I use theses when traveling and they are great for canceling noise whether I am watching a video or trying to sleep. They have made in flight travel so much more comfortable! I use to get headaches from the airplane noise, but not anymore! Thank you Bose!

I did a lot of research and read a ton of reviews. Open floor plan at the office results in lots of noisy co-workers. I had been using foam ear plugs. I was pretty sure that the headphones would not do a good enough job and I would end up returning them. It was hard to shell out the money. Again, pretty sure I'll end up returning. Absolutely not. Love the headphones. Yes, they are Active Noise Cancelling - do a better job than foam earplugs. Just awesome. Not returning them. I don't even have to connect them to my phone to use noise cancelling - just push button and it works on its own. Fantastic! Very Happy!

I bought these for noise-cancellation on a Harley Davidson (lots of noise to cancel) and for that purpose they are amazing. There's a good deal of "cracking" as wind breaks the seal around my ears but that's to be expected. What's really frustrating about this product though is that even though it's made specifically for iOS, the 1/8th inch headphone jack is not, and therefore is just a hair smaller than the female port on an iPhone, resulting in static or cracking when you wiggle the plug in the phone. For me this isn't a deal breaker but after having to spend $50 more than the Android/Samsung version, I would have expected they'd fix this little issue.

I reviewed other customers comments before purchasing this item because like most individuals I was worried about the steep price and the inflated reputation of Bose headphones. Trust me when I say this product is worth every penny. I use mine while riding motorcycles-Harleys-loud engine, wind noise in helmets all of possibly the worse conditions one can imagine for sound quality. These earbuds are incredible. One they are comfortable and set and stay in your ears. Most importantly, you immediately notice the remarkable noise canceling quality when you hit the little green switch on the noise canceling control/power unit. Remarkable sound quality, remarkable noise canceling that eliminates wind noise, engine sounds and increases riding stamina and comfort. The first few times I rode at high speed on the freeway, it was disorienting to have all of the typical noises that motorcycle riders simply accept as a condition of open air riding completely gone. I have been so impressed with these earbuds, I have not even bothered to see how they might sound in a normal environment like a workout in the gym or sitting around a room simply listening to music.

If you want a quality product with exceptional noise cancelling these are your headphones. Not quite as good as the Quite Comfort 15 which I have used for several years but the small size and light weight makes up for that by far. Fits nicely in the small travel pouch provided. I would suggest a hardsided case if you are shoving in a laptop bag along with your computer. A small Tupperware container works great.

This is the second set of these that I have bought, this time as a gift. I have used these headphones on many long international trips, and they have always performed flawlessly. Great noise reduction, great sound quality. Very comfortable. No issues with battery life, even for 14 hour flights.

The noise cancelling earbuds are great. I can be sitting in a room where the TV is on and not hear anything outside of the earbuds! They are very comfortable as well.

I travel for my job and I wanted a noise cancelling headset that took up little room. This is why I chose this one. This one is a replacement for an older one. The cord on the older one broke in several places. Hoping this one holds up better.

Noise cancellation with these headphones is great. I like that they are very small and can be easily carried in my bag or pocket. They really reduce the noise while flying and are very musical. Good bass but not boomy. I am very pleased with these units although they are pricey. Better than other noise cancelling headphones I've owned from other manufacturers.

The headphones sounds great, address very comfortable and do a great job at noise canceling (and I have a 4-year-old little girl who talks my ear off)..

These exceeded my high school son's expectations. He tried them during lunch and all background was blocked out. Plus with their shape they stay in!

Bose headphones are always great, for the design, earbuds softness and noise canceling. That's why I bought three for my family.

Noise canceling is awesome, allowing you to enjoy your music and movie with little distraction! And it's comfortable enough for all day use!

We got these for flying on planes. It blocks most of the background noise. Long battery life. Comfortable. My husband said that he "heard" the noise canceling, So he was not crazy about it. But I loved it. Great! Slightly expensive for the quality of sound, compared to sure brand.

I was pretty sure I was not going to like them and that I’d end up returning them but I needed something to drown out a noisy office. It was hard for me cough up the money too. Exceeded my expectations. When I take calls, I hear perfectly and don’t feel like I need to speak up. Absolutely worth the money. I’ve read reviews that said you have to listen to music to utilize the nois cancelling feature - not true. I can confirm that they noise cancel even when not listening to music/any audio

Great earphone with crisp sound quality. Comfortable, but the earphone parts stick out from the ear a little. This isn't that comfortable when trying to lean side of head on pillows

Wasn’t at all sure these would be worth the money, but since I’m traveling quite a bit this year and will be spending a lot of time on airplanes (including one 15-hour trip) I wanted to see if these could ease the stress. Yeah, they do. Great noise-cancelling, comfortable, pretty good battery life. I’m glad I got them.

Yes this product will set you back some at a high price. But I promise that it is all worth it. True sound cancellation, true bass and perfect fit along with additional ear buds for size. The battery charge lasts forever, and still hasn't died on me in the middle of a workout. And if it does, the headphone still work when the sound device is off.

These things are amazing. Expensive. But amazing. So far, I've used them on two long haul overseas flights and a handful of commuter train rides. It's really almost spooky when you put them in and then flip on the switch. When I first did this I kept flipping the power on and off to just be blown away by the difference. As advertised, they don't cut out everything from the outside. There are some frequencies - I suppose - that just don't get wholly blocked. Still, this is one of those things I wished I'd just bitten the bullet and gotten long ago. I like the corded option for this as opposed to the wireless for no other reason then you need the plug for use on airlines. If it was just being used on my various iStuff, I'd probably have opted for the wireless. My only concerns about this thing are as follows: * I'd seen reviews - which I can understand - that are concerned about longevity of the cord connection. There's no real way I can judge this yet, but it does seem a bit odd how close the battery/control portion is to the plug. When it's plugged into a device, it potentially hangs in a way that causes pressure to the plug and I can see where over time, this could cause wear or a cord break. Similarly, when plugged in to an airliner headset jack, it hangs down a bit. There may have been little other choice as if it was higher up it would maybe pull on the ear pieces, but it's something to take care with. Still, I'm giving 5 stars because those are just concerns to treat this thing with a little bit of care, but it totally gets the job done. * The earbuds do take getting used to. Due to the design - which does work very well for keeping them in - you do have to get used to which way to put them in. (As opposed to simple round ear buds.) But I'm getting used to that and in the end, they're better in that they stay put better than others. It's just something to get used to is all.

These do a great job blocking out external sounds/noises. I received these as a gift in preparation for an upcoming trip to Europe so I do not have any experience yet with the life of the battery (other than the information that came with the product). They fit comfortably in my ears. I am looking forward to the trip with these headphones!
