Best in Its Class
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me first acknowledge that a lot of reviewers mention these don’t feel as premium as its competitors. And honestly I can’t argue with them on that. But I don’t necessarily feel like they feel cheap. And after coming from very premium feeling B&W headphones, I do really appreciate how light these feel as a result of not using more premium metal and other heavier materials. In terms of sound quality, it’s right on par with the Sony and AirPods Max (both of which I have owned). And the noise canceling is also on par (I would say a bit better than the AirPods Max, but just shy of the Sony). The only reason I dinged a star is because it lacks a feature the Sony does have. It can connect to two devices simultaneously. But you can’t turn that off (i.e. you can’t set it so it can only be connected to one device at any time). This is annoying because I know it does degrade the quality of the bluetooth connection. But mainly because of times where I am using them on a call, open my laptop, and it will connect to my laptop but I won’t be able to hear my call. Overall, I do think if you want to go with anything better, you do need to shell out $200+ more. I would say the Sony are a good alternative, and they are. But I find these far more comfortable, especially if you wear them for any more than 2 hours at a time.

Hands down best overall Noise canceling headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had several headphones including the Sony XM4, beats, and Sennheiser. So far this has topped my expectations and I love the new design Bose went with. I’ve previously tried the Quietcomforts but if you’re someone who wants to be encapsulated by what they’re listening to, definitely go with the Ultras. I love using the immersive audio mode to really tune out the world. Not to mention, I’d say the Ultras have one of, if not the best noise cancellation that doesn’t leave me with a headache afterwards. I also appreciate that I can customize the level of noise cancellation on top of the usual EQ. I’ve gone on long flights with this and it has great battery life. I’ve charged it 2x so far since purchasing it in May, and I use this daily at work, home and the gym. One last thing to note is that if you’re someone who goes to the gym and is looking for really great headphones to help you focus on your sets, this is the one. The new design also makes the fit so much better where I can confidently do my reps without having to worry about my headphones falling off my head. And for the runners, I’ve had no problems running with these either.

Just Wow!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra wireless noise cancelling headphones in white are just wow! Where to begin? I just got them and couldn't wait, I had to immediately set them up. One comment on the color, it isn't really white but rather a grayish version of white, if you can envision that. They come inside an accessory bag, in the same color, placed on the right side when opening that bag, and a pocket on the left side with your charging cable and plug in cable for times that you cannot use wireleslly. Let's get to the good stuff. I downloaded the Bose app from the Google Store since I have an android phone. The setup was quick and seamless to my phone which is the device that I started with. However, they are made for Apple, but will work with android. You can even create yourcuser name for Bluetooth linking listed in the Bluetooth options and I have never seen that before. Basically, all the controls are on the right side and R&L ears are clearly labeled. One cool thing these have is that rather than turn them off after each use, you can just take them off and they will go to sleep, saving battery, until the next engagement. By the way, the on/off button is also on the right ear and is the Bluetooth small button below the larger control button.Even the loudness is controlled with either a slide up or down slide on the right ear vs. a button. So, these are really noise cancelling when you engage in the immersive sound option. You can either use the immersive feature in "still", and turning your head adjusts the direction of the sound, or you can engage "move," that allows you to change with movement. My teenage years were in the 70s and playing disco in the immersive mode was glorious and wonderfully energetic-Donna Summers never sounded better. This one is a go. ⁶

Worth it If you wear headphones a lot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My last pair of Bose quiet comfort headphones lasted ten years with near constant use before they stopped being able to hold a charge reliably. I was going to buy the same model but tried these on in the store and fell in love with how they feel. IMHO these are worth the extra $$ for the exceptional comfort and the auto pause feature when you take the headphones off or move them off your ear to talk to someone for a second. Love the touch volume control. I can even sleep in them without issue. Sound quality and noise cancellation is excellent. Only negative it's they take forever to charge

