Got these Bose frames on pre-order as they looked interesting, thought if they were not worth it I would return. Let's just say... these Frames are not being returned!
Have taken them to the beach and a few other outings... everyone who tries them on is blown away... like jaw-dropping "Wow!" reactions. They think they are going to see some fancy polarized lens clarity and instead they start jamming out to music only they can hear.
Yes they have open air speakers. Yes this means in a super quiet room someone can hear the Frames if the volume is turned up most or all of the way. Yes audiophiles who expect perfection will not be totally impressed with the sound quality. But give me a break. Any pair of headphones that do not have enclosed ear cups or benefit from sitting directly in your ear canal will not have award winning sound and might be heard by someone else when sitting in a super quiet room. The bass is the most noticeable difference. But otherwise these Frames will impress with their clarity and 360 degree balance.
Any negative review is missing the point of the space Bose was trying to fill. These are amazing... they are differentiating technology in a crowded field of personal devices for listening to audio on the go. The audio is not perfect but this is Bose… the audio is fantastic!
They are incredibly discreet. This is great when you want to still engage with the sounds and people and events and conversations around you while listening to music... or even a sports game, a conference call, the news, an audio book, etc. Turn up the volume when you want to jam out. Lower the volume to stay in two worlds. Simply click the gold button on the right frame to pause it all and completely focus on what’s around you.
I prefer darker lenses on sunglasses, but can appreciate that Bose had a real dilemma on their hands... choosing a shade that was appealing more broadly and also could still allow them to be used later into the day than darker shades for those who want to use these over buds or headphones. You will never make everyone happy. But so far everyone I have met has loved these Bose Frames!

Let me start off buy saying that I don't feel as though I have been whisked away to a private concert hall when I put on these AR sunglasses. Now, with that out of the way what I will say is that the sound is suprisingly solid (although light on the bass).
I use these primarily for listening to music or an audiobook when I walk and for that purpose they are perfect. They are very comfortable and are actually decent sunglasses. I love the fact that I am not sealed away from my surroundings the way I am with ear buds. They allow just enough ambient noise to come through to make me comfortable that I won't be tagged by an oncoming vehicle while delivering solid sound performance of my listening material.
Be careful that you know what you want when you purchase these and then be very happy with your decision.

Sound quality is very clean Frames feel light not heavy at all. Only thing I wish is that speakers had a little bit more bass and also a longer battery life. Other than that I love my glasses.

Ok so this is not your RayBans or Oakley’s as in great sunglasses quality. But light weight and very comfortable to wear and does well against the AZ sun. Though once paired to your Bluetooth device “my phone” stream music that you can hear very clearly (little bass though), I can sit out have a conversation and still hear the music as if it was just in the background. Phone calls sound awesome and with the gold button and head gesture control so easy to use turn up skip songs etc. very intuitive. I ordered some clear lenses so I can use at work and block out that annoying guy who doesn’t stop talking at the top of his lungs and get some work done. Probably one of the cooler purchases I’ve made in a while.

Great sound quality. Nice fit. Great for being able to listen to music and talk on the phones hands free and still be able to hear what is going on around you. I have never been able to keep buds in my small ears, so I love this option. The battery life could be longer but then the ear pieces would need to be more comfortable. I always know when the battery is going low because that's right about when my glasses start to hurt my ears. Wish the volume went a little higher. All in all, I would buy again and recommend.

I was hesitant to pick up a pair. I wasn't too sure if i could really use such an expensive product. But it does replace carrying my Sunglasses and Beat earbuds. The Sound quality is great even though i am a Bass lover. If you like a lot of Bass then you will need to adjust to them. But the clarity is second to none. I have seen and heard other brands and there is a reason for the price tag. I use them a lot when on trips and the only complaint is the Batter life. They are easy to use and call volume and clarity is great. I got the polarized lenses and I love the way they look.

They're great for what they need to be used for. Thats blocking the sun and listening to music in a not so noisy environment. They don't get super loud, but they are loud enough to hear and hear your surroundings. They tend to slide a bit as they aren't that tight on my face. I've tried both sizes and that was he case. Leaning forward is extremely scary thinking they'll slide off. They are very lightweight also. I enjoy them very much and have no regrets.

These are exactly what I need. Sunglasses that play music and allow me to interact with every day life. I love them to a point.
Pros- First of all, they sound great! Bass is better at lower volume, but you would swear you are in a room full of music. At lower volume you can carry on a conversation and it’s easy to pause the music and start again. You can put them up on your head and turn up the volume and hear well when inside, like at the supermarket. They fit shockingly well. I was expecting a frame so large to fall off my head, but they stay in place through activity so I’m happy. Really good Bluetooth reception. Cuts out rarely at distance.
Cons- two styles? The Alto- which I got have HUGE lenses. They are gigantic! Adequate darkness on the lenses, but I’d like them to be darker. The Rondo? Not my style at all. Battery life is not very long. Seems like a couple hours at most. This is shocking compared to my other Bose headphones that last all day long. They seem to be made of cheap plastic. I’m not sure how long they are going to last. Major design flaw, when they fold the earpiece rubs on the lens! You have to put a microfiber or something in between when you put them away or they will scratch. There is a piece of packing material when you first open the packaging that protects it. Charging Dongle! Yuck! I dislike the Jaybird Headphones for this. Awesome that it’s like the mag safe MacBook charger, but lose it and you are screwed! Just use the same micro usb that everyone else uses! I have had them three days and BB gives you 14 days to return them. I’m on the fence. I’ll probably keep them since I would use them all day long at work. I wish Bose just made a speaker set I could attach to my Oakley’s...

