    Enjoying them

    Posted .

These headphones are proof that an in-store demo station is designed to really sell the product. I suspect the demo music is specifically made for the headphones. You just won't get the same quality with your own device and music. That said, the sound quality is (given they aren't noise canceling and in-ear) better than average. I suspect the higher price tag is for the durability of materials and build (great strong plastic, aluminum/metal band), compact design (better than others in the class) and comfort (very soft and cushiony ear pieces and padded headband). The detachable cord is a good idea. I'm going to try the headphones out with different cords (JVC, Monster) and see if that improves sound quality. I chose black because the white demo pair showed how much dirt can build up. They fold down nicely into the slim (barely 1" thick) case. I intend to carry these around in my bag with laptop when I'm working off site.

I was in search of new head gear I had a pair of SkullCandies for a few years actually 3 years the wire wore at the end of the ear So in looking for something I came across these Bose good price more sound of the music then heavy bass I want to hear the voice not heavy basses . For the price the sound is amazing I sampled Beats head gear Bose still wins over Beats as far as sound quality.

The best, and cute white color

    Posted .

Whoever said that Bose is overrated really hasn't tried them. They may be high priced, but who wants to wear headphones that aren't comfy or sound good. These are both super comfortable, and sound really shockingly good. I actually was tempted to buy the prior ones my friend had, but being a girl I just couldn't find myself liking that black and silver dorky look. The white version, insn't blindingly white, it's kind of eggshell and there's a strip of glossy whiteness on the side. But it looks very cute. I bought them because they look way better than the beats in white and they are $50 cheaper than monster solo! I've had them for 2 days now, and usually don't do reviews, but when I go the bestbuy.com reminder email I coulndt resist. BUY IT! you won't regret it.

    I LOVE these headphones

I can't say enough good about these headphones. Perfectly balanced sound quality. From mids, highs, lows, bass to treble. Everything blends together perfectly without to much of anything and the result is you enjoy your music and hear it exactly like it was intended to be heard. I use them with my iPod touch and nano and they're great for any type of music. They sound the best when I'm watching movies on my laptop though. I fell asleep watching Pearl Harbor the other night and they woke me up real quick when the bombing started lol. I almost hit the celing they were so loud and the sound was so great. It's important to remember that what they're picking up the sound from plays a huge part in the sound quality of any headphones. They don't advertise to be noise isolating or cancelling but they do a fairly good job at it. With the volume halfway up on my iPod I can't hear much of what's going on (at normal volume) around me. I don't turn the volume up any louder than that but I'm sure they would totally shut the world out without turning the volume up near all the way if you wanted them to. I'm a smaller woman with a fairly small head so I can't use them during any fast moving physical activity because they're not tight enough and they'll move around. For someone with a larger head I'm sure this wouldn't be an issue though, and it definitely wasn't a deal breaker for me. You might want to try them on in a store if possible though. They are super comfortable and you can wear them indefinitely with no pain or discomfort at all. I've worn them for hours at a time and fallen asleep with them on several times. They fold down easily to about the size of a CD for travel and come with a soft carrying case. However, I think for $150.00 Bose should give you a hard case to protect them. The way they look is a plus for me to. They're a cute (girly, but they do come in black for the guys) off white/eggshell color. The size is perfect for me also because I didn't want big, heavy cans on my head. I've only had them for about three weeks so I can't speak to much about durability, but I'm not to concerned about it because I know Bose is a quality company that stands behind their products. They are pricey but you definitely do get what you pay for with these and I highly reccomend them.

    Nice Headphones

I bought the QC15 noise cancelling headphones from Bose but they made me motion sick. I found online that this is common by researching online. I returned and bought these which offer the same quality sound without the noise cancelling feature. I wore these on my trip to Africa and on the climb of Kilimanjaro. They were great for each and although the ambient noise on the plane was heard, the sound was fine and there were no issues following movies. On the mountain, the headphones allowed me to keep motivated with music while keeping my ears warm in the sub zero temps. The only issue with these headphone is that they hurt when I try to wear my glasses with them. I also like that there is a plug at the headphone so that if the cord gets caught on something, the plug comes out instead of the headphones getting ripped off your head.

Nice portable headphones, but does hurt on ears

    |

These headphones are really nice in being portable and just the right size. The sound from these headphones are really good, but I did notice that some sound cards sound bad with these headphones. For example, my old laptop has an old sound card so the headphones do not sound as good as plugging them in to my new laptop or ipod. They sound great on my new labtop and ipod, but they tend to hurt my ears after an hour or later because of the pressure. However, the pressure did sort of go away after the ear pads finally wore out and now I am able to wear them for several hours without my ears hurting. Also, these headphones give great sound, but they do lack in bass compared to other headphones like beats or sony. However, again these headphones are much more portable than other headphones and have a great size to them.

    Comfortable and integrated sound

    |
    Posted .

