I game on PC, so I have no idea how well they work or don’t work for the plastic boxes. I’ve owned the non gaming version of these for awhile and they’re incredible. The gaming version has a little to be desired. PROS: Comfort, I can wear these for hours. Size, outstanding small design, compared to other gaming headsets. Weight, the lightest pair I’ve ever used. Sound quality, nobody does mids and highs like Bose. Quality, solid build and durable. Based on my use of the non gaming version. Connectivity, no defects noted. Sound module included, works as advertised. Mic monitor, perfect, three different levels is nice. Noise cancelling, no complaints, Bose isn’t the best at it but it works great. Battery life, I always get a good 8-10 hours out of it. Charging time, fast charge no issues there. Day to day use, perfect for on the go use, mobile phone, portable gaming devices and so on. Carrying case, top quality. Microphone, probably the best quality I’ve ever used. CONS: Not USB C... it’s almost 2021 Bose. Seriously. Bluetooth connectivity on PC is not great. No built in EQ control. The headset cord is way too short. Mute button on cord is cheaply made. It’s just a QC with a mic boom and a sound controller, which isn’t bad but it’s not a new standalone gaming headset. That’s about it. I’ve owned Astro A50’s, Corsair headset’s, turtle beach’s. They got some work to do for the future, but you won’t hate them but you might not love them neither. There’s way not things I like than dislike, so you be the judge. Never had a problem with quality but I’d always recommend buying the protection plan, it’s worth it.

    Good for video conferencing.

I've had these headphones for a few weeks now and am pretty happy with them. I mostly use them for video conferencing, so having a comfortable headset with good quality audio and microphone are very important. I sometimes stream audio as well. Initially I was a bit disappointed in the comfort as I thought they squeezed my head a bit too much. Also, the pads are not quite as soft as some Sony headsets that I have tried. But, over the past few weeks I have found them to be more comfortable overall - maybe they aren't squeezing my head quite as much. My previous on-ear headsets would often give me a headache after wearing them for too long, but that has not been an issue so far. I considered getting the QC35 II (non-gaming), but wasn't sure that the microphone quality would be good enough for video conferencing. It turns out that it is, but lacks a button on the headset to mute yourself. The gaming edition comes with a USB control station that lets you control the volume and amount of microphone audio that gets sent back to the headset (so you can hear yourself talk). The Bluetooth connection is generally good, and can handle being paired to two devices at the same time (though it only gets sound from one at a time). For example, I can have the device paired to both my laptop and cell phone. The sound from my laptop will normally come through the headsets, but if a call comes in, the headsets will automatically switch to my cell phone so I can answer. The automatic switching isn't perfect - if I'm streaming music from my phone and an email comes through, the headsets will switch back to the computer. The iOS app is actually useful as you can use it to easily disconnect (temporarily) the headsets from one device. I'll use this if I know I only want to hear sound from my phone and not laptop for a period of time. The app also allows you to control the function of one of the buttons on the headsets as well. The button can either be used for a voice assistant such as Alexa or Google Voice, or to control the amount of noise cancelling). As expected, the ANC (active noise cancelling) is very good. It works best with constant sounds, such as fans. Other sounds, such as talking are definitely muted, but it doesn't completely block them out. ANC does take a little getting used to if you've never had it on a pair of headphones before, but can also be turned off if desired. The boom mic works well, and has ANC as well. This does lead to your voice sounding a bit strange to others as the background noise typically heard is reduced. But, I've never had an issue with someone not being able to hear / understand me. There is also a slide switch on the cable that allows you to mute, which is very nice for conferencing. The boom mic only plugs in only on the left side of the headsets, and can't be flipped to be on the right side. There is a plastic clip with the plug that prevents you from putting the mic on backwards (so you can't have it on the right side). This is not an issue for me, just pointing it out in case you are used to having a microphone on the right side. Note that when the boom mic is plugged in, Bluetooth is disabled. Unplugging the cable is simple, and the device connects quickly to my phone, so switching is pretty easy when necessary. Battery life is important for Bluetooth & ANC, but power is not required to use a cabled connection to a device. Using the headsets powered for several hours during a day rarely causes the battery to drop 20 - 30 percent. Overall, I would recommend these headphones. The added price for the boom mic seems a bit excessive, but may be worth it for those who spend a lot of time talking.

