easy to setup and use. The control module has a stick surface on the bottom that keeps it in place stuck firmly to any surface. The sound is impressive as always from Bose even with no base unit.

These are amazing for their size. I am a musician and recording engineer and wanted something without a sub that I could use on a small desk in the corner. I have never been so pleased. Pay the extra money and you won’t be disappointed.

bose never disappoints. i fall in love with those speakers. it can be so loud that the whole living room is filled with music and sounds really nice and love it. the price is normal. not too high or too cheap. please like my review thanks

I purchased these speakers for my tv as it has great sound and much cheaper than regular tv speakers. Great alternative for a budget.

It has the typical great sound I have come to expect from Bose. It was easy to set up and not having a sub-woofer saved on space requirements.

I bought these speakers to replace a burned out speaker system that had surround sound. The computer is set up in a fairly small room. The Bose speakers have fabulous sound considering they are not a surround sound set up. I am more than satisfied with the full sound at every volume level. They don't take up a ton of space either. I highly recommend them.

I gave these to my brother. He likes them a lot. He said they are the clearest he's heard. Reasonably priced too.

I purchase the Bose Companion 20 speakers because the existing speakers provided very little note to note separation. My ears are very sensitive to musical tones, and these speakers provide exactly what I expect. Clear bass, great note depth, and highs that are not tinny. Acoustic guitar on these speakers sound very real.

Great sounding speakers. After comparing all the computer speakers, none compared to these Bose speakers. Worth the extra money.

These speakers were easy to set up and sound great. Not that I care, but they fill the entire room with great sound. .Working from my desk the entire gamut of sound is reproduced with great precision. Even the bass is very strong without a subwoofer. The sound was so good, that I had to upgrade my TV with a sound system.

I've always heard great reviews from Bose speakers and I've heard several different models. These sound fantastic! With a built in subwoofer you get a great range of sound without needing a lot of space. I use this for my desktop PC gaming, videos, and games. On/off switch is easy to access with built in plugs for mic and headphones. My only issue is the short audio cable to go to the PC. It's only a couple of feet long, so this would be better for laptop, or tablet. Although their size might be cumbersome to carry around and they require an external power source. One other thing to note. By default there is a power save function which means your speaker would only go on is sound is used, such as a DVD playing. This system didn't work as designed for me and I thought I'd bought a defective set. Thankfully you can shut this feature off and I'd recomend it. Still the sound quality and easy use of volume and on/off switch are some of it's best features. I'm happy I got them.

Purchased these speakers after having a set Bose speakers for years that finely died on me. I want the great sound I was use to ,but what I got something even better. My computers volume was up when I plug them in and wow what a sound with all that base and great on game play.
