    To me, Its GREAT

    Posted .

This is my 3rd surround system I have bought. I was not a Bose lover/hater before I bought this system. My brother-in-law got some Bose speakers for his home theater system (I think 901) and I was impressed with the sound he had so I thought I'd give Bose a try. Price- This was the only thing that has been holding me back for a few months. I probably spent about $700 on my 2 previous systems so dropping 2.5x that amount on 1 system... needless to say I was hesitant especially after reading all the Bose bashers posts. I seen a good deal came along, so I snagged this system. Setup- Pretty quick and easy, depending on how many things you hook up to it. Everything is clearly labled and I'm not very TECHY and it took me about an hour and a half to setup completely. I have the rear speakers mounted up on the wall with the "wireless" adapter for the rear speakers. So setup was fairly quick and VERY easy. Quality- Very impressed. The iPod dock was very heavy, not made of cheap lightweight material like my other 2 systems had. The speakers are VERY heavy, about TWICE as heavy as my previous Sony and Samsung home theater speakers. The cables are thick and overall I was VERY impressed with the quality feel of these pieces. The LCD remote is quite something. I mean it takes a little while to get used to, but once you get the hang of it its quite amazing. All you have to do to sync it to your xbox, blu ray player etc. is to just point it at the Bose control box along with blu ray player remote, you press a few buttons and BAM the Bose remote is synced to use it. Sound- Far and away superior to any of my previous Home Theater Systems. I was always annoyed when I had to turn the volume up and down during movies during dialog parts and action scenes. Thats very annoying but with this system I have not done it at all. I usually play my blu rays at about 55 and you can go up to 100 on the volume setting. When I play my iPod it literally BOOMS. I am fine with the bass, and this system when cranked to about 75 shakes my walls! Overall I am very impressed with the ease of setup, the Bose remote is amazing, and the sound is amazing. I am sure you could buy bits and pieces and have great sound too for less cost, but if you are like me and do not know a whole lot about electronics, and are looking for the WHOLE SHABANG in one box, I would recommend this product. The price is costly, but in my opinion its worth it. I haven't had a problem with it, but I've heard Bose Customer Service is top notch. The only thing negative is the price. All the accessories are REALLY expensive and aftermarket products lack the quality of Bose's accessories. I got the Bose speaker stands because the aftermarket ones are very light and unstable.

The best sound for limited space.

    Posted .

I had a Panasonic theater in a box system, which sounded ok, but when the tray broke on the DVD player, I thought that it was time for a new system. I tried Samsung, but the blue ray player gave me trouble so I returned it. I tried an LG system, but I did not like the way it sounded. I listened to the Bose setup in the store and was very impressed. I finally decided to go for the money and buy the Bose system and a separate blue ray player. I am very satisfied with the way it sounds in my home. Every thing that Bose says about the sound of their system I found to be true. I know that part of the cost of their system is their store set up and advertising, but without it I would have not known how good it was.

Save Money in the Long Run

    Posted .

I have been looking at Bose for years (approx. 15-20). I always walked away because of the price. I always said, "Someday I might just do that if.... " I have read reviews about room size, quality, spending to much money, you can get better doing it yourself, it does not sound the same as in the store. Well I am here to tell you, all I ever heard or thought that was negative was truly incorrect. I have a 15x20 family room and have never heard the sound detail in watching movies, TV, or even listening to music. It also corrects the video on the TV and has a Great Universal Remote included. After years of waiting, I could not be happier, and I really wish I did it sooner. I have spent a few thousand trying to do the component thing. I don't consider myself a professional Entertainment person, but I can say I have been around the block with equipment. My family room sounds better than a theater now thanks to Bose. My wife was watching Nemo with the kids and she thought we had a leak in the wall because she was hearing sound from the rear speakers and it was so realistic. If you have the money, don't be afraid to spend your money here. This is honestly my first review ever, and it is all because I have to tell people it was worth it. This is not a kids system, it is easy to put together. So, if you want something that will take hours to assemble, does not sound good and you feel like you just lost money, stay away from this system. When you open the box, they actually put a thank you letter at the top of the box, explaining there pride in construction and your satisfaction guarantee, they are 5 start from the beginning.

    The Sound Quality is unsurpassed!

    |
    Posted .

The sound quality is excellent. I was able to connect my tv, DVD, and cable box with minimal effort. The receiver does a speaker test to make sure you can receive the best quality sound from each location of the speakers. The iPod/iphone port is a great feature. The system has several locations to plug in gaming or other devices. The only negative comment I have is the system doesn't recognize my tv remote, so I have to use the tv remote to turn on the tv and for a few other features. I am hoping in the future with updates, that the system will be able to recognize my tv. I did call the BOSE customer support and they told me it may be possible in the future. Otherwise, the BOSE remote works all components and is easy to set-up.

