There is a saying that you get what you pay for and with this product that same could not be more true. Working in a live show environment I was seeking a comfortable, usable and compact noise canceling and headphone solution. He's headphones by Bose certainly delivered on my expectations. This price point I expected quality. Having owned other over ear headphones I enjoyed the comfort of that style but wanted something smaller. These pack up nicely in the travel case, can be used with and without noise cancelling option, are comfortable and worked amazing right out of the box. Made several calls and could hear clearly and focus on the call without the outside noise distracting me. Wish I would have bought them sooner.

    Better Than Over-The-Ear Bose QC

I travel light, so I wanted ear-bud style noise cancellation headphones. I have an older Bose over-the-ear version QC-3 and I feel the noise cancellation of the QC-20 are almost as good. Sound quality is close to QC-3 and for travel it is essentially equivalent. I am very pleased with the QC-20 and feel they are an excellent alternative to the over-the-ear version. It is important to size the earbud so there is a tight seal - despite that I found them comfortable for 5-6 hr flights. A critical thing to adjust if you have an iPhone is the EQ setting. I found the sound quality gets muddy with the noise cancellation on with most of the EQ settings. I found it best to either turn the EQ off or choose "flat" to keep the sound balanced. This can be found under the Music section of iPhone settings. The other great features are it works without turning on the noise cancellation to save battery, it can be used for taking phone calls, and you can plug into the airplane entertainment system (unlike Bluetooth).

Overall great in-ear headphones. Sound performance is the only reason it didn't get a perfect 5 stars. Travel / Portability - great Fit / comfort - great Sound Cancelling - great Sound Quality - good

    Best in-ear noise cancelling buds

I decided to try these out to avoid the weight on my ears, head from regular headphones on 10+ hour flights. There are very comfortable, and the NC works well as long as the bud is fit properly into your ear. If it does not seal, the noise cancelling does not work. Battery life is fine for the long flights too. I would not say they give the you the best music fidelity but for a mix of music and watching movies, games, etc. they are fine

Earpieces fit a little loose (good) but securely. Noise cancellation is effective but still allows voices to be heard albeit in a muted volume. I use these primarily while driving and flying. They work great. Driving was the big surprise. It hushed all extraneous road noises yet I could still keep situational awareness by hearing horns, sirens, voices. They where great for handsfree phone calls.

Beats gets the press and you certainly see a lot of them around. However, they are heavy, lots of fatigue when wearing them and the sound blocking is just not in the same league as Bose. Comparing Bose in-ear to over-the-ear: the in-ear are unobtrusive and far more portable. They have all the sound and space of the over-the-ear, so it was an easy call to go this these. Bose are just hands down better ... and you pay for that

    - Great sound - Fantastic in ear fit - Comfortable - Corded for ease of use on airplane - Use with my iPhone 7 (no jack) using bluetooth dongle - On noisy commuter BART train still hear ambient noise even with noise cancellation on - over ear headphones probably better than this in-ear style BUT in-ear more comfortable over long periods. - Long battery life so far

I like them, they shut out the noise on the long flight I took after I got them. Wasn't to sure about the ear buds instead of head set. But they are comfortable and didn't cause me any discomfort. They work exactly as advertised. Can't go wrong with these.

I own a set of the original Bose QC over the ear's.. I just didn't want to take them anymore due to the size. These are amazing. Excellent (and I mean excellent) noise cancelation on the plane. Just got back from France and used them both ways. Battery life is great too.

The noise cancelling capabilities of this product are excellent. I used them on a typically noisy airplane flight and the results were impressive. The music reproduction is also very good. They are very comfortable especially when sitting for six hours on a flight. I highly recommend these in ear headphones.

This is my second set of these headphones. The first set I got when they first came out years ago and that pair lasted around 5yrs. I literally traveled the world with them, over 2 million miles flying every week. They are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time and the best part is that even if the integrated battery dies, you can still use them as headphones. I actually wore the first set out but they did last 5yrs with heavy daily use. These new ones are even better. The noise cancelling and sound quality is improved and the case that comes with them now is slightly bigger and more firmer. Bottom line, they aren't cheap but they are very very good.

I purchased these earbuds after a long sleepless night in a thin walled yet upscale hotel. The next night, they worked like a charm - I heard nothing but the music I was playing. I thought, perhaps I was just so over tired that I slept too sound to hear anything. The third night was the real test! And again - Bose came through. I didn't hear people talking, or doors slamming or kids running down the hallway. I cannot say enough great things about this product. It was a little strange getting used to them on the plane ride back home - one would expect to hear the engine noise, however when you wear these in noise cancelling mode - you don't hear it! It was almost a little freaky at first because you don't think the plane is working. :) These earbuds are worth every single penny! Can't recommend more highly.

I travel quite a bit and while on the plane, the noise cancelling feature is fantastic. It definitely removes a lot of the background noise. Additionally, I sit on a lot of calls and I'm on the headphones for several hours each day. I could not ask for a more comfortable and clear sounding product.

I've had these NC earphones for about 6 months now. Have used them mowing the lawn, in the office, and on planes. They work great. They are comfortable, fit well and don't fall out of your ears. I have another NC earphone but these are my preferred due to comfort and performance. It uses micro USB for charging battery so if you are on a very long flight (e.g. trans-pacific flight), you should bring a portable charger.

bought this after reading all the positive reviews though must say i'm not really a big fan of Bose. However this one really does give Bose a good name as the noise canceling feature is really great and not to mention the sound was really good. Used it a couple of times in flight and it was better than my AT headphone due to the NC feature. Also perfect if size is a concern since these are so tiny that you can just put them in your pocket after use.

Bought these to travel international - totally worth the Money. Not only are they comfortable, do not hurt your ears after several hours, sound quality is amazing and once you initiate the noise cancellation - the world is silent. Also great for conference calls for business.

Traveling on an airplane is a lot of noise. This headphone does the job. I heard clearly the music from my iPod on a 5 hour flight. Charge it up and it is good for hours. Strongly recommend to get this headphone if you need a noise cancelling headphone.

The noise reduction capability is tremendous. I listen to soft music when going to bed and am no longer awakened by my wife's snoring. The ear buds stay put and are comfortable for extended/overnight wear. The only downside is the location and weight of the battery pack.

I love my Bose Quiet comfort 15 headphones but they are pretty bulky to carry around for travel. The Quiet Comfort 20 headphones are a good compact alternative. They do a nice job cancelling out noise (especially on a plane), have good sound and are comfortable to wear for long trips. The rechargeable battery is convenient and has lasted for intercontinental flights without a need to recharge. I wish there was wireless version but there isn't yet and that would probably limit the battery life anyway.

These headphones are the best noise cancelling headphones you can buy! They are comfortable and easy to carry around. I use them for the gym and for airplane travel. This is my second pair as I lost my others and I would buy them again if I needed too.
