Head phones are perfect for air travel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones for use during air travel and they are perfect for that use. I can turn them on to cancel the sound of the plane during takeoff and just keep them on for watching inflight movies. I put on the collar in the terminal and forget about them. I just insert the ear buds when I get seated on the plane.

Excellent audio expected from Bose
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is expensive but the audio is fantastic as with all Bose products and the noise cancellation feature is second to none. Highly recommended if you appreciate quality audio and like silence on long flights.

Great, but then...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these a couple of months ago, and was really enjoying them. Call quality was good (not great, but good), and found them to be pretty helpful at reducing noise on airplanes, as well as when trying to sleep. Well, last week I put them on, and no sound was coming out of the left earphone. I tried several things, and finally figured out that if I play with the neck band enough, sound will begin to cut out, and in again. Of course, I'm traveling and have become dependent on these for calls, etc.. and I have no usable headphones. Maybe it's just mine, but these don't seem durable enough for every day use.

Fantastic for work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my QC30. I use it primarily for noise mitigation. It cancels the high and low frequencies(think environmental white noise) and allows you to control how much of the midtones(voices) you would like to hear. I can work in a loud environment and still hear a coworker call my name. Plus the sound quality is very good for music and phone calls.

Not as good as other Bose headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headsets are comfortable to wear and have god sound. Problem is their active noise canceling system is inadequate and not on par with other Bose headphones.

A good noise cancelling in-ear headphone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I'm satisfied with the product. The noise canceling works well, and the earbuds for the most part stay in place. The only knock is the neck band sometimes will shift out of place. Otherwise a solid product.

Not Up to Bose Standards
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would like to preface this review stating that I was an avid Bose fan. I fly a great deal and purchased the QC30's specifically for my travel. However, after my first flight, my first set of QC30s would not charge. They had a flashing red light and when I called Bose they said I would have to send them to Bose if I wanted their help. Luckily Best Buy has great customer service and I was able to get a new set during my trip. While on the trip, I tried using the replacement QC30s in the DC Metro. When I turned them on, I experienced an extremely loud squeal that actually hurt my ear. I immediately turned them off and called Bose. The first person I spoke with was not at all helpful and tried to say I did something wrong. All I did was turn on the QC30s which I would think should not be too rigorous on an expensive set of earbuds. Later in the day when I had more time, I again called Bose. After a few call transfers I finally spoke with someone at Bose who said they did have issues with their first run of the QC30s, He had me get the serial number off of the ear bud to confirm, asked me to send them back to Bose and they would send me a new set. It was a hassle but they did send me a new set. In the meantime, I went online and saw that other people not only were receiving new QC30s but for the trouble Bose also sent them a set of QC20s. They never offered me anything but replacing their defective product. It certainly would have been a nice gesture but they did not seem to care. So much for customer loyalty. I have used my new QC30s for about 6 months and have not had the terrible squeal or charging issues. The QC30's will not connect to an airline's entertainment system (no input jack) so either bring a second set of headphones or use the airlines ear bud. All in all, the QC30s are ok but for the price, if you want earbuds, go with the wired QC20s and see what Bose does next.
