Never knew I needed these!!

Let me start off by defending my Summary. I never knew i needed these!! I have had the glasses that looked similar and tons of earbuds, but to combine them was genius.
So lets jump into reviewing them and my 4 star rating.
They look good! I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of them. They have a flat black color and are slim and not heavy at all. I was a little concerned with weight because of the bulky speaker arms but they were surprisingly light.
Fit: The design is one you are familiar with. They limit the adjustability a bit IMO. The only adjustable piece is the nose bridge. They include 3 sizes-small, med, large. I went with the large to keep them off my brow since I wear them outdoors and get sweaty. one thing I found when I initially got them was that they felt a bit small - pressing on the sides of my head quite snuggly. Over the course of a week, they did "stretch" out a bit and got more comfortable but didn't lose the "secure" feeling while moving about.
Oh yeah, these glasses are an investment and not just in the glasses. But should you happen to scratch a lens, they are replaceable!!! Bose offers many different colors(blue/yellow) and prescription offerings if needed. They seemed to be an affordable price as well. I having kids and being a clutz sometimes - this is a great offering!
Sound: They sound good and have a good volume for them. Unfortunately, they have NO bass at all. So if your style of music and preference is bass - these may not be for you. As such, they do sound fantastic and crisp. The music was loud and clear. Phone calls were good and my callers never asked if I were on speakerphone! I've even used them in the car with the windows down and they did great.
Control: I LOVE the controls - I have never been one that wanted full functionality from my electronics. Just let me control the few things I need and make it WORK. BOSE did exactly that. 1 button for PWR On/Off - Same button for track forward back(2 press/3 press). Then the right arm has a 'touch" pad to control Volume Up/Down or simply hold for your phone's assistant (Siri/Alexa/Bixby). I set up Alexa and was able to verbally launch all my audio apps and open my favorite station or playlist! Easy peasy. One cool feature built-in that I quickly found great was the turn off the function. Just hold the glass upside down for 2 seconds and they power off. Great for those situations you need to talk to someone and you don't have to bumble around trying to stop/pause/mute your music!
Now I've said quite a lot of great things, WHY did I rate them a 4 star? Well, let me explain.
1. I wanted them to be LOUDER sometimes!! LOL
2. Case and charger - Not the best design here - They did use a USB-C cable but I found that you have to flip the case upside down, flay the case wide open, and plug in the glasses. I charging case like my earbuds would have been nice!! This works fine at home, but a BIG issue when I want to charge them in the truck!! See pic! Notice the case is upside down and cable is pointing straight up - easily able to move the glasses.
Overall these were an item I didn't really know I needed. But I really do like them! They are comfortable, good sounds, and I'm aware of my surroundings. Price was a good price for what you get(especially if you compare all the items if purchased separately). included are the glasses, semi-hard case, charging cable(no brick), and nose pieces.

I really liked the idea of these when I first saw them. Being able to listen to music and use the Google Assistant while doing more active things was an attractive offer. I don't really care for ear buds, as they can be uncomfortable for me to wear for extended periods, and will sometimes fall out, even after trying several pairs.
The Frames check the boxes I was looking for and then some. They're comfortable to wear, even for extended periods. They allow you to hear things going on around you, which is great for more active outings. Though the bulkier spots on the sides kind of felt as if they were "pressing" against the sides of my head, they weren't uncomfortable. They sound great, even at higher volumes. They also have some cool features that make using them even better. The touch/swipe on the side of the Frames to control volume works consistently, and is very intuitive. The button for play/pause is conveniently located and worked very well. I do kind of wish the touch area were a bit larger to allow for more gesture controls, like using left/right gestures for skipping tracks, as well as up/down for volume, but they controls they have in place work well. There's also a nice little feature to allow the Frames to be turned off by simply placing them upside down for a couple of seconds.
The included case is a nice addition as well. It's compact and snugly fits the Frames and the charging cable. Which brings me to the battery life, which is excellent for these. Especially when you consider you can get a full charge in about an hour. The Frames last for around 7-8 hours on a full charge too. Very impressive for their size.
Pairing and setting up the Frames was easy with the app. They connected seamlessly to my Android phone. They even have a cool sound during startup, then letting you know they've reconnected to your phone by saying it's name. In my case "Connect to Pixel 4 XL".
As for the lenses and using them as actual sunglasses they're very good. The polarized lenses block the sun very well, as you'd expect.
The only thing I'd really change about these overall is I do wish the sides weren't quite as bulky. They're not obnoxious by any means, but I do wish they could be a bit smaller.
Pros: Great sound, look sleek, easy to hear things without totally blocking your ears, easy setup and reconnecting with Bluetooth
Cons: I wish the side pieces were a little less bulky, expanded touch/gesture area would be nice