These are some of the nicest glasses I’ve ever owned. The sound quality is surprisingly good too! I was shocked that you could actually hear sub bass from these. It’s not the greatest sound but if you need to hear your surroundings, these are perfect

Sad to say, the battery got the life sucked out of it by a large magnet I had next to it. Completely my fault. Though when it was 'alive', it had a below-average battery life, good sound, and okay connection.

These are very sleek looking sunglasses and for any activity at or slightly less vigorous than a brisk walk they have no issue. But, the sunglasses do not have padding to add friction for better grip on the head, it is common to feel them beginning to slide as you are turning and shaking your head and you will find yourself doing the classic nerd move of pushing them back to the base of your forehead with your fingers to keep them off the brim of your nose. You are also going to want to replace the included lenses if you plan on wearing these in harsh sunlight, the base lenses are just tinted, not polarized, and block a very small portion of light, which might be desired for some.
That all being said, they sound great! Even at low volume it is a full sound that, when you don't have the constant feeling of something in or on your ears, makes you feel like there is a soundtrack to your life. Playing audio at a reasonable level does not disturb those around you, and the battery life is great, on a full charge I was able to go on a two and a half hour hike and listen to music on the drive home all before the battery reached 30%.

I do not like ear buds, never liked sticking things in my ear, I really like over the ear headphones for the best sound quality. but not very practical on the road. These glasses connect quickly to my iPhone 10R, They sound great. I have had the sound glitch out on phone calls a couple of times, not sure if it was the glasses or AT&T or maybe even the phone, sure it was some kind of Bluetooth issue. I love that they switch back and forth easily from glasses to vehicle Bluetooth when you get in your car. You can't walk to far away from your phone while you use them(maybe 50 ft
) I mostly use these for work, at my job I'm on my phone a lot They usually get me through the day. they charge very fast. when I am in my work truck or office I just set them down on a flat surface upside down and they shut off within 2 seconds. I don't wear them all day so that's probably why they last me all day. They sound great people that check them out are always surprised how good they sound. I switched the lenses to the Polarized Mirrored Silver (easy installation) as for style I have not been a wayfarer fan since 1985, I usually wear Maui's or Ray Bans so these are probably the least expensive glasses I own. I would love to see replacement lenses that are actually made of glass to reduce the chance of scratching, but these lenses seem to be holding up well and if you do mess them up you can buy replacements for 20-30 bucks. I look forward to seeing where this technology goes. I am very Happy with this purchase....so far...

Love its looks, how amazing the sound is and how easy is it connect to my iphone. The only disadvantage I see is that fact that battery doesnt last me a full 8hr shift at work (it died in about 5hours), the fact that once u press on the bottom and your device isn’t near you it constantly keeps on telling you “it’s looking for your device” it can get annoying, lastly I wish Bose could also have clear lenses as well.

I have been using a blue tooth ear piece for a long time and I don't like how it weighs on my ears. Now I can take calls or listen to some light music when I'm out and about. The frames are comfortable and I get a lot of questions and compliments about them and the sound quality is great. The only thing: I'd recommend getting the polarized lenses which are a separate purchase. Those are amazing.

I used coupons and a gift card to treat myself to these sunglasses with bluetooth speakers built in. I wanted something to use with my smart phone that I could take on the go and didn't require wearing obvious ear buds or a headset. These sound great. People around you barely hear anything. they don't go in your ears, so they don't block out the sound around you, great for walking around or listening to something when you still want to hear what's going on around you. The augmented reality support is also cool but still a bit of a novelty for me. My biggest complaint is the short battery life, just a couple of hours of listening time. They do charge quickly though. I also like how they turn on and pair so quickly. You just need to push the button on the right ear stem. You don't need to hold it in for a few seconds. Because of this, I find myself turning them off more often, when I want to pause something for a bit, which also helps increase the life of the battery a bit.

Really good tint on lenses, quality Bose sound. Didn’t give it a 5 star review because of battery life, not terrible but feel it should and could be better. I’m a runner and cyclist, they are convenient and comfortable. Look stylish also.
Got these for Valentine’s Day from my wife, great gift.
Maybe have interchangeable clear lenses for indoor use?

Bought these cause I needed to sunglasses anyways. Turns out to be the pair I wear the most. I switched them out for the polorized lenses which is a must! Sound is great for their size. On full blast I almost cant hear anyone talking around. Bass is a little lacking but understandable based on its size.

Holy cow! Bose really makes sunglasses that broadcast music to your ears without inserting anything into your ears. You can also take phone calls or chat with a coworker in an e-meeting.
The tiny little speakers sound amazing at conversation level but fall flat at concert level. That pesky laws of physics thing enters the picture so if you want to blast loud music or hear quarter bouncing bass volumes these aren't fit for that. If you want to hear music at a volume such as tv level they are great.
The supplied impact resistant, uv a&b blocking lenses are pretty good. No distortion and have a tint that allows wearing indoors like the grocery store or office yet you can buy aftermarket lenses and even prescriptions lenses.
You get around 3-1/2 hours from a charge and at least 30 foot range too.
No wonder Apple bought Bose.

I really love these. Would have been 5 star rating but there's some room for improvement.. with that said, I still highly recommend them!
The sound is great, and not having something in your ear is great. I love that i don't have to take them out of my ear when not using them like earbuds. Everything works very well and is super easy to operate.
Here, let me make it easy for ya'll:
PROS: Lightweight, good sound, looks, fit, function, easy to operate, super convenient, very much worth it!
CONS: Battery could last longer but not bad, included lens not very dark, slip down your nose when sweating (im in Florida)
OVERALL: Buy them! You'll love they way they work and free you up. Way more comfortable and convenient than my earbuds.. but earbud's sounds is superior.

Love these, lenses can be changed although it voids your warranty if you use non Bose lenses. I use mine for driving and golfing. Still allows me to hear my surroundings. They are pricey. But I love the sound. I even use for phone calls.
