Another Bose purchase for our home. Setup a little tricky at first but found that it was a firmware update needed on the Samsung TV. Once that was updated the hookup with the sounder was a breeze. Good sound, of course and like its size...worked well for setting on top of TV stand. Bought the subwoofer to go with it and that topped off the quality sound we wanted. Perfect investment!

Good soundbar for its size. Very impressive considering it’s small footprint. Sound quality is better than I expected. There is one thing to note though. If you run it via HDMI ARC, it doesn’t play nicely with Samsung TVs. Everything functions properly but there’s one flaw that’s very frustrating. When connected to a Samsung TV it invariably times out and will need to be reset to reestablish connection. I found one solution which improves it but it still times out occasionally. Go into the Bose app and disable the default sleep time (so it’s always on). It’s just about the only way to make it work with Samsung without having to reset it daily. At times the HDMI ARV CIC will do this thing where if you turn the TV off, it will turn it back on after about 30 seconds. In short, I recommend this for non-Samsung TVs. If you have a Samsung TV, move on. It’s tolerable if you configure it properly but it’ll just be too much of an inconvenience. Also not this unit will only work with a Bose bass module, so it’s impossible to use with an other non-Bose subwoofer. A huge drawback for me considering Bose bass modules are extremely disappointing.

The Bose Smart Soundbar 300 is an excellent product. It delivers quality sound and a great replacement for the standard TV speakers. Well designed and easy to setup. Automatic shutoff after a period of time of inactivity. I currently us it for bedroom. Wished the remote had a backlight.

like this soundbar, works well. App works with Pandora for music which we enjoy. One issue that is crazy: If we use the soundbar for music and then turn it off and start up the tv, the tv has no sound until you turn the soundbar to tv mode. This is annoying, its the only hassle keeping us with 2 remotes during tv watching----should be able to eliminate soundbar remote when watching tv.

We wanted the best sound we could get for the living room of a small apartment, both for TV and music, in a device less than 33" wide, so as not to hang off the edges of the cabinet the 40" TV sits on. We connected the Bose Soundbar 300 to the TV with HDMI-ARC, and are streaming from phones and tablets via Bluetooth and AirPlay. I also linked a Spotify account to the device itself. In all three scenarios, we are very satisfied with the audio quality. Control is mixed: Bluetooth connection is easier and faster than other speakers I have paired with, so the soundbar makes an excellent Bluetooth speaker. AirPlay is AirPlay: connection depends on the app you use. Connection to the TV is simple enough, and trouble-free, but it changed some of the TV's behavior: when I mute the TV from either the TV's remote or the Bose remote, changing the channel unmutes the TV. The Bose Music app is a bit frustrating to use: not intuitive, and I can't believe how many taps it takes to do anything at all. Just toggling the audio from normal to "dialog mode" requires at least five taps, and two more to get back to the main menu. I would prefer something like that to be a button on the remote, because I prefer dialog mode for some but not all TV content. Six music services are supported, but they all work differently and only six content presets can be set at any time. We didn't choose to use either voice assistant option, Alexa or Google. The soundbar might be easier to control from a voice assistant than it is from its remote and its app.

Excellent sound bar. Bose does not disappoint with it's sound quality. Very happy with this purchase. It's a little pricey but completely worth it. I have it paired with the Bose 500 sub and the sound is incredible. If you can, spend the extra money on this Bose sound bar. Even sounds good without the sub if you don't like the extra bass.

I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality of this soundbar. Easy to set up, the sound quality is amazing and the Bose app makes adjusting the settings a breeze! I added the Bass module which delivered very smooth deep bass. I would recommend picking up both at the same time. Im looking forward to adding the rear speakers soon.

I was debating on getting this soundbar as I was initially wanting to go big and get the Soundbar 700. However, I'm glad I saved my money and bought the Smart Soundbar 300 instead. I'm sure the 700 is a beast, but the 300 is also amazing! It can fit any room: bedroom, game room, living room, etc. It really does sound that good. I was able to use the money I saved (instead of buying the 700) and bought the base module for this and truly have a theater experience when watching movies. The remote is pretty basic and very tiny and would be best if you could program it to your tv remote. I mainly use AppleTV and I can't control the volume with my AppleTV remote unless I first press the bluetooth button on the Bose remote (once I added it as a bluetooth device to my AppleTV). Although I only had to add it as a bluetooth device once..I do have to press the bluetooth button on the Bose remote ever single time I watch TV (or else I'd have to use 2 remotes to watch tv). This is the only draw back in my opinion. Hopefully this issue will be resolved on the next gen. This is also great for listening to music. Definitely allows you to clearly hear the vocals as well as each individual instrument. Definitely allows you to hear the content the way it was produced. Lows and highs are very clear and combine for an overall pleasant listening experience.

Excellent sound quality. Easy to set up with the app. My hearing is not what is used to be, and even with hearing aids I sometimes struggle to hear TV dialog. With this sound at I hear dialog from our second TV better than I hear it through our expensive 5 channel sound system in the living room

Sound quality is very good for watching TV which is what we got it for ,so I cant remark about music quality. The mini remote is terrible.Small, unlit and you have to download the app in order to make audio adjustments.Shame on Bose for supplying such a remote for the price you pay for the unit.
