Incredible little champ - worth every penny
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WOW - the only word to describe this thing. I have an older Bose Soundbar that doesn't have HDMI or the option to add the Bass Module 700, and I was craving the deep rumble that only the 700 can provide. I saw the price point on the Smart Soundbar 300, and thought it was too good to be true. I noticed that it is able to connect to the Wireless Surround Speakers, and the bass modules (even having the ability to add 2 subs!!) so, I went for it. I bought the whole package. I hooked the Soundbar 300 up and started playing music. I couldn't believe my ears - the whole room filled with rich, full sound, and that was only from this tiny Soundbar. The percussion instruments were bouncing off the walls, and I could almost pick out individual guitar strings. This thing, even without the other speakers, sounds INCREDIBLE. Next, I unpacked the Bass Module 700 and added that, and the surround speakers in. When playing music, there's a certain low end that is brought out by the bass module, but it doesn't overpower the Soundbar 300 at all - it only enhances it. Then, I put on some movie previews. During scenes with action, or "superhero landings", the whole floor shakes and rumbles with LFE that has to be experienced to be believed, all the while, this Soundbar maintains crystal clear dialogue, and sparkly, crisp surround. The speakers on the side throw sound so far, it makes the sound stage seem about 12 feet wide. Overall, I'd say that I'm beyond happy with this purchase, and I would be completely satisfied with just the bar itself, if I was someone who isn't into the whole theater experience, and only looking to enhance the sound from my regular speakers. Once it becomes part of the complete package, though, this thing is a SERIOUS bargain, and a total winner. It blows the competition away in its size and price class, and even holds its own with Bose's Soundbar 700. Even my wife commented on how amazing it is to watch TV or a movie and be completely, and effortlessly immersed in sound. Thanks, Bose, for doing it again. I've been a life long fan, and this shows why.

Good, almost very good, but not great...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's fine but I expected a little bit richer sound quality, it's not that it bad, it's more because it's a Bose...they figure out how to product the best overall auditory experience with the most compact footprint, at least that's what I've always believed...

Beware of open box deals
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Main takeaway: this is a great unit with excellent sound quality Body: For those looking to take advantage of an open box deal, keep in mind you may not get a perfectly working unit despite the stated condition (in my case condition was excellent). After opening, we were able to connect to the speaker using the app. However, somewhere between connecting it to the internet and connecting it to the TV, it seemed to fall into an endless software update. After much research, we were able to find an old reddit thread detailing how to properly reinstall the factory software via the service port on the back. After doing this, it worked! Sound is great and it easily paired with the 500 series base module we purchased with it. I am not taking any stars for my struggles that could be a result of it being an open box deal.

Quality Bose Soundbar
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality and feel of this soundbar is top notch. It looks great in person with the metal speaker grill under my tv. I use it in our small bedroom and it is perfect for this use but I’d imagine it would also be great in a larger room. Also the size of the speaker is great if you don’t have a lot of space on your console or set up for a speaker. I primarily use it for watching movies/tv shows and it sounds very good. I’ve noticed sounds in movies I’ve never heard before. I especially like the Dialogue mode which makes speech much easier to hear. The soundstage sounds great in video games too. You really do get an immersive sound even though it’s just a 3.0 system. The base is good and punchy enough for my intended use and space but if you have a large room you could always just purchase the Bose sub. The cons I have are that when you use the voice assistant Alexa she responds with glaringly loud voice as if she’s yelling at you. The only way around this is to lower your soundbar’s volume before asking the question. There is no in app way to adjust her response sound like you normally could for an Amazon device in the Alexa app and nothing in the Bose app either. That is really the only annoying quirk I’ve found so far. But in every other way it works as an Amazon Alexa device would. The only other con is that there is no Apple Music support built in the app but with Airplay 2 capability that is almost a non issue. It is a relatively new device from Bose that released at the end of this year so I am hopeful that they will give us more firmware updates that will fix this and improve other areas. I originally purchased the Sonos Beam but then decided to get this instead and I am very happy with my choice. It basically has all the same features as the Sonos Beam but with a sleeker look and build quality in my opinion. While sound is subjective I feel like you will not be disappointed by the Bose sound signature which you can change a bit to your preference with the EQ settings in the app, Something that you can not do with the Sonos. It is a dramatic upgrade over your TV’s built in speakers and I can’t believe it took me so long to get a soundbar for my set up. But I’m glad it did take so long because it allowed me to come across this new Bose gem.

