I originally tried the Bose Freestyles and they were pretty good. I decided to spend the extra money on the Bose Quiet Comfort 20's and it was the best decision I ever made. The noise canceling feature is amazing. I use them every day and only have to charge them once a week at the most....just remember to turn the noise canceling feature off when you're done using them!

Although not the best for true audiophiles because Bose shapes their noise, they are the best for travelers who want it quiet or for those that just like to hear their music, books, etc. without straining to hear it over other noises! I've bought two of these - because I ended up losing one pair.

Let's start with the negative, I bought the i model which is designed for the iPhone and I assumed the iPad. The issue is with the connector, if you have a smart case the connector is not designed to work with the smart case. The pin will not fully engage unless you take then iPad out of the case. Given that Apple has had this design requirement for years I am surprised that Bose did not account for this. I don't have a case on my phone so I am not sure if this issue is the same on the phone. Otherwise sound and performance exceed the QC15s I owned.

Blocks noise and has great sound. Compact to travel with.

The headphones are comfortable and block out outside noise really well.

Previously accidentally purchased the Android version, the iOS version is denoted as 20i (make sure you check). Supposedly the features are integrated with iOS in mind and you wouldn't want to grab the wrong ones to only find out, yeup, you can't fully use your headset. Great quality, not a fan of the rubber part but it's well-made and sound is great for earbuds.

Great sound, fits and feels comfortable on the ear!! Large switch and charging was a bit annoying!!

Great for in flight entertainment and very comfortable they dont fall out like other. Pretty expensive for what they are, a wired head set

I purchased these as a gift for my girlfriend......see absolutely loves the comfort and sound. I have used them a couple of times while mowing the lawn and can barely hear the mower. These are so amazing I am going to buy another pair for myself. I have yet to find earbuds that fit into my ear comfortably......these fit perfect and I barely know I have them in. I think the price is a little steep but you get what you pay for.

I tested out several styles of Bose headphones before picking these. I commute to work by train, and it's virtually impossible to hear anything clearly on normal headphones without the volume near maximum. I was impressed with these the second I turned on noise cancellation, without having hit play on the actual music. Once I started the music, I was blown away by what I was hearing. It would be a disservice to call these "earbuds." Still, as great as they sounded in the store, I was worried that I would be disappointed the first time I wore them during my commute. They lived up to everything I felt about them in the store and softened the blow of having spent so much money on them (something I swore I'd never do for a pair of headphones, but these converted me). These sold me on Bose as a brand, and I'm still looking for any excuse to buy a pair of over-the-ear or on-ear headphones. The in-ear headphones without noise cancellation sounded great as well and would have sufficed in less noisy environments; however, I highly recommend these if external noise (such as a loud train) factor into your decision at all. Also, whatever you're listening to remains in your ears; I have taken these out to listen for noise bleeding, which is non-existent.

I needed something like this as I fly a lot. I don't have room to carry over-the-ear headphones, and having such great noise-cancelling (NC) functionality in such a compact form is really amazing. The first time using on a plane, had experienced slight discomfort from a pressure caused by the NC and was disappointed. Tried them again a few days later on a return flight home from Europe and was able to wear them comfortably for nearly 6 hours without a hitch! And, yes, they are very comfortable - I've never liked ear buds and sometimes get discomfort from headphones that press on your ears - but these are truly very (and surprisingly to me) comfortable. I attribute the first time discomfort to pushing the earphones in my ears perhaps a bit too tight. I found that I don't need to - and still I got great NC and nice sound.

I tried a cheaper noise canceling headphone set, but the jack on that broke fairly quickly. So I decided to try these and I am not disappointed in the least. Sounds quality is great and the way they simply eliminate noise. Plane noise goodbye. Crying kid goodbye. Friggin' awesome.

I spend lots of time on planes so I wanted an in-ear, noise-canceling headphone. Additionally, I wanted a pair of quality in-ear headphones to listen to music while snowboarding so I thought I'd give these a try. These fit well and are comfortable for long periods of time (I've worn them continuously for 3+ hours) and stay put during activities. The noise canceling is excellent and sound quality is good, though they don't have enough bass or volume for my tastes. The sound canceling electronics box is large (about the size of a newer generation iPod Nano) and needs to be charged with a separate cable. Mine transmit a very annoying clicking sound when first starting up that eventually goes away after I push various control buttons numerous times. Overall, these are OK: comfortable, great noise canceling but they are awkward, bulky and not loud enough.

I bought these ear buds for one primary purpose and that is being able to study without the distraction of household noise (TV, piano, kids screaming, etc). And they work great. Noise is virtually eliminated except for a very faint intrusion. With a low volume of pink noise, I am pretty much in silence. They do require a snug fit, and three sizes of ear pieces are included. They are much more comfortable for me than over-the-ear or on-ear phones. I like the ability to switch off the NC with in inline controls. The sound quality is good for music with a nice range of bass and treble frequencies. I am well pleased with my investment.

Great headphones. They are very comfortable and easy to use.

A bit pricey but worth every cent. I travel significantly for work. I love my Beats and still use them at work, but got tired of packing them for business trips--too bulky. The Bose 20i are now my most essential travel tool that let me escape the world around me whenever and wherever I need or want . They are great for use with the phone, particularly long conference calls that must be done from less than stellar locations from a background noise perspective. Love both the sound and pack-ability that I decided to buy a second pair for my wife to help keep her sane on our recent overseas trip--well worth the investment.
