These Bose noise canceling earbuds are what you have come to expect from Bose…Excellence!!! I was on a plane for 4 hours and couldn’t hear the engines, babies crying, or people talking! (If only Bose could create something to prevent kids from kicking your seat I’d buy that too!)
These earbuds fit perfectly too.

I thought I had lost my 1st edition of these so I decided to buy the 2nd edition until I could find them. Good thing there was a sale to get them for $200. Spent about 2 weeks testing both off and on until I came to a final decision. I'm a DJ on the side and sound is very important to the experiences I have.
Pros:
Significantly smaller case makes it easier to carry in your pocket.
Buds are about 20% smaller which means they don't protrude out of your ears as excessively.
Cons:
Smaller doesn't always mean better, some sound quality is sacrificed in lieu of size.
The mids and treble are too bright, especially treble, which actually takes away from the sound experience, making the highs sound too distorted even after tweaking the EQ in several ways.
Bass doesn't punch as well as the prior model.
Doesn't have the back arch so while they still feel secure in my ears, the immersion is also not quite as solid.
Final verdict:
Not worth getting at full price and barely worth their sale value of $200.
After testing several different styles of electronic genres, especially dark electro with lots of bass elements, industrial, cyberpunk, EBM/EBSM, even metalcore/post hardcore, post punk, and other rock & metal genres, the overall experience leaves you wanting.
Might be better off trying the Ultra edition but I don't see value in that $300 price tag so I'm sticking with ole reliable for my day-to-day sound enjoyment.

Honestly the soundcore buds were better than these. Both in connection and sound. Ambient and noise cancelation are great but everything else is subpar. Left earbud always has connection issue and you have have to keep putting earbuds back in the case then take them out to reconnect. Turn off and on bluetooth a lit too because they won't always connect. Took an insane amount of time after realease to even have individual connection and it sucks. Definitely not worth the 300 price tag, maybe closer to 200.

The sound is great and they are comfortable. My only complaint is the “aware” mode automatically suppresses ambient sound thus activates noise cancelling to prevent unwanted noise, however, for lack of a better term… this is disorienting to me. It’s like having noise cancelling activated and deactivated constantly. The Airpod Pros (2nd Gen) have this same feature but you can disable it so “aware” or “transparency” mode is activated without this annoying feature. Just my 2 cents! I went with Apple.

I keep having the same issue where it shiws the headphone are conextes to my iphone but not sound comes from the headphone. I check the updates on headphones and theyre up to dote. I tried resetting the phone and nothing. This issue keeps happening too often, i had me series I in ears for 4 years and this didn’t happen even once. Upgrading to these series II was the worst decision. If you have the original series of the In Ears DO NOT upgrade to these.

I have been using Samsung ear buds and was always complaining about noise cancelling feature. But when I saw that Bose is releasing Quiet comfort earbuds II with Noise Cancelling feature - I jumped onto the opportunity and have been using this for a while now. Have been completely satisfied with the fit and Noise Cancelling feature especially.

The sound is probably one of the best there is in terms of in-ear noise cancelling headset. I’ve owned quite a few Bose products and lately there have been some quality control issues in some headphones, one of them being mine where after 1.5 months of owning a pair, the right ear piece died out on me. The noise cancelling works on both ears just fine, but the music is only played at the full frequency at the left and as if it’s muffled at the right piece. The battery life is about the same as all other in ears, and the connectivity is alright, but not AirPods Pro level if you have the iPhone. Overall, very good headphones, just bad quality control.

This is the BEST Noise Canceling Earbuds in my opinion. I knew the sound would be fantastic and it is. I'm in NYC and walk along the Westside Highway and am able to block out cars, trucks, high winds and conversations. However, before pulling the trigger and buying this, the FIT worried me A LOT. I was able to customize a great secure fit. Thank you Bose. Note: I have never been able to wear any earbud as they all would fall out of my ears when I'm sitting still. For those reviews complaining about hissing or using the earbuds independently, please download the Bose app and update the firmware. You'll be pleasantly pleased because I nwver heard any hissing and I CAN use my earbuds independently and charge them independently also. The voice call quality is great for me but those calling me hear a ton of noise around me. If you are (like me) wanting a great noise canceling headset to drown out the world ... don't hesitate getting this. If you have to be on calls then Plantronics Voyager is hands down the best for calls.

Here is my thoughts, definitely worth buying for bose signature sound quality and top notch active noice cancellation,
Love the new small factor design Combo ear tips fits-compare to its predecessor,
The only reasons for for this two reason: hope Bose will fix that
At this price point I am shocked that this headphone can’b be used standalone as only left or right ( the right has be out for that)
This is insane
Secondly, No option to shut off ANC and external sound all the way in app.
Hope bose will fix those, other than that this are prefect in all aspects

I love Bose. I have purchased practically all of their top-of-the-line noise cancelling devices over the years and have been quite satisfied. That includes the first edition of these buds. I love them, but, what the heck--why not try an upgrade--the Quiet Comfort Earbuds ii? They're smaller and offer a few perks. So that's what I did. Out of the box, first time in my ears I noticed a hissing, not quite white noise in the background. I'm a musician and I do a lot of work with headphones and high-end monitors. Any kind of uninvited noise is distracting. So I went online then read the manual. Bose states (paraphrasing here) that a low, background noise is normal and should not interfere with enjoyment." The thing is, the literature for the Bose Earbuds 1 I was replacing did not include this disclaimer. And for good reason--there is no back/hiss the first edition of these buds. So, I packed them up, took them back to Best Buy and, fearing the Quiet Comfort Earbuds 1 would be discontinued, purchased another set of those in case something happens to the set I already have and use. I've been meaning to write this review for some time. Finally got around to it. I HIGHLY recommend Bose, but NOT this product.

Hello Bill, I am glad that you enjoy our products, especially our headphones. The hissing noise you are referring to is commonly known as "Noise Floor", This is normal operation for this type of audio equipment and should only be heard in quiet environments when the power is turned on and no other audio source is playing.
For other, noise related concerns, please check out this article for more information and troubleshooting suggestions: https://bose.life/3x1ejug.

Clear sound for virtual meetings and music. Battery life was not a problem. Bluetooth connectivity is easy and requires carrying case button engagement to make initial setup.