Cool Audio Sunglasses

Lets start with the looks. I love the way these tempo style frames look.
They look like some of my other glasses, But can do a lot more.
I wear sunglasses every day. And these now have their place in my rotation. With the open ear audio they are great for walking/running. Keeps you colder than over ear headphones. Now I'm not saying these will replace my over the ear headphones but they both have a time and place where they shine. Or block the shine like these do.
They have good sound quality just lacking some good bass.
Great phone call quality. After a few of my calls I would ask how I sounded and none of the people I talked with could tell I was on something other than my phone. And you can hear them great. When walking around on the phone the people around me couldn't hear the person on the other end of the phone call. This was a concern I had with these.
And they have polarized lenses.
The fit is a little snug for me, but that dose mean they stayed in place when on the move.
I do wish the battery life was better.

Wouldn't it be nice to listen to music in your own "personal space" without distracting others with a speaker? How about taking that walk or run without annoying earbuds or headphones on, but still be able to listen to your music?
With these Bose shades, you can certainly do that. Yeah, it's a niche market, but with a little more improvement to the overall volume levels, these sunglasses can be a winner. I've found the perfect driving glasses and pretty close to perfect for exercising!
I get tired of having headphones in/on ALL THE TIME. I've got some Bluetooth over-the-ear cans that I love and wear while I'm at work (from home). Then I have my Airpod Pro's that I also use when I don't want my whole head taken over and also for phone calls. I have some other Bluetooth earbuds that I use specifically for exercising, so I don't ruin my other headphones/earbuds. The Bose Tempo sunglasses fill a certain void that I never knew existed. I only have two issues that prevent them from being daily drivers in my life. Read on to find out more.
Unboxing: These things look and feel premium! The unboxing process was definitely nice and you feel you get what you pay for. You get the glasses, a storage case (with a snug fit!), a USB C charging cable and a microfiber cloth. I left the cable, cloth and any other accessories (if there was anything else?) in the box, as I have my own cable and cloth already that I use for other devices. One thing that I did think was neat is the fact that you can actually swap out the lenses. I discovered this in the app as I was setting them up and honestly, didn't even know this was a feature before getting them.
Setup: Outside of Airpods, this has to be the smoothest "headset" setup I've ever done. I downloaded the Bose Music app and just followed the steps. I didn't have to do anything special and, as an extra cool step, it allowed me to name my glasses. I gave them one of the default names, as I wasn't feeling very creative at the time (Slay All Day!) and I can always rename them later. It also updated to the latest firmware version. Once setup, everything else within the app is pretty minimal. You can use the app to control your music (I don't), among other basic maintenance-type things.
Design: Once everything was setup and ready to go. I gave tested them for a bit. I personally love the look of the Tempo frame on me and had to wind up using the larger nose piece. Even with that, they just felt really stiff when I put them on... thanks in part due to the HUGE, bulking side pieces that contain the speakers. There is NO wiggle room for me once on my face and the large speaker portion feels like it rests against my bone, on the upper sides of my cheeks. At first, I felt this was uncomfortable, but got used to it after about 10 minutes of wearing. Outside of this, the physical controls are kept to a minimum. There's pretty much just the charging port and the power button. All controls are done by swiping and tapping on the side of the frame (the speaker piece), where it says "Bose". Not the direct side, but the upper part that is kind of angled. You can swipe one direction to turn up the volume and another to turn it down. You can summon Siri (I tested with my iPhone 11 Pro Max) with a double tap, among other common controls.
Call quality: The day after I received these, I wore them driving and made two calls. The first person said that I sounded identical to my Airpod Pro's and couldn't really tell a difference. The other person, my wife, said that I sounded louder and clearer than I did on my Airpods. I didn't get to test calls in windy/noisy conditions or anything, so I'm not able to vouch there.
There are a few other features. As I mentioned before, the ability to swap lenses. Also, if you place them upside down after taking them off, it will pause your music and auto-play when you pick them up and put them back on. They will also turn off automatically after some time of inactivity.
All in all, really...my BIGGEST complaint with these is the overall volume. They don't get terribly loud and given that the speakers are sitting just above your ears, it's just the nature of the beast, I guess. I realized this after walking and being able to hear the traffic go by the road and such - it seemed to mute the music some and even at over 3/4 volume, it became difficult to hear. Indoors seemed fine...but I don't have a need to wear these inside. In the car, they're mostly fine.
A few other issues I had: I have very oily skin and when I exercise, I sweat a TON. As soon as I put these on, they pull the oil right off my face. Luckily, they're pretty easy to clean and it's all come off without leaving residual oil residue on the hulking plastic speaker part. As for sweat, they get drenched, but so far, has not affected them. They do fit a little snug for my liking due to the behemoth sides. I can see people asking "why are the sides of your sunglasses so big", but once you tell them it's speakers, they'd be like "ooooh, ok".
So, these make the perfect driving glasses (especially if you don't want to disturb your passengers) and semi-perfect exercising glasses - marred by the tight fit (which may be a bonus to some) and super big sides.
Overall, I give them a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

