Take a little getting used to but they are great if you have noise around you! I use these when traveling on business as some hotels you get noisy guests, or in big cities the noise from outside, and they work wonderfully! My partner also has some snoring challenges and these drown that out and enable me to get a good nights sleep. Expensive but worth it for proper sleep.

Love the idea, and the system works very well to create an effective sound bubble which masks out all but the loudest of sounds while sleeping. However, a couple of downsides prevent me from recommending these. My comments: Earbuds/Comfort. The earbuds are extremely comfortable and very light! I am a side-sleeper and, for me, these earbuds are just not comfortable for an entire night. Every night I’ve used them, I have had to take them out in the middle of the night or face pretty sore ears by morning. For me, the earbuds need to be made more comfortable for us side-sleepers. I also think the all-night comfort might be dependent on the shape of individual users’ ears. I did try all of the ear tips, trying to get the perfect fit. Batteries. I was surprised to see that the batteries in the earbuds themselves are NiMH, not lithium ion. NiMH is, in my view, an “old” battery technology which also carries with it some of the old battery technology negatives — e.g., memory effect and high self-discharge. The battery in the recharging case is Li-ion, but if you unplug the case, you’ll lose all charge over just a few days (perhaps due to the high self-discharge rate of the NiMH earbuds). Not great if you plan to travel with these earbuds (bring the charging cable and charge daily). Pre-set Sounds: I very much appreciate that Bose created this system to allow the earbuds to not require a live Bluetooth or network connection to the phone during the night. The sounds that are preloaded or downloadable to the earbuds are sufficient. However, I would love to see Bose upload periodic new sounds/music periodically (quarterly?); I have not seen any new updates. Some of the sounds are just not usable, in my opinion. If Bose will fix these issues (version 3?), I believe this could be quite an elegant solution. Until then, I’m returning these until a better system is available.

I loved these sleeping buds, they are fairly comfortable to wear, they do mask most of the outside sounds and the sounds are quite relaxing. It’s easy to travel with the rechargeable case that holds charge for a few nights. The problem is that 2 months after the one year warranty was over the right headphone decided to die and stopped working. After talking to support and trying everything, it was decided that I needed to replace it. But too bad, the device is out of warranty so you need to buy an entire new unit. Now, for the price and brand I would expect for this product to work for years, and if they knew that the product was well built, they would offer more than one year warranty for defects from factory. But that’s not the case, so if you decide to buy it, keep in mind that you might need to buy a new set next year.

Love my Sleepbuds II! Easy set up. Very comfortable in ear and flush so sleeping on side is not a problem. Great choices of sounds. I use one that sounds like my fan. I can totally drown out hubby's snoring and the inconsiderate late nighters in the upstairs apartment. Finally, I can get a good night's sleep. The alarm to wake me in the morning is a great bonus. Highly recommend. I turned a friend on to them who also now has a pair.

I really loved the first version of the Sleepbuds, although I did have a variety of problems (but was pleased with the great Bose customer service and the two replacements I received). I was sad to see them discontinued. But when the new Sleepbuds II were released I bought them immediately. And they are even better. They connect to the app much quicker when the buds are removed from the case, and seem to hold their charge much longer and providing greater confidence with the new battery. My only quibble is that the gentle ocean waves sound is not quite as good as what I experienced with the original Sleepbuds. They continue to work really well to block the many annoying sounds from the street and increasingly clueless neighbors -- and so boost much needed sleep. And perhaps I'm just glad to see a new version, but I find the buds themselves to be a bit more comfortable in my ears all night.

These sleepbuds have saved me a lot of sleep and frustration. I was frequently woke up during the night due to super loud snoring, until I got these sleepbuds about 1 month ago. Because of the noise canceling (not 100%, but certainly decent) plus the correct amount of ambient sound from the Bose app, I sleep TONS better. I had to find the right amount of volume so it didn’t hurt my ears but still either eliminated the snoring or made it background noise along with the ambient sound. Also, if you need to hear really well at night, these may work TOO well. The earbuds charge on the base 4-5 nights before you have to plug the base back in. Also, you need to make sure the buds’ linear lights comes on when you put them in the base. I made the mistake one night of not putting it on the base properly and lost the sound during the night. NOTE that these are not regular earbuds because you can ONLY play sounds from the Bose app. This is perfect for me since I’m trying to stay off my phone and get better sleep at night.

I've been having sleeping issues for the past year on and off due to an electrical transformer outside that produces a loud hum. These sleepbuds have been a life saver. I can wear them all night comfortably, they block out the loud hum, and after 8 hours of sleep, they still have just under 50% of their battery left. I will say that setup was a little bumpy, but eventually everything worked just right. I've seen posts about people complaining that they won't charge past ~25%. It seems it's more of a 'visual' issue and once you've charged them for the recommend initial charge time, you can 'calibrate' the base which will reset the charge value.

I have used these Bose Sleep Buds II for a little over 2 weeks now and I absolutely love them. I was a little apprehensive at first due to the price, but I was willing to give them a shot since there was a return policy if I didn’t like them. After using them, they’re definitely worth the price for me. I have extremely rude, noisy upstairs neighbors who have been waking me up multiple times per night for months from stomping, slamming drawers, and yelling. My fan and white noise machine were just not cutting it - but now using these sleep buds along with them, my neighbors have not woken me up once. It’s made a big difference for me. I like that they block sound in addition to playing noise from the app. I also like that they are loud enough to cover up noises while sleeping but are not too loud to mask something like a smoke detector. The battery lasts 1 night and I just have to put them in the case to charge in the morning. You won’t get multiple nights’ use out of one charge, but I think that’s fair given that they’re on and being used all night.

