Bose were my first headphones and my second so I generally try Bose before anything else. I tried the ultra & less than 1 week of daily use my ears were sweating profusely so I just wiped them off and continued but at then end of the day my ear and the skin totally surrounding it was bright red and itched worse than a 5yr old with chicken pox on his arm while wearing a cast for a broken arm(personal experience) it was a nightmare! I rubbed my ears and skin so hard and vigorously they started bleeding and swelling. I love Bose’s reliability and their new immersion sound but nothing is worth the pain they caused me. So if you do NOT have skin sensitivity I’d go for it in a second but if you do please go with a different pair your ears will thank you I ended up going for the new Sonos Ace headphones they do not and have not disappointed me yet. So go ahead and make your choice in my own personal opinion they rank as follows and this should not be construed as definitive or authoritative just my own personal opinions 1) Bose Ultra Over ear Headphones (if you aren’t sensitive like me 2) Sonos Ace Headphones only problem is app is sometimes a pain in the butt 3) Apple Max headphones the biggest waste of money for the fewest features imaginable all at a price that when it was announced in the strategy meeting everyone looked at the guy talking with look that said are you out of your mind no truly smart person will go for that.

Sound is great, very comfortable, good for big ears (mine are massive)
Downsides: connecting to pc wireless can be difficult at times, battery life is not great, canf use while plugged in to charge

The sound is better than any other headphone I've owned, and the battery life is great. That being said, these headphones have some major issues that are causing me to look at alternatives much sooner than I would have liked.
The seam in the ear cushion starts to rip after a couple of months of use, I've had to replace them 4 times in the 1.5 years I have owned these. Fortunately Bose sells replacements, but they cost $35. So factor that in as a hidden cost of these when comparing them to alternatives, and a major annoyance.
The software can be buggy, they will repeatedly pause and restart. I contacted their support, who told me to turn Bluetooth off on other devices, but that did not help. It doesn't happen too often, but when it does, it goes on for a while, and is very frustrating.
Hi Alex, thank you for sharing your experience. It’s great to hear that you’ve been impressed with the sound quality and battery life, and we’re genuinely thrilled they’ve made a positive impact on your listening experience.
As for the cushions and connection issue, sorry to hear that the troubleshooting steps didn’t resolve it. We recommend reaching out to our support team again so they can pick up where you left off and explore further solutions.

I love it! I was actually surprised at how good the noise cancelling is. They're really comfortable and they fit my big head, no problem. Sound quality is great for me.