I am picky about audio and was not going to spend the $300 for sound cancelling headphones, so these were my 2nd choice...Bose has always stood for outstanding sound, and these are in keeping with their brand. The sound is integrated, meaning that you can hear the bass and treble as a smooth, solid sound, but also still hear the details. For sure they sound best using my laptop, 2nd best with iPad & 3rd with phone. I'm actually OK with them not cancelling sound, because I use public transportation and like to be somewhat aware of my surroundings, while at the same time cancelling out some of the chatter around me...so they work in that regard.

They are great, portable, and easy to use. Comfortable to wear and block outside sound very well. I like to wear them to watch movies when I fly and now all I hear is the movie and not other passengers. They are great!

Awesome sound! You can't go wrong with Bose!

These sound great! I tried on several different styles and brands and none of them sounded as good as these. Some of the ones that I tried were twice as expensive so why pay more for something that doesn't sound as good? I am very happy with my Bose head phones.

    Great sounding headphones

These are some great sounding headphones that you won't regret but maybe your wallet/purse will. The price is steep but if you catch them on sale you quickly find out they are worth the price. Once again the sound is crisp, I have yet heard any distortion from high volume, and they fit comfortably on your ears.

I needed Headphones that will last and still gives the same sound quality. I tried some other brands, which were good and lees pricey but they do not last long. This was my choice and I am happy with it. I would have bought it before if the price was less. ANd it did not disappoint, the sound quality, the noise cancellation, the comfort on the ears, the color and style. Well, It is Bose afterall.

Great for those who want a "true" sound

    Posted .

First off, I'm not an audiophile, so this won't be a technical review. I am mid-50ish and grew up with the best roots of rock music, and in my opinion, these phones capture a very realistic image of the sound that was recorded. I do like a lot of bass, but not to the point that thumping bass is all you hear, and I think these hit a pretty nice balance on that. The bass will not overpower you, so if you like a lot of bass, or if your music doesn't involve melody and harmony, look elsewhere. You get a very wide range accoustically, and you just might hear some things you hadn't heard before even on a familiar song! Can't say they are a "value", but they are very good headphones.

Overal they are awesome and do the job for me all the time!

    Clean sound at top volume

    Posted .

Tried Beats Solo and Sony NC40. Returned both. Solo's bass was very muddy. Very tight fit but good construction. Sony's was suppossed to be a noise cancelling but that did not work with street noise. Volume just got louder when you turn on noise cancelling. Sound quality was also very poor. For the Bose OE2, sound quality is very good. Crisp highs and clear bass. Very comfortable ear pads. I'm keeping this one.

    Amazing sound for headphones

Had to find something besides the earbuds that came with the iPod Touch. They really hurt my ears. These are so comfortable, even more so than the other headsets I tried. Sound is wonderful. They are not noise-reducing, but I do not want that since I will use these when traveling and need to be aware of what's going on. It's a personal preference thing. Never thought I would be willing to spend Bose prices, but I am glad I did.

Great Clarity, bass equal to beats solo...Trust Me

    Posted .

These headphones are amazing. They have the clarity that bose is known for, but a great bass response like the beats solo hd, but unlike the beats, it doesnt overpower the rest of the music and lets you listen to many genres of music and they will sound great. The beats only sound good with hiphop and dubstep, so your not gonna get the best listening experience with all those other genres of music. These are very comfortable. Usually i dont find on-ear headphones very comfortable, but these really are. I listened to these in a 2-hour car ride and found no discomfort at all. I also I dont get sweaty with these on unlike a lot of other headphones. The durability is pretty average with these headphones. They are the more flexible than any other headphone that I've tried, but they are made with a lot of plastic which could have many long-term affects. Overall they are pretty durable and should last you a long time. Overall these headphones are a pretty good buy. The only big problem I have is they leak a lot of sound, I dont listen to my music very loud, so I dont have a problem, but if you listen to your headphones loud and dont want people to hear your music, then I would think about looking at different headphones. Also they dont get very big. I have maybe a slightly bigger than average sized head, but i am 1 notch from the biggest size on the headphone and i know there are people that have a bigger head than me and there headphone might be too big for this headphone. This isnt a huge problem, but they could've made the headphone a little bigger.

I wanted a light weight pair of headphones to take to the gym everyday. Didn't want beats like everyone else. Bose has been around for a long time and I trust the brand. It was a great purchase. Got them on sale and I use them everyday. I'm very satisfied.

Better Than Beats for Daily User

    |
    Posted .

I use the Beats by Dre (for my work office) and use the Bose OE2 for my home office. All in all the surrounding sounds and the music I listen to are identical (with a few more "Mom" yells at home). The sound quality of both units are comparable, but the Beats aren't nearly as comfortable as the OE2s. In fact, taking off the Beats feels like I've left a vacuum chamber and my ears feel like they have had suction cups removed. I guess that's necessary for the level of outside noise reduction the Beats provide. Beats are great for planes, but for everyday use, the OE2s are far better in my opinion.

    it has an interchangable cord.

over all very good sound, functional. having an interchangeable cord was the selling point. don't know about durability, haven't had these long enough to comment. and in the time I have had them the comfort decreases the more I use them...

I like the headphones a lot. However, I wish I would have done a little more research because I was hoping to wear them while working out but they don't stay on that well. They are made more for relaxing but the sound quality is good.