The Bose Frames Tempo is one of three new designs Bose is releasing under their audio sunglasses lineup. The Tempo, is meant to be the comfortable, athletic choice for exercising or for a tighter fit around the eyes. I was blown away by their performance but had slight sizing issues which lowered their comfort level for me.
When I got the opportunity to review one of the latest products in the Bose Frames lineup I was intrigued because I didn’t realize Bose made these. Audio sunglasses without any cords or associated interference? There is no was that will sound good, right? Wrong. They sound amazing.
In the Box:
- Sunglasses with Sturdy Zipper Case
- USB-A to USB-C Charge Cable
- 3 Sizes of Nose Pads
- Paperwork and Cleaning Cloth
Setup:
Setup is a breeze as usual with a lot of newer devices. Hold the button down to start pairing and connect view the Bluetooth screen on your phone/device and you’re done. To go a step further, you can connect the Bose Music App for more adjusts to the sunglasses. Some of the features within the app include: Flip-To-Off which allow the glasses to be set upside down for 2 seconds to power off and Motion Detection which will turn the glasses off after 10 minutes of inactivity. Of course the app allows for software updates to the frames but one fact to note there is no in app EQ settings.
Sound Quality:
The first time I played music through these glasses I was SHOCKED. I was in awe quite frankly. In quiet environments the glasses sound amazing considering nothing is in your ear. Once past 50% volume or so what little low end there is drops off altogether but this volume level really isn’t needed for most cases. The clarity is very good with no distortion with volume increases. Overall the sound quality is just great!
Comfort/Usage:
After a couple days of wearing these inside and outside I came to the conclusion that the comfort is one of the one downfalls. The unit I received to review is labeled as a “MED” or Medium on the box. I assume these will come in Small, Medium, and Large. My head is definitely on the border of needing a Large which I wouldn’t have guessed I would need if I was to shop for these on my own. Out of the three heads in my family (One female, and two males) the female found them perfect for fit, I found them bordering on too small, and the other male found them too small to even wear. The coverage of the actual sunglasses is great but the tightness (width) that comes from the lack of flex around/above the ear is what I found problematic. These come with 3 sizes of nose pads which helps find the right fit for your face but I would say the width is the larger concern for comfort. I see why these would be great for running/jogging or any other physical exercise outdoor because they are definitely designed to be stable on your head.
Battery Life is great so far. I have used them for hours and haven’t been able to drain them all the way yet. The battery is rated at 8 hours and I have no doubt in my mind that you will be able to achieve this. They are equipped with quick charge to if you need to gain hours of use within a short time you can do so. The Tempo do have an IPX4 rating on the inside of the frame which means they can withstand “splashing water, no matter the direction” which is great again for sweat and weather that may occur while wearing.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, I have been blown away by the Bose Frames Tempo. I did not expect the sound quality and actual usefulness of these sunglasses. Not only are you getting a quality pair of sunglasses but also great audio! When it comes to sizing, make sure to do the proper research to make sure you are buying the correct size.

