    Nice earphones, but not perfect

A very nice pair of earphones. The sound quality is great, and the noice cancellation is surprisingly good for something that doesn't cover your ears. The battery life is decent, usually getting me through the day. However, it falls short when being used in a phone call. The microphone is up in the right earbud instead of closer to the mouth in the volume control. People on the other end frequently have a hard time hearing me.

    Bose loyal, but...

I have several Bose wireless speakers, and have used Bose noise cancelling headphones for the past few years. Loved the headphones, but I was tires of wearing the band on my head. So I replaced with these. Audio begins to breakup when I move maybe 20 feet away. The neck piece is annoying, and the ear buds fall out. I think I should have tried the SONY wireless for the same price.

      Hello Merci,

It's great to hear that you are Bose loyal! It's a shame that you are losing connection with your headphones after 20 feet, the range for these headphones is up to 30 feet. In this instance, I would recommend clearing the pairing list of the headphones.

To clear the product memory of connected Bluetooth® devices:
      • Power off your product
      • Press and hold the Power/Bluetooth button for 10 seconds until your hear Bluetooth device list cleared.

Thank you for taking the time to review the QuietControl30 headphones, we really appreciate your feedback.

Should you still be experiencing any difficulty, then please call the customer care team.

      Kindest regards,

As always, Bose is pricey, but they are the best. I bought these on the strength of my experience using other Bose products. They work very well and I'd recommend them to anyone.

Headphones are comfortable and I do like the comfort of the in ear fitment That is very nice and stays in while working on the yacht I'm a crew member on however they constantly are disconnecting from my Samsung note 8 and searching through the iPhone I have I'm memory and my laptop. This is very frustrating I've had many bose headphones with active noise canceling and I've never had so many issues just overall let down.

I was leary of the neck piece prior to purchase but after reading a few reviews I was persuaded to go ahead and take a chance. Bose sound technology and quality are second to none. Granted, sound and comfort are subjective. Now that I've had these headphones for nearly 30 days I can tell you with complete confidence that you won't be disappointed. Some reviews suggested volume was lacking, I disagree. Others suggested battery strength was a problem. I've used them for 8 hours (approx.) and still had battery life. The neck piece that I was a little suspect of is truly not even noticed when I'm wearing them. From a very particular user in many aspects I give the Bose QC 30 Wireless Headphones 2 thumbs up.

These things sound great and I like how they lock in your ears. My only complaints are there is no way to keep it from spinning around on your neck and if your around anything even a little noisy and try talking to someone on the phone they won't be able to hear you because it cancels out so much noise. Both those things weren't a problem with my $80 LG headset I had previously but sound quality it so much better with these

I have owned the Bose QuietControl 30 wireless headphones for several months now I can honestly give a good review this way. I am going to start by saying that the battery life isn't very good after using the LG Tone Platinum and the Sony 1000X Premium Wireless I expected a better battery life from the BOSE Q30s. Music and other Media sounds are great. You can feel some of the sounds from the BOSE they are great and comfortable. I believe that comfort is one of the best things about these headphones. However, they are HORRIBLE at phone calls. The BOSE Q30 microphone is in the RIGHT earbud which is horrible to have to use because it literally picks up everything except my voice. While riding my bike the headphones pick up all the wind even with the sound canceling on full blast. Besides these negatives, they are great headphones I can honestly say they are worth the price if I could be heard while on a phone call. I don't understand why BOSE would put the microphone on the Earbud instead of the wired remote or the neck piece. But for someone that love listening to music, I like them.

Hello, NYCIVZ. Thank you for sharing your review of the QuietControl 30 wireless headphones. We're pleased to hear that you are enjoying the audio performance and comfort. However, we see that the battery life and use with phone calls have not met your expectations. With a full charge, these headphones are designed to offer up to 10 hours of battery life when playing audio at a moderate level. We advise updating the firmware of the headphones via the Bose Connect app or our online updater - https://bose.life/2LYNuy8. In regards to the microphone, we tuned the communication microphones, mainly used for telephone conversations to the human voice frequency range. They automatically adjust the gain (microphone volume) for “low talkers.” In a loud environment where there are voices in the background, it’s possible the microphones will pick up those background voices and bring up the gain. This can send the background voices through to the far end person on a call. You may hear this too; this is known as sidetone. It's also It’s important to note that mobile devices and cell networks may also perform automatic gain adjustments to the communication microphones’ audio path. Trying a different mobile device may help with what you are experiencing. We certainly appreciate your feedback. If you have any questions or need further assitance, our Bose technical support team is always happy to help - https://bose.life/2xseVx1. We hope you have a great day! Ashley - Bose Support bose

