Can't hear a thing over just general city ambient sound; unless you crank it all the way up, but then everyone can hear what you're listening to. In quieter times, I find my hand on my phone volume rocker the whole time. Either it's a quiet part in what I'm listening, Turn Up. Then it's too loud and I'm self conscious of others hearing what I'm listening to Turn Down. then Up-down-up-down...

But it stopped charging. I guess its a known issue but Bose will not send me a new one because I missed the warranty within a couple of days...

Not worth the price

I got just short of 3 hours on a full charge. Doesn’t come with clear lenses which I’ve seen on some cheaper brands. Audio is comparable to dollar store headphones especially in a loud environment. Returned them after a few days.

Sorry to hear that you are not happy with your purchase. The battery life of the Alto is 3.5 hours while streaming and 12 hours on standby. It will depend on how heavy you use it as well. Although it does not come in clear lenses, we do have choices as accessories(mirrored silver, gradient blue). Bose Frames is a new way of listening to sound. Leaves you free to hear and interact with the world around you, all while discreetly listening to music.

Just over a year after buying them I can't get them to power on anymore and they're no longer in warranty. Bummer. Sound quality was great and I could still hear what's going on around me while running, so I wish they had a better build quality.