TLDR: Bose finally delivers on what I think they were originally going for with the previous generation of Frames: a great sounding Bluetooth headset merged with sunglasses that give you your tunes on the go but don't block your peripheral hearing but still focuses the sound to you. Not for every sized head though.
I tried the Bose frames a while ago after they first came out, and at the time I though ‘Meh, they’re OK’. This time around though, I can honestly say that I am truly impressed. I’ve been putting the Tempo version of Frames (the new exercise focused pair), through its paces over the last few days and they have come out as a great option for those who exercises outside and want their tunes with them.
I know you may ask yourself, ‘Why would I need a pair of these when I have a pair of sunglasses and a set of bluetooth earbuds already?’ The key to the Frames is that you can have your polarized sunglasses and your tunes while not blocking out the sounds around you AND also not disturbing others with your Himalayan Throat Music. Is that just me? OK then. I was skeptical about how well Bose could beam-form the music into my ears but when I put them on for the first time and asked my wife if she could hear it, she said she could only hear a faint bit of music but it was a lot lower than when I had my open-backed headphones. I didn’t believe her so I had her put them on and sure enough, I could barely hear the music. That is despite the fact that on my head the music was pretty loud. Or at least where I would want the volume anyway.
So my wife and I went for a five mile hike/walk and it was great because I could still carry on a conversation when I wanted, could hear others (like bikers) coming up behind us, and generally just be more aware of my surroundings than I would be with my ‘Pods in my ears. We were out for about an hour and fifteen minutes and I was sweating pretty good because of the heat but the glasses never moved from my face. Now that was partially because of the nice grippy nose pads but it was also because the back of the arms on the glasses were holding on to my head pretty tightly. So tightly that it began to hurt around the one hour mark. The temples of the glasses do not have springs so there is no give there, but there is some flex in arms past where they go over your ears. Now I don’t have a big head. My tailor joked about how I had the exact same dimensions as his display dummies and I think my head is pretty average as well. When I wear a fitted hat, I wear a 7 1/4 and I would say my head shape is oval. Despite the box saying ‘Global Fit’, I would take that with a grain of salt. It’s only global fit if your ‘globe’ is normal sized.
Today I went for a twelve mile bike ride and I don’t wear headphones while riding because I want the situational awareness and I don’t like the wind noise I normally get with headphones of any sort. I wore these since I needed sunglasses and I knew it wouldn’t mess with my situational awareness, at least if I could listen at normal volume. Sure enough, I could listen to my music with only one swipe up on the temple to take the volume up a single notch. I maintained situational awareness and my ride came in at exactly an hour since I wasn’t riding too hard. It is a pretty hilly ride though, so again I was sweaty, but the Tempos didn’t slide down on my face at all. Also, they hadn’t started to hurt either so maybe the arm grip was a bit lighter this time.
The Bose Frames come with a really nice case, which was a lot more compact than I was expecting for glasses that are as big as these are. They also come with a USB A to C cable to charge your glasses (yay, USB-C), a nice cleaning cloth, and two sets of bigger nose pads. The installed pads work fine for me but they seem pretty easy to change out if you need to.
While you can pair these up with your phone straight from the Bluetooth menu like I initially did, they will prompt you to download the app that works with the Frames and I recommend that you do so. Not only will you be able to get firmware updates this way but there are some settings you may want to change that you can only do through the app. The three big changes you might want to do are:
1. Whether you get voice prompts or not. The glasses when you start them up will say what they are connected to and the battery level.
2. Whether you want the Frames to turn off after 10 minutes of non-movement. I don’t know how sensitive these are to movement so I don’t know if relaxing by the pool would give you enough movement to keep the tunes going.
3. Whether you want them to turn off 2 seconds after flipping them over onto their ‘top’. I turned this off because this is exactly what I did when I take sunglasses off for even a couple of seconds to read something or whatever. I did not look at the settings prior to using these for the first time and I thought maybe they had a sensor that could tell when they were on your face. No, they just stopped playing music when I took them off and set them down on their top (like they are in the second picture).
The App is also they only way you will find out about the controls that are available since the documentation is pretty thin. It pretty much just says, ‘Download the App.’ I suppose you could also just trial and error it but why? As I said earlier, you can adjust the volume by swiping forward or back on the right temple. You can also double-tap there to bring up your voice assistant. The other controls such as play/pause, next/previous track, and answer the phone are all done with the power button on the underside of the left temple. Not sure how I feel about this because it doesn’t take much to turn off the Frames via that button and I can see myself accidentally turning it off. Fortunately I can just manage things via my watch.
Finally, the only other thing a can think to write about is the battery life. I fully charged these up when I first got them so they started with a full charge and they have now had about two and a half hours of play time at medium volume since then. When I turned them on just now, the voice said the battery was at 80%, though the App shows that it is at 75%. That may be an issue with the app rounding down or something because they showed 95% right after unplugging them. If those numbers hold up, which I have no reason to suspect otherwise, I think it is very plausible that the Frame Tempos will get the eight hours of play time the Bose says they will.
All-in-all, I have to say that I am really impressed with the Bose Frame Tempos. I will be wearing these from now on whenever I am out and about and want to listen to my tunes. Good job Bose!