My wife and I are working remote in our RV. We sit in the same room about 6 feet away from each other. We tried othe producrs to reduce or elimimate cross talk between calls without success. We bought 2 sets of the bose gamer headsets and couldn't be more pleased. The noise cancelling mics barely pick up my wife's voice while I am on a conference call. While I'm talking people do not hear her. When I'm not talking they do hear her voice slightly but tue mute switch is handy enough to toggle on and off. The battery life is good. It lasts all week with moderate use. I do about 4 hours of conferences a day. The headphones are also noise cancelling like the typical bose headphones. This is nice to drown out my wife even of I'm not on a call. ;) Be aware that to use the noise cancelling mic it mudt be connected via cord to the system you are talkimg into. This disables the bluetooth so you can't listen to bluetooth audio while the mic is connecred. They do work without the detachable mic for doing phone calls but the built in mic is not noise cancelling. So... connected to pc or gaming system via cable... great noise cancelling mic and noise cancelling headphones. Detachable mic removed... great bluetooth noise cancelling headphones with non-noise cancelling built in mic.

I absolutely love these headphones! It's my favorite brand. The sound quality is top-notch. It's crucial for me that the headphones don't press on my ears. I can listen to music all day, and I don't get tired of them! Excellent build quality, beautiful design, and great noise cancellation. I adore taking these headphones with me on flights. Even if there's a crying child nearby, I simply don't hear it!

Performance isnt too bad, compared to other top of the line Gaming headsets at its price point would say its a bit on the pricy side, however the fact you can also use it as travel and on the go sound cancelation headset is where this product sells, but have had a few issues with power when using on console, where it requires me to plug in and unplug a micro usb for it to power on, even when plugged into controller which should power it. Give it a 4 star because it is definitely comfortable, and enjoy the fact i can use it for travel. but cant give it 5 star because of the price and complications ive had.

Not just every ordinary 5 star review. They are very light for a gaming headset. My ears fit comfortably for wearing all day. So I game alot, and I have several headsets, and soo far boss gaming headsets are my favorite. All my buddies tell me the mic quality is very very nice when talking to them through discord. Mic removes easily and its an easy Bluetooth set up on my phone with a bose app then the headphones works as a regular bose headphones. In gaming mode the mic plugs into a volume control device that has a USB that hooks into your computer. Very easy to use. Oo best part is the noise concealing technology in it. Its soo nice to only hear my game and hardly any other noises outside my room. 10/10 for me

    Extensive 1 month Review

I personally love this headset. I wasn’t so sure I made a good purchase as I gave them an extensive month to write this review, but I am happy I purchased this pair. To start off, I had a PS4. I wasn’t happy that I couldn’t change my voice settings or lower party chat and up the volume on in game to hear foot steps or such. But the default volume worked super well and I absolutely had no issues. Then came the PS5. Which actually allows you to adjust both those party chat and in game volume so it essentially fixed my issue. And when I game it’s usually for 7-8 hours a night and battery level is top notch. When I come back to play the next day or so and turn these headphones back on it tells you battery percentage and for me it will say “battery 90%.” Oh and the fact that it also has a dual purpose of being the best noise cancelling headphones for music and gaming is awesome! Love that I can just remove the boom mic and listen to music too. The only downfall I have on this is while you are hooked up to your gaming controller you can’t listen to videos on your phone in between lobbies. You have to take an ear cup off if you want to hear something on your phone. But it’s not a deal breaker for me as most gaming headsets won’t let you do that anyways. But all in all this is a great purchase. If you plan on staying with the PS4 or Xbox 1 (I think that’s the gen before the series x) it won’t have an adjustable volume for gameplay. But if you plan on upgrading, at least I know the PS5 you can adjust your volumes, I cannot say the same for Xbox as I don’t have one nor do I PC game.

While they're extremely comfortable and reduce outside noise significantly compared to other headphones they're not for FPS games. While I could hear people creep up from afar I couldn't hear certain footsteps and movements nearby. That being said they do not claim to be surround sound.. either way I wouldn't get these for gaming. The volume isn't the loudest to me either but that's just me. I'll stick to my SteelSeries Artis Pro for now. As for the price point I would pay 150-200 for these.. not 300+ I did have high expectations them being Bose and all.

