BIG sound in a little box. For its size, You can't get a better sound and features for the money. I use BIGGER and more expensive powered speakers almost every day. When I just need a small system two of these are the bomb.

This unit is used at a Liquor Store to add volume to whatever is playing on the TV. Any sporting game or concert that is playing is pipped into and out of this sounding awesome!

Bose continues to make outstanding products! This speaker is robust, you can just feel it when you pick it up and inspect it. The handle on top makes it so easy to bring with you anywhere you wanna go. Lightweight too, I believe it's around 15lbs. To put that into perspective for you I googled some common items that weigh approx. the same, vacuum cleaner, kitchen stool, empty child cart seat, bowling ball. There is an optional tripod you can get that will allow the speaker to be raised up to different heights. For professionals (DJs and musicians) I can see this is as a must add on. For the non-professional, I don't see the need, the body is designed to lay at an angle to project the sound at an optimum level, so it doesn't sit flat if you were to just sit it on the ground. There is also an optional lithium-ion rechargeable battery sold separately that comes with an 11 hour cordless play time. Downloading the Bose Connect app is a welcome ease. Takes literally minutes, and anyone can connect via bluetooth to the speaker. Great for parties, karaoke, guitar practice, and I like to use it for better than movie theater quality sound to connect to my projector for movie nights. As great as it sounds for movies, that isn't where this speaker really shines. It really shines outside, as mentioned above with get togethers and gatherings. Truly designed with the professional in mind. This should not be cooped up indoors. In wide open spaces HOLY MOLY, I can't say enough. This speaker has a reverb, bass, and treble adjustment for each of the two inputs. It has auto EQ as well. With the Bose Connect app, you have the ability to increase the sound even more by project your sound to another S1 if you have one. I have no doubt in my mind this awesome S1 PA system will be functioning for years to come. Well done Bose!

I love this speaker. I really didn’t know that I needed it, until I got it. So I have to speak occasionally at church to my group. We do not have a good audio setup. With the social distancing and whatnot in a pandemic, its important to be able to speak to everyone in large spaces. The Bose S1 Pro does it all. I use it as a PA system after hooking up my microphone to it. If things get boring, I can connect my phone and play some music. I hook up my guitar and boom, it’s a mini-concert! It really outperformed all of my expectations. Right out of the box, the S1 Pro was alot smaller than I expected. I had mixed feelings as I was happy it was more portable than I expected, but the smaller size had to come with a sound tradeoff. I was wrong. The speaker has a very clean aesthetic like what we expect of Bose. I was happy with the build quality. You can either connect via bluetooth which is quick and easy or via the XLR which is even quicker and easier. You are all ready to go. In terms of sound, I was blown away by how loud it got. So that certainly exceeded my expectations. It’s got great balanced sound with minimal distortion even when you max the volume. It definitely filled the hall indoors. I tried the speaker outdoors as well and it still held up. One thing you should be aware of, the power cord is only 6 feet long. I always carry around an extension cable because of this. Honestly, I am tempted to buy this “optional battery” because it would just make this so much more versatile. All in all, I love the Bose S1 Pro. It’s a great versatile speaker and PA system.