Good quality
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very durable, excellent sound, compact and super loud. The only thing that I don’t like is about the updates if it’s not connected to a WiFi network the updates get jammed and it doesn’t work sometimes but with a couple a tricks and support from Bose it comes to life again

Powerful Sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to replace an older model Bose sound unit and checked out a number of soundbars from other manufacturers. My decision to go with the 300 was based largely on Bose’s reputation, my previous experience with the brand’s products, price, and the fact that this unit didn’t take up a great amount of space. I’ve been pleased with my purchase. Initial setup was a breeze - notwithstanding my criticism (see below). I agree with some of the criticisms (I.e., inadequate user manual). Users are pretty much left on their own to figure stuff out. Techies likely won’t have any problems, but technology-challenged folks like me may be frustrated. I stumbled on the controls for boosting bass and treble. You need to couple the unit with your iOS or android device. On the positive side, the sound is awesome. I’m a classical music fan and have boosted the sound volume several times. There hasn’t been any noticeable distortion. I’m still awed by the sound coming from such a small unit. I’ve considered purchasing the bass unit, but the price is off-putting.

A lot of sound for a small soundbar
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose seems to never let down in the sound department. Easy to install and setup. Sounds great in a decent size room. Music sounds great as well. Doesn’t take up a lot of real estate, so it literally hides in plain sight. A little iffy when you try to do Airplay, but overall, I’m happy with the purchase.

Perfect for a Shared House.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this sound bar for a bedroom in a shared house with 3 other people. My room both shares a wall with another and has a window to the outside of the house. Neither people in the front yard nor my housemate has ever claimed to have been able to hear sound leakage. To make it even better I have no sound dulling pads anywhere in my room on any of the walls. This sound bar does a phenomenal job throwing sound around a room. This is perfect for movies and video games. My first game with it was Cyberpunk 2077, and it sounded wonderful (all other problems aside) The remote is really nice for muting and pausing music on Spotify. The only minor gripe I have is that the remote is really small, and I am a male with large hands. So, it can get really awkward to hold it, and also can cause some issues around getting lost. Overall I love this sound bar and its perfect for a shared house.

Pretty Good Soundbar, I Would Purchase It Again.
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works good, sounds decent for basically a stern sound bar. You will definitely need the bass module, that made a huge improvement. I also added rear speakers, that helped as well, but the Bass Module made the bigger difference. The Amazon Alexa feature works just alright, it can be slow to respond, you can't add it to speaker groups with other Amazon branded products, that was a bummer since we have a a few more spread throughout the house. I mounted this under a TV from the wall mount, it looks good under there. Overall I would purchase this again, felt like it was actually good value, I have family who have bought other Soundbar brands and they are not as impressive and they only saved a little bit of money over the Bose.

You won’t be disappointed
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a really good investment, I can see why it is the NFL’s sound bar choice for watching sports on TV. It’s a huge improvement over the Bose sound bar that sits at the entry level for Bose sound bars. I think the 300 sounds better than the 500 because of its thick and chunky build. I had the opportunity to go in the 500 and because they were trying to pull off a slim luck, a compromise the sound quality, and the mid range and low notes sounded muffled and stressed, but the 300 always sounds so warm and robust and deep. The 300 is a perfect gift for a close friend and family member that likes to entertain at their home and watches plenty of games.

A Great Sound bar That Does It All
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sound bar might be a little bit pricey, just like every Bose product. But just like every Bose product, you get what you pay for. This sound bar sounds amazing, everytime I am using it I'm blown away to how realistic things sound. The bass is also very good for not having a subwoofer, if you want more you can turn it up with the EQ in the Bose app. The Bose app also allows you to play music through the speaker, connect your bose headphones and a whole lot more. One of my favorite things about this speaker is that you can set it up to turn on when it senses noise playing through it, you don't even have to grab for the remote! Overall, I would definitely recommend to a friend!