    Balanced sound

Firstly, headphones/headset and 'quality of sound' are all pretty subjective so always try out a gaming headset before purchasing. If you are looking at this headset, then you probably already know that you want these. If you love that Bose sound and want to apply it to your gaming set up...then you already know that you just need to get these. Bose has a particular balanced sound that you just cant replicate and its easy to get hooked on that specific 'Bose' sound. Now; excellent Bose sound quality aside, there are two reasons that I bought this headset. 1.) Active noise cancelling. Yes, the ANC one this headset is now a few years old. Doesnt matter, its great and Bose is one of the best in the industry when it comes to ANC. 2.) Clarity of sound. Sure there are more dynamic headphones out there (Astro A50s, Corsair RGB XT) but, those headphones that have 7.1 surround or Dolby Atmos do have a tendency to get distorted. For games like Call of Duty; I will probably use my Astros or Corsairs; when youre playing an action heavy game like that you want that dynamic surround sound. However, for more story driven games (like Elden Ring) where there is a lot of lore or dialogue, you want something with more clarity and balanced sound which is where these excel. Unplug the mic wire and you also have an excellent pair of bluetooth headphones. It also comes with a semi-hard shell traveling case if you want to bring them on your commute or listen in the office. The versatility is just awesome! I think the biggest downside is the price; yeah they are expensive. But if you can get them on sale then you have both a great gaming headset and a great pair of headphones. Personally these are my favorite ones to use and are now my go to for 90% of my gaming/music needs.

So like others have said, these are pre-existing headphones with a mic attached and an addition of a desktop volume controller using USB for its attachment. Generally, I much prefer the sound that comes out of a dedicated sound card to anything USB as I have found that, for the most part, USB emulation can disappoint...to my ears, at least. That said, I have no regrets whatsoever getting this headset. It didn't hurt that Best Buy sweetened the deal by knocking the price down to $259 for about a week and if you can hold out for that sale price again (which happens every once in a while), pull the trigger at that point. You will not be disappointed. At all. The volume knob also has a separate button that allows you to hear your own voice if you want to (three levels of self-hearing), or you can mute your voice if you don't want to hear yourself at all. This doesn't create the sensation of feedback like you might get on a phone call or a Teams meeting, just a subtle self-voice saying that, yes, your mic is working. The noise canceling certainly doesn't hurt, and enhances the sound when turned on (though you don't HAVE to have it turned on in order for it to work). The mic is great quality. The comfort level is great. The sounds that come through for games is great. Music is amazing. The only thing I would put a con on is the uneven length of the cords...the USB connector is more than long enough to reach any USB port you need, but the cord going from the volume knob to the headset could have been lengthened somewhat, as sometimes I feel like I'm pulling the knob around if I move around too much. As Tom's Hardware might say...just buy it. But wait until a sale. I doubt these would disappoint you.

First let me say I am not a gamer, but i love listening to music. My job requires me to wear a headset everyday at work. I needed a headset that would be light weight, comfortable to wear all day and have great sound. These headphones checked all the boxes. No more sore ears, no more sore tired neck. They are so comfortable that I have unhooked the mic and used the headset to listen to music while I am on break.

They're pretty expensive but after using them compared to a lot of other gaming headsets, they are premium quality. Sound is great. Noise cancelling is wonderful for blocking out a lot of unwanted children and other background noise and they are comfy and versatile. I can use them for my cell phones or my PC. good battery life. quick charging time. If you're tired of cheap headsets this is what you want.

QC 35 gaming headset my favorite headset for everyday remote work and travel. I loved the comfort, sound, and noise canceling, and ease of pairing. The ability to have it connected to two devices was awesome. I could be on my laptop/ watch a movie with them and take a call when they came in. My wife loved them so much she got a pair for her self. My dislikes was one of the speakers would make a squeeking sound when you put any preshure on them say like leaning your head on a couch to watch tv at an angle. Also had isues with one of the cusions falling off while adjusting the headset, I think I may have gotten a bad cusion because it never happened with my wifes set.

I picked this headset up a few days ago and I am thoroughly satisfied with my choice. I tried them out on my phone first, pairing them easily with the app and my music sounded excellent, not only that but the active noise cancellation is phenomenal. I then hooked them up to my PC which was extremely simple, the large dial to control the volume is nice but the button to control the side channel is even better. A lot of the headsets I have tried didnt have a variable side channel so this was a welcomed addition. My friends whom I chat with online all noticed immediately that I sounded much clearer then previous headsets used and I have not gotten any remarks about background noise from them. As for comfort, I game for a couple hours at a time not terribly long but this headset is very comfortable, no hotspots, earcups don't even bother my glasses. If you have the money or are just looking to buy a dual use headset/headphone then these are an excellent choice.

I own quite a few wireless headphones (along with a few wired headphones as well, like the A-20 Aviation headset). Because of the Bose superior noise canceling technology and minimal latency, the QC series stands head-and-shoulders above the rest. It really makes those long flights a manageable affair.

I have LOVED my headset so far. The good: It fits perfectly, has soft ear pads, the sound quality is AMAZING, and the battery life is great. The bad: the cord is a tiny bit small from the pod to the headset. Just a little. The set up procedure through Bose was a little odd... but great once I got it all down.