Awesome workout sunglasses with great “Bose” audio

These are perfect sound sunglasses for working out or other outdoor activities with that awesome Bose sound. These are my new "Go To" running outside sunglasses/audio combo in one.
Pros:
Great sound – especially for not actually being in your ear at all.
Since they are not in your ear, you can better hear your surroundings which is great for running, biking, etc and being aware of cars approaching, etc.
Comfortable – at first I thought they were a tad snug with the side arms touching the side of my face, but that actually keeps them in place and were very comfortable on my regular 5K runs.
Perfect for running, biking or other outdoor activity.
Great optics – super clear sunglasses.
3 options for nose pieces for a good fit (the default “2” option was perfect for me).
Long battery life
Easy to use controls – love the tactile button under the right arm to pause, next song, previous song and because they aren’t in your ears – no pressure on your ear drums when you tap it.
Volume controls also very intuitive – just gentle swipe the right sunglasses arm forward (up) or back (down)
They can also be used for calls, but I don't answer a lot of calls while "getting the run in", so haven't tried that feature.
Double tap the side arm and access Siri or Google
Very easy to pair and Bose app is easy to use
Come with a nice protective travel case
Love the simple turn over and set down to turn off feature!
Cons:
You lose a little bit of peripheral visibility just to the left and right of the glasses due to the larger side arms (but with nothing in your ears the ability to hear your surroundings definitely offsets this, plus these larger arms give you the great battery life)
Because they aren’t in your ears, if you “bump up the volume” others that are close to you will definitely hear your music playing. These are made/designed for outside activities though – not for indoors on a treadmill, at your desk, or on a plane etc.

Received these for Christmas and they are by far the coolest things I have used in ages!
Pros:
-Sounds amazing!
-Looks good on most people
-Easy to charge (USB-C)
-Comfortable
-Discrete listening
-Doesn't block outside sounds
-8-hour battery
-Great for fitness
Cons:
-Bulky
-Case doesn't come with a strap
Unboxing:
The frames come with a cloth zipper case, headphones, three sets of nose silicone tips for a good fit, and documentation. Set up is done via the Bose Music app and is fairly seamless. There is an initial software update but it happens in the background (albeit slowly).
Use: First use will make you smile. The sound is just so different and amazing to hear. It is not as good as sound quality from some high-end cans but it is unique in that it is somewhat projected into your ear and just sounds "different" while still sounding great. Keep in mind your audio is not 100% private, even with the directional audio so those around you might be able to hear your music/podcasts. Spoken audio is harder for others to hear but music can be audible fairly easily.
The calls are superb! Paired with an iPhone 12 Pro, I could hear the caller crystal clear and they stated it sounded almost exactly like I wasn't using a headset. This is likely due to the microphones on the inside of the frame as opposed to the outside so it blocks wind and other noises much more effectively.
I am tempted to wear them indoors (which you technically could if you take out the frames but that's just silly) but it is not always practical.
Using these has motivated me to go work out more and mow the lawn just to have an excuse to use them!