Have had these for a year now. VERY impressed with battery life. Some might not like the bulk of this around their neck. I prefer it. I have about 100 percent chance of losing earbuds in my line of work. I have found me wearing these to the store, around the house, in my bed, and even in my home when I didn't like what honey was watching or listening to. So glad to have them on a 14 hour plane ride. music, movies, podcasts etc. great sound quality, will rattle your skull on high (if you listen to good music ;>))

I bough these headphones because they are wireless earbuds and would be good for wearing while exercising. These are ok for this but I find jaybird better even if the sound is not quite as good. I do not find the noise canceling feature to work well at all especially compared to the over the ear Bose 35s. They truly do cut our the outside sounds. Bose makes great products but this is not near the top of what they have

We've owned a pair of Bose over-the-ear noise-cancelling headphones for several years and have been very satisfied. So, I was somewhat skeptical about how the earbuds would work. In my opinion the noise-cancelling properties of the earbuds maybe slightly less effective compared to the over-the-ear headphones. However, the noise-cancelling properties of the earbuds are still very effective and are very comfortable. The collar seems to flop-round a lot when you exercise, which can be mildly annoying. Some users complained that the noise-cancelling feature is automatically shut off when taking calls. Although that is true...it certainly wasn't a problem or a distraction for me.

These are great and stay charged for a long time. The only thing I don’t like is that the battery that goes around your neck tends to turn and pull on the earbuds.

I've had the Bose Quiet Headphones, Boes In ear compak Quite Comfort and now the QuietControl 30. Worked great going to Amsterdam on a business trip and then back. Battery lasted for most of the 11 hour trip going and coming back. On the trip back the seat had a USB port for charging the device. The ONLY setback is there is not way to connect the headphones into an audio output jack to listen to movies or music. The headphones are Bluetooth only. Which to me is a negative to the product.

I have tried nearly all of the upper tier wireless headphones. I purchased the Bose QC 30 and returned them without trying them in favor of a different brand that was cheaper. Mistake. Repurchased the QC30s. The separation of highs, lows and midrange is absolutely unparalleled, as is the comfort. I like not having to shove the earbuds deep into the ear canal to get the intended sound. I learned how good these headphones are on a bicycle trip when being able to "hear" my surroundings was important. The variable noise canceling is awesome. Can't wait to try them on an airplane, but nothing sounds as good as the QC 30s at least from the ones I've tried out.

Great noise cancelling. The plastic bar that sits around your neck is what I thought would be a deal breaker but I found you don't even know it is there. Great job on that one. The sound quality is spot on. The volume could be louder but if you are using noise cancelling it doesn't need to be louder. I have noticed if using it for a conference call is when I would want the volume to be louder.

When I saw these, it looked great. The ear buds fit great and the noise cancellation works like a charm. The Bose application to control the headphones is also a great addition when connected to a mobile phone. The battery life seems to be as advertised and it works ok with answering your mobile phone. I have the Quiet comfort 20 and this headset is great because it is wireless and battery time is a lot longer.

I use these for airline travel. the noise cancelling is good and its nice not being tied to wires . I bought a blue tooth transmitter and it works perfectly for plugging into the planes entertainment system. I am still experermenting with the best fit for the earbuds. After a couple of hours they seem uncomfortable. Also, I control everything via the app on the phone which is very convenient

Read reviews about product. Could not make up my mind for 4 months. Finally, took the plunge to let go of $400 bones. Best product thus far I have purchased produced by Bose. Awesome sound quality, battery life is truly at least 10 hours, noise cancellation is amazing. No one could even hear my mower while I was using them. Still trying to get used to the band around my neck, but the buds fit perfectly with the variable pieces supplied. My one only dislike is the charging port cover is very hard to remove to charge and looks like it may become easily broken. We will see, but overall, Outstanding Product Bose!
