The active nose cancelling is amazing. Almost complete silence when wearing with no music playing. Allows for fantastic fidelity of quiet passages. Active pairing to multiple devices simultaneously makes it easy to catch phone calls in the middle of the day while being connected to my laptop and listening to music. Great for listening to Home Theatre movies or console video games at night while everyone else is sleeping. :) A solid performing product even if a little pricey. Worth it if you can afford it!

    A true next-gen successor to the QC15?

Unfortunately, the QC35 falls short on a few sections that I will highlight below based on my ownership of the Bose OE (1st and 2nd gen), QC15, and QC 20. Sound Quality: 3 The sound from the QC35 was nice (a lot better than the QC25 but still not as great as the QC15). Why? For some reason, the Bose sound engineers seem to have this perception that more bass at the cost of mids and treble is better. These new “algorithms” will work fine for someone whose musical preferences involve lots of bass-heavy music but if you prefer “balanced” musical categories such as those with an emphasis on vocals and acoustic instrumentation, you should look elsewhere. The treble and midrange is okay but nothing compared to the QC15 where there is a right balance without such an emphasis on bass. Yes, this is both a blessing but a curse at the same time due to an inability to hear any distinction in the clarity and no “crispness” of vocals and higher-pitched instrumentation (e.g. acoustic or electric guitars, mandolin, ukulele, etc.). Finally, there is a difference in sound quality when you are using Bluetooth (aka "Wireless Mode") versus the included backup audio cable (aka "Wired Mode") due to the compression of sound. Comfort: 5 This is self-explanatory but these are just as comfortable as the QC15s. Durability: 0 Why? These were released on June 5, 2016 and I purchased these at my local Best Buy store on June 6, 2016. I arrived home and eagerly opened them to charge them up (per the instructions). Later in the evening, I attempted to turn them on and noticed that nothing worked. What? I made sure I used the correct USB/AC Adapter (I used a Bose adapter I acquired about 3 years ago) and I saw the battery light indicator showed a solid red light and would disappear after twenty seconds. The next day, after several more attempts and same battery light results, I called Bose Tech Support and they were dumbfounded when I informed them of the situation. I was the one that suggested that I would take them to my local Bose store at Woodburn, Oregon to see if a customer service representative could troubleshoot them for me. I drove 45 minutes later to the store and the store employee (Thanks Rachel!) plugged them into the USB cable at her workstation and she got the same result. Since I had purchased the “Geek Squad” warranty but the BB receipt didn’t show the serial numbers for this set of QC35s, She gave me a brand new pair and a store receipt proving the exchange. The store employee and I attributed the dead-on-arrival battery as a fluke. Fast forward three weeks later and the new set of QC35s were stalling by having the green battery indicator light and the yellow Bluetooth light still running after I would turn the power switch off. I once again called Bose Tech Support and they were unable to troubleshoot or instruct me how to remove the internal battery. The best they could offer me was to send the QC35s back to them for service. I needed a solution right there and then. So I plugged the USB cable and just like that, the lights went away. This leads me to believe that the internal Lithium battery was not properly tested for long-term use and the main reason why I returned this new pair of QC35s and will no longer purchase any future versions of QC headphones until they go back to the AAA battery as a power source. Ease of Use: 2 These are very easy to use and the only reason I gave a two is because the user is unable to manually adjust the playback and volume of the QC35s while using in wired mode. These controls only work while in wireless mode. This is a small oversight but important nonetheless as the QC20s allow you to control the playback and volume of your device even if the noise cancellation is not activated. Appearance/Design: 5 These are essentially the all-black color scheme of the “limited edition” QC25s that were released during Fall 2015. Noise Cancellation: 5 This is the only component of the QC35s that exceed the NC capabilities of the QC15s. I used these next to a loud air conditioner and could not hear any external noise. However, given the unreliability and questionable durability of the internal battery, I can foresee users reporting less usage per power charge than the reported 20 hours (wireless mode) / 40 hours (wired mode). Overall, as a Bose customer for 10+ years, I have enjoyed many of their exceptional products. However, these quality control issues I experienced with this latest version of the industry-leading QC headphones has seriously shaken my faith in Bose products. I wholeheartedly believe that Bose sound engineers should get more customer feedback (focus groups?) before they make substantial changes (AAA battery vs. internal lithium battery) to their latest QC products. As a company that prides itself in being a pioneer in acoustic research, it would behoove them to get advice from users that can provide intuitive and insightful views.

The main reason I went with thsee hearphones was because most bother my head after extended use. These never leave me feeling with that feeling of my head being squeezed. The sound quality is really nice while the nice canceling is on but still usable with it off. The wireless is super convienient but having the wire to double to battery life is nice too. After using these on a long plane ride and not just daily life I was actually shocked at how well they got rid of the ambiance noise. I will never fly again without these.

I am one of those people who does a lot of research before purchasing an item. I had my heart set on Beats for a few months and came across these headphones in the latter end of my search after speaking to a few best buy employees. The durability and sound quality of these seemed to be far superior of the Beats and after using these for a few weeks I totally agree. I purchased them for a long haul 17 hour flight and was not disappointed. The noise cancelling feature worked so well that I had to take them off to understand what was said from the person sitting next to me. It even drowned out the noises of the plane engines. The sound was incredible with and without the noise cancelling feature. The investment in these headphones is 100% worth it!

