Customers have good things to say about the S1 Pro's sound quality, portability, and ease of use with Bluetooth connectivity. Many appreciate its surprisingly loud volume and compact size, despite needing to be plugged in. While some wish for a longer power cord, the overall impression is overwhelmingly positive.

Great Monitor/Practice/Small Venue PA

This speaker really suprised me. Our budding singer/songwriter had an easy time setting this up with a microphone, music lined in from his phone, and a guitar, all setup and sound levels adjusted in minutes. He also loves this for practice. 3 inputs, one is always for piped in sound, but the other two can be microphone or guitar/insturment. The sound is great and plenty loud for a small venue. It it had one fall off in performance, it would be with heavy bass sound, its no subwoofer. With the optional battery, this setup would give a solo performer everything to have great sound and presence, anywhere and anytime. We tried it for simple projector screen 2-mic karoke from a laptop and it worked really well, easy to adjust the line in music level versus the microphone level to make it sound right. Karoke is kind of slumming it for this versatile performance speaker, but it is definitely in its wheel house. I really recommend this for the DJs and performers out there, although the battery would probably be required to get the most Unique and compelling use out of this for those already with a lot of audio equipment.

Impeccable sound. 'Almost' my favorite

Right off the bat, the sound is amazing. Especially coming from such a small framework. Out of the several P.A. speakers I use, this is definitely the loudest, and on several types of music, the cleanest in showcasing every nuance in a particular song. Highs are crisp, mid are meaty and the low end has a full thump. This is quite a feat being it is also the smallest and most portable. Expanding on volume, I turned on some music in a rather large space. As I continued to pace backward, for a good distance, it’s as if I was still standing near the speaker. This really fills the room.
Connections are straight forward, and if you use live instruments, the tone match and reproduction are top tier. I also enjoy the orientation configuration. Whether flat, vertical or angled, the different configurations aid in effectively filling my space with the proper coverage. Thus far, this is definitely my new go to for live applications where accurate sound reproduction is paramount.
With that being said, it is the subtle comparisons to my other units that I feel the SP1 falls just short of portable bliss. The first point of contention is the lack of any type of EQ for Bluetooth or AUX sources. Of the many uses I have, one in particularly related to this point, is my use as a HIIT Instructor. I create playlists through my phone on the fly, connect via BT and pipe in a microphone. If your audio is a master, or already mixed for effect, you’re good to go, but using a standard streaming service, there are inadequacies in the compression. It would be nice to have some dial in effects to bring out different elements in certain music. For instance, classic rock tracks sound phenomenal as you can hear every guitar lick to keep you moving, but hip hop can often be lacking in the bass department. I know the speaker is capable of better reproduction, but since a master is not always available, a variation on the unit seems like it should be fairly standard.
Next would be the lack of Phantom Power. If you use condensers for performance, which I often do, you will need to bring another device to supply power to your mics/instruments, thus detracting from the portability. This limits the gear I could be using while performing.
Lastly, a feature I’ve grown to love on, for comparison, the Eon One is ducking. That is music automatically dropping in volume when the mic is present. When using channels 1 and 2 in performance, this isn’t an issue, but reverting back to my HIIT example, while using BT, this has become a norm to my “performances.” Being this isn’t a truly “standard” feature, I don’t hold it against the SP1, but going back to have no controls for BT, a mixing knob is sorely missing.
Minus these issues, this little beast is a wonder. Very capable, very sturdy and reliable. It is indeed a remarkable speaker.

The name Bose has become synonymous with HiFi and they have hit the mark with the S1 pro. I was really shocked with how loud and clear the sound of this PA was in such a light and compact package.
The PA is really straight forward with a few controls. You get an integrated two channel mixer that works great for an acoustic set. It also has a great Bluetooth connection for plying tracks off anything you need. What is really amazing is that all of this is in such a small and lightweight package.
The sound is incredible. You can use the mixer to dial in you r sound really precise. The overall sound is encredibly loud and clear. With it on 4 I can fill a 700 square foot space and almost feel like it’s too loud. I have no doubt this could work great for coffee shop or small venue settings. I am really stunned at how great it sounds.
Overall if you need a small portable PA that is capable of delivering great loud sound this is a perfect option.