    Typical Bose product - Great!

    Posted .

This is my second Lifestyle system. I bought a Lifestyle 12 back in 1996 for $2000 and decided to update my system due to new technology. GREAT improvement! EXACT same speakers as 12, but significantly better sound. Easy to set up, easy to use, and wondeful sound. Not a bass-thumping system, but a refined piece of technolgy with amazing sound. Although some might find it pricey, well worth the $2500! Can't go wrong with Bose.

    Bose v25 home theatre system

My husband has always wanted to purchase a Bose system but the price was always so high and he also had to deal with me..lol. I loved my old surround sound system. We had an Onkyo receiver and polk audio speakers, sounded great! So for our 10 yr. anniversary I found this system on sale. Brought it home hooked it up with ease due to the on screen step by step tutorial and I have to say it sounds great.

Great system, easy to set up

    Posted .

The Bose Lifestyle V25 system was very easy to set up and has great sound. The contents are in 4 seperate boxes, seperated by the steps for the setup, making the setup that much easier. The on screen instructions for setting up the system and connecting your devices makes this a very simple process. The sound of this system is the high quality I expect from a Bose system.

So I had a lil extra money and decided to splurge on this system. my current system was alright but I have always wanted Bose. setting up was really easy. The first thing I watched on it was Thursday night football and it was awesome. it really does make you feel like your in the stadium. Def recommend to anyone and everyone who wants great sounding system. haven't had a chance to watch Top Gun yet on it but heard it is amazing as well. got it when it was on sale so that helped a lot as well.

Awesome! Theater in your own home

    Posted .

This Lifestyle V25 is everything I have wanted. I used to go into Best Buy all the time and listen in awe to it. Now I can do that in my own house. The set up is remarkably easy. The boxes are numbered by order of the set up process. Once everything is together, the instructional setup on the system walks you through how to connect all of your devices. I also bought the Bose rear speaker mounts for the ceiling and it just tops everything off. The iPod connection and AM/FM tuner are all great to have as well. Other than the price, I have nothing negative to say about this system. HIghly recommended.

    Fantastic Sound!!!

But these are Bose after all. The price was STEEP but the sound is incredible. The setup was idiot proof. The sound was customized for the size and shape of my room with the use of the included ADAPTIQ system headset. The system walks you through adding components and learning the remote functions of the associated component remote. The specialized buttons are not learned but all of the general buttons were transferred. It's great to have on screen control of all of my components. Overall I'm very pleased with this product. This is my dream system.

    Awesome system

    Posted .

This system is fantastic, it is very sharp looking and the sound clarity is superb. I was dissapointed however after buying a 4,000 dollar 3D t.v. and a 2,500 dollar bose system, the bose is not 3d compatible so now im stuck watching 3d with no surround sound just out of the t.v. speakers. Get with the program Bose!!

    Great Surround sound

    Posted .

Bose is a great crisp sound. Great for watching movies. It's just ok for radio use. Not enough bass for radio or iPod use. But if you don't listen to dance or trance music u won't miss the Bass. Hdmi is the only reason I bought this unit to upgrade from my old Lifestyle 28. It allowed me to hook up all my game systems and dircTV box. I got it as a close out for $500 and if it were not for the price I would have just bought a 7.1 receiver and hooked up my original Bose speakers.

    Great home theater system

    |
    Posted .

The good: The sound is good but you can get the same sound quality from something that is cheaper. What you don't get with other systems is the ease of use and expandability options that Bose offers. Their user interface is great and the ability to easily add a source and teach the Bose remote the new sources commands is stellar. The design is clean and minimalist which is one of the primary reasons I purchased this model. The bad: This unit does not have bluetooth, airplay, or Ethernet which is common on most receivers, especially for this cost. You are locking your self into the Bose ecosystem, especially if you expand the system to multiple rooms. This does not support anything more than 5.1 sound decoding so no 7.1 or 9.2. In summary, I like the product, I just wish it had a few of its feature refreshed or updated.

All the features I wanted and more!

    Posted .

THIS is the ONLY unit I could find that has an ON SCREEN display of volume. May sound trivial to you, but it is important to me. The sound is great, and the setup was easy. -well, except for running the wires! The quality is excellent. Brackets for ceiling mount of speakers are not included, but are available for a steep price -though I'd say it is worth it. I'm not an audiophile, just someone that appreciates quality and a unit that has the features that I want. Yes, it is expensive, but I figure that it is going to be around for a good long while. Apparently it is workable with the new 3D televisions coming out, which I was worried about. Darned nice unit.
