I bought these headphones due to alot of travel at work. These are by far the best sounding headphones I have ever owned and block out 99.9% of all the sound with music or something playing. Make sure to pick these headphones up if you travel a lot or are just looking for a great pair of noise cancelling headphones.

I purchased my first set of Bose noise canceling headphones at the Chicago airport between connecting flights way back in 2000... nothing wrong with them, but when I saw this version in white and gold I felt like it was a great excuse for an update. The case is now much more compact, and the ear cushions - I guess you could call them that - seem to be a good size and softness that I'm hopeful they will be comfortable to fall asleep in when traveling trans-Atlantic.

I got these as a gift for Christmas. I put a battery in, one aaa battery, and put them on. The noise canceling is a weird experience. They don't eliminate all noises, but they kill that steady, constant background noise that you probably don't even realize is there. The magic comes on when you plug in your music though. To switch back and forth between the noise canceling and normal is pretty amazing. The volume level is not needed as it is with normal headphones either. Superb.

Very comfortable and great for listening to music or making plane trips quiet.

I work in an office where sometimes people forget to use their outside voices. Sometimes I cannot have this noise distract me when I'm concentrating on my task. The noise cancelling feature is amazing. All of the voices become a low dull muffled sound. The noise from the HVAC system is totally drowned out. And I am able to hear my music play through them. Since I'm usually plugged in to my iPhone I won't miss a call since I can answer them with these headphones.

We purchaesd two, one for Samsung/Android and one for iOS for a 16-hour overseas plane trip, and they were amazing. We used them for the movie, for audible, and for sleeping. They drowned out the roaring of the plane engine. The quality of the sound that came through was amazing. With other headsets, the sound coming through made my ears vibrate. With the Bose, the sound was clear and easy on the ears. I highly recommend paying the extra money for the Bose.

These are spectacular. Reduction is significant over others I tried and owned. Comfortable, quality listening.

I originally purchased these headphones for an upcoming flight to try out the noise cancelling feature compared to my Beats Executive Headphones. I found that the noise cancelling feature and overall sound quality of the Bose to be very good. There was a clear and noticeable difference between the two, in favor of the Bose. If you are looking for a very good set of headphones with very good noise cancelling, choose Bose. There is a difference to be heard.

They look great, they feel great, and they sound great. Wish I could get them a tiny bit louder, but because the sound quality is so high, I didn't want to ding them by giving 4 stars. The noise cancelling is amazing, was listening to music last night on them while my roommate was having a full conversation on the phone right next to me, and couldn't hear a thing from him.

These head phones are really nice. I really like how they are noise cancelling and have nice sound. It sucks how they are not Bluetooth. Being $300 they should have both the Bluetooth feature and the wired feature.

These headphones are great! The sound is awesome and then sound masking works nicely! They are very comfortable!

Purchased these as a gift, since I have owned them for two years now. With the sale price, couldn't be happier! These are great headphones, even without the noise canceling feature activated. In fact, I rarely have to use the noise canceling during travel on a train or plane. In addition to music, I have also used these for gaming without any issues. The included carrying case is perfect and takes up minimal space.

These are very comfortable to wear. They provide great noise canceling. These are expensive but worth the cost.

I was contemplating on buying this for a while. Black Friday came and the price when down a lot and I snagged one. The noise canceling is absolutely amazing. Literally like you are underwater. I can't explain it but it completely drowns out the subway and train noise. I just wished I bought this earlier. Even if it's not on sale, if you commute or use mass transit, it's worth every penny to have this in your life.

Worth the price. Noise cancellation is excellent and the sound quality is superb. The only thing that would make these headphones better is if they were wireless. Also, very light and comfortable.