I needed to find a replacement for earplugs that were hurting my ears. The buds come with three different sizes of adjuster similar to the silicone tips you can buy for AirPods to make them fit snuggly. (However, I think the Bose version is much softer than the AirPod tips I bought from Amazon.)They do not fit like AirPods but instead a very small portion sits inside the entrance of the ear canal. They are flatter than AirPods and comfortable to sleep in. (I’m a side sleeper.) I haven’t had any trouble with them falling out or with ear pain like ear plugs can cause. The app lets you adjust volume, set alarms, and choose from their different recordings. You cannot play your own music but there are plenty of choices like soothing music, rain noises, ocean waves, white noise, etc. The charge lasts all night - the longest I have tried them was 10 hours with no problems. The case recharges them about 4 times before you need to recharge the case. Comes with case and usb charging cord. These have been perfect for me to mask snoring husband! I haven’t slept this good in years!

Honestly, these buds ensure the best sleep I have enjoyed other than using a box fan. I wanted a product that blocked noise without air blowing into my eyes and sinuses all night. I also wanted a product that was portable and convenient for trips. The best part about these buds is you can program your morning alarm into the buds…no worries about not hearing an alarm! The only minor downside is my ears are still getting used to the buds, and they have been a bit sore in the morning. I notice that this initial soreness is getting better the longer I continue to use the buds. I am expecting it to eventually not be an issue since I have been using the buds for about 2 weeks now. My final conclusion is this: buy these buds if you want the best sleep of your life!

I am a Bose fan I have so many products with this company. The earphones are comfort and fit well. You can sleep through the night with them. The only knock is that you can listen to your own music. You only have the option to listen to the sleep music try catalog. They have a huge variety of choices and I enjoyed it but wasn’t worth the cost just to listen to sleep music with no other options. If you don’t mind just the sleep music it’s a great buy.

These are a game changer when it comes to sleep! I am sleeping more deeply and am not wakened by my husband's snoring with these ear buds. There are multiple sounds, I like the railway, that are soothing and the built in alarm does not disturb my husband when I wake earlier then him.

These Bose ear pods are wonderful! I wanted sound control that I can “sleep on” comfortably. Great sound or just silence if you want. Easy to use with alternate sizes of ear buds included. I am looking forward to more sound choices on the app.

Have used a sound machine before, but I wanted something that wouldn't keep my wife up. I love these sleepbuds. Easy to setup, easy to use. They're comfortable wear and good for about three nights. I would definitely recommend them. My only negative would be that you can only use the programmed sounds on the sleepbuds, which is fine, but it would be nice to be able to upload new sounds.

I absolutely love the Bose Sleepbuds. I have to admit that I purchased this product with low expectations. Not because of the product, but due to the fact that I had tried so many different option to block noise that wake me at night and nothing worked or worked comfortably. I’ve now been using these for about three weeks and have slept perfectly from the first night. They are extremely comfortable and I can even sleep with ear on the pillow without discomfort! I would highly recommend these for anyone that can sleep to gentle background sounds. The only comment that I can make that sheds any negative light on this product is the fact that they are completely one dimensional. They only serve this one purpose and cannot be used for listening to music while working out. They are only for sleeping using the provided sound effects. I would not have any reservations strongly recommending these Sleepbuds to anyone. They are truly awesome!

Great diversity of sounds, blocks snoring husband! Earbuds stay in all night, battery lasts through the night. Remember these are NOT bluetooth and only use the built-in selection of sounds, but the selection is diverse and effective.

These are great, really nice sound quality. I waited a month or two before buying them, then finally decided it would be good peace of mind if they worked well which they do! Pretty comfortable and I'm a side sleeper; there are different sizes as well that you can change out to fit your ears. I like the sounds you can choose on the app, and there is a good variety. So if you do not prefer some you will likely find at least a few that you enjoy-I've found quite a few that I like. Sometimes the app is a little glitchy but could also be related to my phone. Though not cheap, they were worth the money in my opinion as I can drown out noise at night while still being able to hear important things (e.g. my dogs, alarms). I am very noise sensitive. During the day is nice to use them during meditation and to drown out noise as I live in an apartment complex.

Left sleepbud lost most of its volume after 18 months of use. Tried troubleshooting as their website suggests without success. Unfortunately, Bose has only 1 yr warranty from date of purchase. I reached out to them, they could only offer refurbished replacement for $75 less than purchasing brand new. Would have been nice if they offered an option to have the customer pay a reasonable fee for them to refurbish original pair and send back. I probably won't purchase a replacement, given its failure after 18 months plus the high price to replace, it's just not worth it. I expected them to last longer than that for $240. When they worked, I loved them. Blocked out my snoring husband like a charm. You must install their app on your phone and pair to Bluetooth to get them to work. However, I felt some of the sounds they offered were too high pitched to fall asleep to, or would run on a distracting loop. My favorites were Elements and Crosswinds.

My first pair I had to return, the left bud stopped charging. Second pair I wore for two weeks then took car camping at Coachella Music Festival. AMAZING. The groups around my tent were loud, yelling, singing, and what not throughout the night and these sleep buds drowned them completely out. I was the only person amongst any of my friends to get a full night's sleep and feel well rested each day. I am an extremely light sleeper so I wasn't expecting these results. I highly recommend these, they are so worth it. Battery: I camped 4 nights and the rechargeable dock for the buds had just enough juice for 3 days until I had to use my portable charger. Sound: Clear and consistent. No static or break in sound.