Comfortable Sunglasses With Great Sound Quality

Bose has truly carried their audio quality over to the Tempos. The sound is nothing short of amazing. I was astonished that the Tempo sound is better than my over the ear headphones and yet the speakers of the Tempos don't go over or cover your ears,

The Tempo comes with 3 sets of nose pieces which allow you to adjust the glasses to fit you. The ear pieces fit snug around the sides of my head but aren't so snug as to make them uncomfortable. They feel like normal sunglasses. Bose has also designed them to allow for the lenses to be changed. I hope to see quite a few different lens styles to be made available such as different reflective colors on the front of lenses in the future. The lenses that come with the Tempos are polarized and tinted enough to shield your eyes from the sun as you would expect from normal sunglasses. The lenses are medium tent. Transitioning from outside to inside while wearing the glasses didn't cause a problem as the tint is such that I was still able to walk inside from my patio into my living room and see well enough that I didn't worry about having to stop to take them off before further moving through the living room. I went jogging while wearing them and didn't have a problem with the fit. They felt comfortable and stayed in place throughout the jog. Also, a little sweat got on both ear pieces, but this didn't cause a problem. I just cleaned the ear pieces after the jog and everything was fine. The USB-C charge port is on the bottom of the right ear piece. My Tempos didn't come with a cover for the port which is something I wish Bose had included. I would think that at some point dust or sweat my enter the port, so it would have been nice to have a cover for it. They also come with a USB-C charge cable, but they don't have a charge block included. I was able to use one of the many I have around the house to plug the cable into and charge the glasses. The case that comes with the glasses is a good quality case and will hold the glasses with the charge cable and included cleaning cloth. The battery life is good. I've listened to an audio book and music while connected to my phone over Bluetooth. So far, I have about 8 hours of listening time. My current charge remaining from the initial full charge is 40%. That's after the 8 hours of listening time plus the time of setup and registration with the app.
Sound quality is excellent. The speakers don't fully cancel out surrounding noise, but I can hear music or an audio book over the noise of a TV, outside AC unit, and general traffic noise with the volume set to 30%. I was truly surprised by how well they work. I was thinking that I would probably have to raise the volume a lot just to hear anything over ambient noise, but that was not the case. 30% volume allowed me to hear music and an audio book just fine with background noise sources around and near me. The audio is very clear. No hissing sounds or crackling noise in the audio. I was also able to walk 50 ft. away from my phone from my back bedroom out to my patio without any disruption to the audio or the glasses disconnecting. The signal had to carry through 3 walls. I also was able to walk 60 ft. away, line of sight, from my phone and had no problem with the connection.
The controls are simple. A button on the bottom of the right ear piece powers it on and off. For music, it plays, stops, forwards and reverses tracks. For phone calls, it answers and hangs up the call. Volume up and down is done by sliding a finger forwards or backwards along a specific part of the outer right ear piece. A double tap of the same area activates your devices voice assist. These are simplified, easy to use controls. One additional way to power off the glasses is to turn them upside down for two seconds. Overall, I'm very pleased with the Tempos and would definitely recommend them to others.