The ALMOST Do-It-All PA/Speaker System

I LOVE this Bose S1 PRO! It is a 150W PA Speaker with a three-channel mixer and 35mm mount. It features two combo XLRs w/ 1/4" jack and 3.5mm or BT 5.0 as 3rd input. A line out links to another speaker or mixer. An onboard accelerometer auto EQs the S1 Pro based on the speaker orientation in one of 4 positions: on the ground, on its side, tilted back, or elevated. You can hear the differences, especially regarding the bass EQ in all positions. The Bose Connect app brings smart connectivity and ease of use for streaming. I am trying to find a battery to make it portable, but I will need to wait with supply problems. This thing is the truth for its size and the sound it produces; the sound stage is simply magic using the angles speakers in the array.
Specs
150W Speaker
Two combo XLR - ¼" inputs
3.5 mm input
Bluetooth input
¼" TRS line output FYI: Line Out is post-mix
Speaker:13" H x 9.5" W x 11.2" D (15.7 lbs)
NO PHANTOM POWER!
The S1 Pro is a versatile piece of kit for the traveling event professional or just someone looking to play an instrument or music for a party or small gathering. You can use it as a BlueTooth speaker, monitor for stage performance, PA system to announce and MC, or just a portable practice speaker that can turn into your performance on the drop of the speaker. The S1 Pro can provide sound for a Solo or Duo performances. Stream a track, play an instrument, and sing on the mic… perfect! It has ToneMatch, which works well when using a mic and a guitar. At church, this works well as the children's ministry speaker and is a quick way to practice before the actual sound equipment is set up. At home, I work on my acoustic guitar skills and stream music with ease. This speaker really morphs into whatever you need it to be.
Now let's talk sound! The speaker sounds great, from the lows to the highs! Everything is clear and well represented with the BOSE profile fans know and love. In my opinion, there is bass, but it sounds small (as it should), which is why I yearn to buy something else or have the option to add a subwoofer separately, which is not currently an available option. There isn't nearly enough bass, and there is no ability to adjust on the fly.
I wish there were a wireless subwoofer to fill in the lows I am yearning for. Why isn't there a tone match jack for Bose mixer? Yes, vocal and guitar work fine, but it would be nice to have it on every input. What if we want to connect something else via BlueTooth? The sound is excellent from this speaker, and the size is perfect for a well-built package; the S1 Pro will last for years to come.
Pros
+Can play Duo or Solo
+Impressive size-to-performance ratio
+Clarity is excellent and crisp throughout mids and highs
Cons
-Lacks a bit in the bass department but punches above its weight class for soundstage.
-No EQ Knobs or ToneMatch on AUX/BT
-Dynamic mics only. Creativity can lead to a solution, but condenser mics are a no-go here.
-No Phantom Power (I have a 48V Phantom Power Supply w/ adapter and problem solved)
-Speaker specs are not listed. Details are hard to find regarding frequency range and response.
Wish List
=Would like to see USB ports to charge things possibly.
=Would want Master gain over all three inputs.
=More bass or a wireless Sub to add to this.

Bose has won me back over with their small, super portable s1-pro PA speaker. I have been looking for a easily mobile speaker to use for singing and my bass. It is the perfect amp for my needs. The ability to play bluetooth audio though the PA is great! The whole thing (no battery) weighs a little more than a gallon of milk and puts out the high quality Bose sound you expect. The mic quality is amazing, even with a low end mic and with reverb, bass and treble adjustments on each line input, it makes it very easy to perform with.
The case feels very solid and has a deep well handle on the top for carrying. It has multiple positions you can set the case to orient the sound how you need it. There are 2 inputs for a mic or guitar. There is a selector switch on each line in to select if the input is a mic. Guitar, or if you want the input off. It also has the bluetooth input, and a 3.5mm aux input as well. Each 3 input areas have their own volume knob which I love, and they are placed well on the PA.
In order to get the full effect, you need to download the bose connect app to be able to link bluetooth, and also be able to party chain the speaker with multiple bose speakers.
Just to note, this PA's drivers can not handle sub bass frequencies. It is intended as a mid and high range speaker. That being said, it still does put out good bass, but the light at the volume knob will flash red on sub bass hits if it is too much for the volume you are at. Playing my bass guitar on the PA though works great and sound clarity is rich tone and the sound carries a good distance.
Using this PA for gigs makes things so easy to set up and less complicated. I couldn't be happier. I strongly suggest this Bose S-1 pro PA.