A few years ago I bought the lesser expensive Bose over-the-ear headphones. They are great, but I was ready to step it up a notch. After comparing the comparable Beats product, as well as the reviews, I decided to stick with Bose. I also decided to step it up to the QC35s instead of the Bose over-the-ear in the mid $200. I am extremely happy with this decision and also really appreciated the noise cancelling feature on a recent airplane trip. The multiple Bluetooth connections is great and the battery life is excellent.

I've been using these headphones for the better part of a month so far, and they're wonderful. The noise cancelling is very effective (haven't taken any flights yet, but I'm confident), the battery definitely lives up to its 20 hour reputation, and they're extremely comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. The audio quality is very good for Bluetooth, and I've only ever experienced delay from a third party Bluetooth adapter installed in my desktop PC. Overall they're a great buy, even at their high price.

These headphones are amazing !! Some of the best I've ever tried on the market. Fantastic noise cancelation. Though keep in mind, with these kind of noise canceling headphones , it does give you the "airplane " feel. They are comfortable to wear over the ear and adjust really well. Bose headphones also gold a great charge. Personally I am able to use them for about 2 weeks off and on before I have to charge them. (Though I do only use them on special occassion) they are COMPLETELY worth every penny.

Legendary Bose noise cancelling plus the convenience of Bluetooth and microUSB charging, can you say perfection? I've owned QC2, QC15, and was planning on getting the QC25 but decided to drag my feet. I've also owned the AroundEar soundlink headphones and loved the convenience of wireless. Wireless is a huge game changer. Nevermore do I have a wire getting in my way. Nevermore do I have a wire getting caught on the door. Now, I can have it all. This is the Bose headphone I've been waiting a long long time for.

After signifact research and listening my choice was the new Bose QuiteComfort 35 Noise Canceling Wireless Headpones. While a bit pricey, the noise cancellation is quite good and the sound and comfort are excellent. The battery life is exceptional and the wireless Bluetooth functionality is very convenient for traveling and working in airports and in the office. Bluetooth phone calling is also very convenient and clear. Almost wish I had chosen the silver option though. Well done Bose!

I initially purchased the QC25 and was disappointed because I really over the ear Wireless headphones. Fortunately, a week later Bose released the QC35 and I was able to order the new unit via BestBuy.com. All that being said, I'm very... Very pleased. Having the Bluetooth capability gives me lots of options and freedom. And, when the battery runs out, you can plug it in. The build quality is great. The ear cushions are super soft and after wearing the headset for hours, my neck does not feel fatigued.

These by far are the best headphones I have ever purchased. They work great for noice canceling. I use them while at a noisy place when I need to study or just listen to music. They work great, and cancel out a great deal of noise. They are pricy, but you get what you pay for. I would purchase these again if anything ever happened to them. The case protects them well. The battery will last weeks. I like the status indicator that lets me know how much battery is left. I also like as I paid them it tells me what the charge remaining is. I can pair them with two different devices at the same time. Like I mentioned I use them while I study, and I will use them on my macbook and iPhone, and I don't have to tell them to switch between both. As I play on one the other will pause. The sound is great. You will get a wide range of sounds for all music genres. Great product.

These headphones give excellent sound quality. Less bass and more of a true music sound. I travel often and when I use them on the plane I don't hear any outside noise. The cushions on the ear parts are very comfortable. I could wear them all day. They are great for use while talking on the phone as well. It takes no time to charge and the battery holds for up to 20 hours as advertised. If you are thinking about this purchase, it may just be the best buy from Best Buy. It certainly was for me!

After trying the Beats and the new Sony 1000X (both returned) these are hands down better. Better sound, better fitting, more comfortable, better noise canceling. However keep in mind that the sound is overproduced but less so than the alternatives in the wireless noise canceling arena. Didn't want to succumb to Bose but here I am singing their praises and that hurts just a little bit.

Tried about 6 different head phones and these were the only ones that had great sound, non artificial bass and a super anti noise limit feature. you put on the headphone and hear the basic background noises. you click on the headphone, a voice tells you the amount of battery power left, and then it goes click and total quiet. when you input the audio you only hear the input audio. outstanding unit

I had the previous version of these headphone, so when these came out, I thought I didn't need to upgrade. But I lost my old ones in a move, so I was forced to buy a new set, nonetheless these are 10 x better than any other headphones I've owned. And I've had all types of brands. They have the noise canceling feature, it's battery life is amazing, it has rechargeable batteries, it can fun on a 3.5 cable when the battery is out, they are comfortable, and of course they sound amazing.

Complete quiet. I travel for work including being in high noise industrial areas. I use the noise canceling feature without music for ear protection. But also, when flying best sound quality and comfort of wear; no wires also means no restrictions of movement. Very satisfied with the use of these headphones. My one slight issue is that I would love to be able to utilize the headphone / mic pick up for my XBox One as well. Thus providing excellent headphones with a gaming environment as well.