Bose Tempo Audo Sunglasses
Included- 1 Pair global fit Tempo Style frames, 2 additional nose pad sizes, 1 cleaning wipe, 1 USB-C charging cord, 1 hard cover zip up travel case.
*Works with the Bose Music App, which is free in the app store.
You will need to download the free Bose Music app to manage your Bluetooth and set up your frames. Once you log in and turn on the frames, it will tell you how much battery is left. Mine came at 50% charged. They will fully charge in 1 hour. If you need a quick charge- 30 minutes will give you 4 hours of playtime. There's nothing worse than going to use them, finding they're out of battery and having to wait a long time. Then pair the frames with your phone and app, which was super quick and easy. The app will ask you to name your frames and then proceed to help you find the perfect fit. You want to find the right size nose pads so that the frames are the most comfortable and you have the best sound quality. The app gives you product tips for music, phone calls, touch control, power and lenses. The Bose music app shows you the what products you own, which one is active, how much battery there is and what song is playing. You can control the volume, play, pause or skip.
The music controls on the Bose Tempo sunglasses are very simple. There is a tiny button on the right temple. Press once to play or pause. Press it twice to skip forward, and press 3 times to skip backwards. I like that better than any swipe or multiple buttons. That same button will help control your phone calls. Press the button once to answer or end a call. Press it twice to decline a call. To change the volume, swipe forward on the right temple to increase the volume and swipe backward to decrease it. There is a sweet spot on the frames to do that. So it just takes a few attempts to find it and then it's easy from then on. To dramatically change the volume you may need to swipe more than once to get to your desired volume level. There are 2 ways to power off the frames- you can press and hold the little button on the right temple until the light double blinks white OR you can just flip the frames upside down for at least 2 seconds. I love that option! It's so convenient and easy.
I like the combination of shades and music. I was really worried the Tempo frames would be really big and bulky, but they really aren't too bad. From the front of the shade, you cannot tell that you're wearing audio sunglasses at all. From the sides, there is a little size and bulk. At the most, the arm or temple is 1 inch tall. I think the frames look better on my husband than on me. They fit his face better. They're a little large for me as you can see in my picture. The music turned up in volume, can only faintly be heard from someone sitting next to me in total quiet. If you are wearing your shades, but need to pop inside and don't want to have them down, you can push your shades to the top of your head, and the music will still play so you can continue to listen, just at a natural reduced volume since it's not right in your ears. I love that I don't have to stop listening to my music unless I want to. The Tempo frames are designed for active use or exercise. They will hold up to sweat and are weather resistant. It's Bose, so you know the sound quality. is going to be there. I do wish I could tweak my music settings. The app will not let me raise or lower the bass, etc. so that would be nice to add in an update. I am also right handed, which these frames are set up for, so it might be a little trickier for someone who is left handed. But overall, why pay for just a nice pair of sunglasses or just a nice pair of headphones when you can now have both in one! I know I will enjoy these Bose frames for a long time to come.

So I haven't charged or used the audio in a week and when I was waited in line to get the Covid test, I was still at 90%.
As for the audio, I like it. Remember that this is NOT in ear or over ear speakers. These have down firing drivers. This is great so I can hear the world around me while still rocking out.
The fit.
I was unsure about how tight the glasses frame was when I first started using these as my main pair of glasses. I now no longer have any issues with the grip as these glasses have never felt like they were going to fall off my face.
Other notes.
Flipping these upside-down to turn them off is natural. When I take them off, I forget that I'm turning them off and that's a good thing. I don't have to remind myself to go out of my way to do this.
The glasses filter out a lot more than my last pair while keeping everything looking perfect. Maybe looking at my phone screen is a bit trippy, but see for yourself.

I purchased these Bose Tempo Sunglasses for cycling and love them more than Ithought I would!!! The fit is comfortable with minimal movement on my face. I'm an average size woman with a slightly small face, but the frames are designed unisex and come with multiple sized nose grips for a snug, confortable fit. Sound quality is very good. The side button makes skipping tracks and taking calls easy and safe. Volume swipe is also very user friendly.
I was caught in a light rain during one ride and wore the glasses with no damage to them. Just purchased a pair of very reasonable priced interchangeable frames which is a great option! Battery life is reasonable and lasts through a day of long riding. I would purchase again and look forward to upgraded models.
I would have given 5 stars, but the price is slightly high in my opinion. I'd love to see these come in at $200 or less. Also, I'd love to see a sleeker design for women. These factors aren't deal breakers as I love these glasses and the freedom from ear buds!!
