Not enough features or comfort to be worth the price. For this price you should be able to listen to podcasts or music. or they should fit a little better (I know everyone's ears are different).

      Hi Tony.
Thank you for your post. In order to achieve a form factor small enough to be comfortable for sleeping, and accommodate a battery that can support sound playback for an entire night, we made the conscious design decision not to stream audio to Sleepbuds. Instead, the sound files are stored on each of the earbuds and played back locally, dramatically extending the audio playback time achievable in this tiny form factor. With regard to the fit, please try changing the ear tips. It comes in 3 sizes(S, M, L). If you will require further assistance, please contact us here, https://bose.life/3w26oxv. We'd love to help.

These are nice little earbuds if you need to block out sounds during the night. My first thought on putting them in was “why can’t all earbuds be this comfortable?” I was concerned about feeling these when sleeping on my side. That isn’t really an issue. They are small enough that I don’t feel them against the pillow. With respect to stopping noise, they block out sounds much like an earplug, though not as effectively as a foam plug. On the plus side, they don’t cause the same pressure in your ear canal as the foam plugs. The actual function of the sleepbuds is to provide some white noise to cover other sounds (there is no noise-cancelling). You have a very wide variety of sounds to choose from. I prefer the one of the water sounds. I was concerned about having something playing in my ears all night and whether or not that could result in hearing damage. I set the volume one notch higher than the minimum and laid down to sleep. During the night I woke up and noticed that the sound had stopped. When I turned over, the sounds started up again. So, the sound is there while you are falling asleep, then the buds go quiet. If you wake up and move around, the sound comes back on. Given the charging issues that the first generation had, it is worth noting that the buds do not charge when you first plug in the case. You need to take out the buds, then put them back in. This seems to happen only when plugging it in for the first time, so I have to conclude that it was a safety measure to stop the batteries from being fully charged when shipping. Overall, I like these and will probably take them when traveling. Thankfully my home is quiet enough that I don’t really need them.

I wanted the first version of these for Christmas 2 years ago & never got them so I was super excited to try these. They come in a small case that looks like a compact & the lights for charging are bright & glow. I had a little trouble at first because after a few hours of charging they still showed 16%, I pushed them further in the case & then within a few minutes read 100%. The left side is a bit hard to get in the case & they click into place. After that small issue though, I had no problem connecting them through the app, set up was easy & some sounds were already pre loaded. All sounds are controlled through the app, there are 39 total & range from campfires to waterfalls. You can put 14 sounds on till it tells you it’s full & to remove one to add another. The timer can be set from 30 minutes to 10 hours . I used them last night & had one of my best sleeps ever. I have a hard time sleeping when it’s completely quiet, my husband snores & I also have anxiety & live on a busy road so they had a big job to do & they came through. I set them for 30 minutes to an ocean sound & I heard nothing around me , I even kept the volume low because they can be pretty loud at high volume & you want to be able to hear a smoke alarm go off. I have small ears & used the tips they came with & they fit perfectly, comfortable & stayed in this restless sleepers ears without falling out, I even slept on my side & they still stayed in place. I also thought I may lose the connection since my phone is in my kitchen but they stayed connected when I went to bed. These would be great for plane or train travel or a noisy hotel. Besides the battery connection issue everything else was great.

I purchased these about 3 months ago. The left sleep bud is all of a sudden way quieter then the right. I called support and they offered me a new set but first I have to send my set in and then wait about a month for the new ones to come. So instead of at least getting to use the right side which which does work and allows me to kinda sleep I have to go a month listening to my husband snore because Bose can not make a reliable product.

Product failed under a year. Charging case won't charge. Bose won't repaired the device even though I purchase the Sleepbuds 2 under year. They gave a discount to repurchase the Sleepbuds 2 $185 to replaced my defect Sleepbuds. Won't purchase a Bose product again. Even when the Sleepbuds were working it didn't make me fall asleep faster.

Horrible, it is bad enough that you can only listen to the sounds from the Bose app, the worst part is that I'm order to listen to the sounds you have to download the noises to the earbud which has a tiny memory. It only holds about 10-15 sounds. If you want to add more you will have to delete the existing ones. If you are going to charge people $300 for this, let people stream they stuff or at the least let people stream the Bose contents, not having to download and delete just to keep a handful of sounds on the earbud. Returning.

Hi, Thank you for reaching out! I am sorry that you chose to return your sleepbuds.

The sleepbuds play specially curated relaxation content which is downloaded locally to the sleepbuds. This dramatically extends the audio playback and battery time achievable in this tiny form factor. This does mean the sleepbuds will not stream your own music, audio books or podcasts.

We do have other earbuds available which allow streaming your own media. You can find these here https://bose.life/3zY0dvL.

      Hi J,

The Sleepbuds II while looking similar, should not be confused for wireless earbuds for music. They're a sleep aid first and foremost and are designed specifically to help people who suffer from the inability to sleep well, and need to mask out unwanted noise.

Sounds are fine, app is fine. These are noise masking, not noise cancelling. No match for my wife's snoring. Fit is good and getting a seal is pretty easy. But the unit itself jams into your ear if you are a side sleeper. Returning

it is a wonderful invention, but the earpieces seem to be to a bit bulky when they are pressed against a pillow. It would be better if the app can be audible without the earpieces (but that would defeat the purposes of the Sleepbuds).

Bought these in advance of a birthday because I had expiring rewards. Now that I have gifted them, the person has just opened them for the first time and they show no sign of working at all. They do not charge or light up at all. We have tried all troubleshooting steps listed on the Bose website. I have read many online forums complaining about this issue. It must be a huge problem from Bose. Is Bose doing anything to fix their defective products ?

After Just Two Months—Now a Useless Piece of Junk

Right after the date stating that this is “No Longer Returnable”, the charging port fell apart internally. For $300+, and being a Bose product, I expected this to be a relatively ‘long life’ product—at least longer than two months. As it stands, and because of Best Buy’s arcane, buyer-offensive return policy, after owning this for under two months I now have a useless piece of junk that does nothing—just a very expensive paperweight. I’m extremely disappointed.

Finally ordered these despite some bad reviews. Got them all set up today and they need an update which will NOT install. Tried all troubleshooting steps and eventually downloaded the Bose Updater to my Mac, select the sleepbuds from the Bose website, get an error that they are not recognized. Bose website says they are covered under warranty and I have to send these in and it'll be 4 weeks for a replacement. Haven't even been able to use these.

Have you tried updating via the Bose Sleepbuds app? That's a normal way of updating and should help if you're having any trouble setting up.