Worth upgrading for
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose is a leader in active noise cancelling and have been around for a few decades, I've been using Quiet Comfort products for a long time and they never stop impress me! QuietComfort Ultra replaced my old QC35 pair of headphones and it's totally worth the upgrade! Great build quality and new Bluetooth standard support with longer wireless range, USB-C charging and of course excellent noise cancelling performance. Headphones are controlled just by 2 buttons and touch sensitive volume control slider on the right ear cup (sliding power switch that my QC35 used to have is gone and I actually kinda miss the ability to tell the power state just by looking at the switch position). Controls are smooth and voice annunciations are now brief, Bose Music phone app is available to look at the settings visually. QC Ultra introduced a brand new Immersive Audio feature - it expands sound stage so instead of hearing music "in the center of your head" you can actually make it feel like you are in front of the sound stage (and it either stays that direction when you move or stage can move with you making it feel like you are listening to the speakers in the room, not headphones). Noise cancelling performance is actually very good for the size and weight of the headphones (I'm comparing to professional aviation Bose A20 set) - air conditioning noise, fans, street noise just goes away. Bose products do last a very long time and you can actually buy a replacement ear cushion set when they wear out. I would definitely recommend this headset, it will serve you well for many years.

Hear This!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Connect to LG tv was EZ and often auto reconnects. Extremely pleased with this so Pop can snooze …I watch movies. Excellent to connect with my Surface Computer when I’m needing privacy. Meeting/class setting. Listen to audiobooks often…. This headset is soft around the ears. The pad on top seems to be right for me. I do have to adjust it if I have been working for l hours. Which leads to the next point. This headset has a good charge life. At least so far this one has done incredible. (I have been using earbuds… which of course cannot last but very pleased. Though all those uses are wonderful and the ability to keep the world out is fabulous you will definitely want to put your favorite music on sit back and feel the sound. Overall I’m pleased with performance, connectivity, sound, comfort, and appearance. By the way I’m a grandma too if that makes any difference.

Awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think Bose beats so many other competitors in so many ways. I’ve had Bose for a few years now and upgrade to these new ones and they didn’t miss. I love how comfortable they are despite wearing them for long study hours. The different using modes include quiet, immersion which is full noise cancellation. You can customize settings from their app. Love the quality and sound.

Fantastic noise cancelling and comfort.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outstanding sound signature, enjoyable for hours and doesn't cause fatigue 10 out of 10. Noise cancelling is indeed marvelous, blocks all kinds of noises, even the most intrusive ones that still make through sound very distant, some light music completely masks them. Controls are not that intuitive, especially compared to AirPods Max. Long press to switch to transparency for example becomes painful if you need to talk to team members Comfort is top notch - very light, spacious and comfortable. Lowest sound level is still too loud to work to on iPhone. Still kept them. They let me do deep focus work on a computer, where I can lower the sound even more through the media app. These headphones are excellent for long focus sessions and are a great companion to AirPods Max. Bluetooth sometimes stumbles or cuts out. The strong sides still make it worth having.

Happy upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Prior to purchasing these headphones, I owned corded on-the-ear Bose noise cancelling headphones purchased 15+ years ago. The new headphones are very light, offer both corded and wireless connectivity options, have three different operating modes, and they hold their battery charge for the length of my upcoming trip to Australia (~23hours)--quite an improvement over my older headphones.

Happy Buyer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a couple of years of being frustrated by the Airpods Max, I gave them away and went for the Bose. I think they are on par with the latest high-end Sony headphones. The sound quality and noise cancellation are both very good, and I like the lightweight feel and look of these quite a bit. The only issue I have is getting them to turn on or off, which if I am being honest, is kind of a pain. Still, I consider these to be excellent, and so the five star rating. I'm happy with this purchase, and Best Buy's service, which is also excellent.

Best of the best!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got it for my wife a month ago. She always had issue with every headphone cups cause her ears are so sensitive, so she couldn't have them for more than 30 minutes. Also she has tinnitus and if a loud noise she hears, she will have buzzing in her ears for the whole day. Got this headphone after a long research, cause she always wanted a headphone not hurting her ears, and she is really happy and satisfied with it. She's been using it 3-4 hours every day and it doesn't make her ears ring or hurt her ear cartilages. And the noise cancelling is the best one I've ever seen in any device before. Also, its design is really modern and classy. You can feel the luxury with it. Overall, if I could give it a 10 stars I would.

Oh yeah!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These noise-cancelling headphones are comfortable to wear and work very well. It's cool when you turn them on and put them on...you hear Alexa announcing which device you're connected to (via Bluetooth) and then a big hum...and suddenly it's quiet. You can bearly hear a white noise. And when you listen to music, the sound is rich, and the bass is deep! I love them. Our home is open plan, so when my husband is watching TV, I can hear it in any other room in the house. Hence, these earphones. They work really well.