Life of the Party!!

I've had many Bluetooth speakers in my years, but non that livened up a party like the Bose S1 Pro PA System. This speaker is so versatile, one minute it can be used as a typical Bluetooth speaker and the next a karaoke machine. It's easy to move around and sets up virtually anywhere.
I couldn't have gotten this speaker at better time. We had planned our holiday work party and knowing that I had this wonderful little speaker coming to me I offered up my skills to host the music.
At first when I got the Bose S1 home and removed it from its packaging I could instantly tell this was a quality item. It comes with a power cord and speaker cover. Initial setup was very simple and straight forward. The shape of the Bose allows for multiple resting positions to get the best possible sound to the crowd. I really like that this speaker gives the user the ability to adjust the bass and treble to their liking.
So on the day of the party I loaded up the Bose S1, a microphone, iPad, iPad Stand and brought it all to the venue. I picked a prime spot and was set up ready to go in less than 10 minutes. This PA speaker was used to play music, make announcements, and at the height of the party do some karaoke. The Bose S1 was a hit! So many people raved about this thing and I'm sure our local retail stores will probable sell a few of these in the next coming days.
I love my new PA system and as far as I can tell so does many of my coworkers. Bose knocked this one out of the park. Once you hear it and see what all can be done with it, you realize normal BT speakers can't come close. I definitely recommend the S1 to anyone looking for a great versatile setup.

This speaker is perfect for jamming. It is easy to carry, durable and compact.
I had it hooked up to two guitars using quarter inch jacks and even with hardly any adjustments, the sound is great. It’s a Bose, so you cannot go wrong with the sound quality. The acoustic guitar sounded crisp and the electric guitar sounded full. With the two instruments playing together, they blended in perfectly. I also tried hooking up a wireless microphone system and the sound is great. I know the vocal quality is a result of a good microphone, but the speaker output of this is so powerful, I can modulate my voice and speak softly without losing detail in my speech and song. It’s like having a big PA working for me.
Bluetooth connectivity is easy and the aux jack works well too, although I will hardly find any use for the aux plug. This is a perfect speaker for this Christmas. There will be some performances for the holiday gathering, and this Bose speaker will be a highlight—it mixes and outputs music easily, all in one solid tiny speaker form. It’s a must have if you like to perform, or even just jam with friends.

Big Power in a Small Package

Bose S1 Pro is the perfect companion for any venue from a monitor performer, studio, or just a small party or function.
We use this primarily in a dance studio and the sound is perfect and fills the studio easily for all the dancers to hear and enjoy while they perform. It connects seamlessly via bluetooth and has just enough basic functions to get the job done. It has two inputs for either a microphone, guitar and individual controls for each input. We use with microphone for studio instructions and announcements and this is more than powerful enough for our needs.
We even used this Bose speaker recently for a Christmas parade and the sound was loud enough for our dancers to perform to while dancing in the parade and for the spectators to enjoy. We are very pleased with this speaker as it is very easy to transport with the included handle and light weight.
Will probably be investing in the optional battery which is not included that would make this speaker perfect in all ways for our needs.

I love this speaker let me start with that, it sounds amazing. I had been looking for something to be able to use when I get to have birthday parties for my kids again. Our backyard is pretty big and having a good speaker especially one where we can use a mic was crucial. I was able to test it out playing music from my phone and had a mic hooked up and it worked like a dream. I also had my friend come over and bring several of his instruments so we hook up and test them out. And it was so easy to use and sounded great. He’s convinced and will buy a speaker for himself to use on his gigs.
If you are looking for something with plenty of power but compact and light weight this is it, look no further your speaker is here.
I am definitely interested in getting the optional battery to make this completely wireless as I think that will make this even better but even having to plug it in now it works great.
