Adding this sound bar made a much bigger difference than we expected. Voices are much clearer and easier to understand. Music sounds like its coming from a stereo system. Special effect sounds really jump out at you. I highly recommend this bar if you want an significant upgrade from the weak speakers in your flat screen TV.

Excellent sound bar for my bedroom. Great clarity and love the atmos effect. I tried a few sound bars (Sonos) before I settled on this one and very pleased with my choice. Not a lot of base though if that's what you are looking for. The base module would likely help with that.

I very like Bose brand longtime ago, but I don’t have money to buy it. I try my best to get it and now I have it. It did not disappoint me. Thank alot Bose. I have soundbar600 and subwoofer 500. It very good sounds.

The Bose Smart Sound-bar 600 with Bose Subwoofer 500 is GREAT, I have an LG TV paired with it and the sound is fantastic! The main reason for the 3 stars is that my sound-bar came with a europlug, not a US plug. Not sure why it happened but I had to spend an extra $25 on a converter or I could have bought the US cable, I went with the converter. App is fairly easy to use for setup and control but the option to use the remote and then the ability to integrate into to my cable remote is a plus. I gave Quality a 2 to help explain my overall rating of 3, someone drop the ball somewhere along the line and I had to spend a few extra dollars and time for the wrong power connection. I could have exchanged the sound-bar but the only other 600 had a couple dents on the box that I did not want to deal with if I ran into problems from damage.

Overall love my Bose sound bar, bought back in April with the subwoofer. This past holidays had movies for the family playing honestly felt like I was in the Movie theater, everything sounds crystal clear.

This is IMO the best soundbar on the market. Very clear and the app lets you adjust soumd to your ear.

Verdict: If you want an easy solution that delivers excellent sound, with perfect app integration and smart speaker functionality, all in a single package, the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 is for you. This Bose soundbar certainly feels like more than a simple soundbar… it is a versatile system for great movie-watching, music-listening, and convenience, particularly if you don’t have space for a larger system with a dedicated bass and satellite speakers. Initial impressions. It is a nice-looking soundbar with speakers on the front, top, and sides. It feels heavy. The soundbar isn’t as wide as our existing soundbar, so it should fit more easily than other soundbars between the legs of a TV. Included with the soundbar are a remote control, an HDMI cable, a fiberoptic cable, a power cable, and two small manuals. Setup. When I plugged-in the soundbar, I accidentally unplugged the TV, so while I was troubleshooting the power for the TV, it took me a while to open the Bose Music app to start the setup… so when I tried to setup the soundbar, the app didn’t recognize it. I unplugged the soundbar for a minute, then powered the soundbar again and opened the app, and finally the app was able to complete the setup. So, it looks like the soundbar has a fairly short setup period when it first comes on, I would guess maybe 5 minutes or less. If you encounter a setup issue with the app, try to unplug the speaker for a minute and then run the app setup again. App. The app is useful to connect to the speaker, manage basic functions, and customize some settings (name of the speaker, voice assistant setup, equalizer). The best part about the app is how easy it is to pull up and manage functions that are normally controlled by the remote control. Actually, the experience is better on the app because you can tell the volume level or the input source. When using the remote, the LED on the speaker will light up, but there is not display on the remote or soundbar that indicate the volume level or input source, so you are operating blindly. We find ourselves using the app all the time now to switch inputs, adjust the volume, and play music. The app integration with the functionality of the soundbar is smooth and just works. We love it. Movie performance. For a soundbar-only package, sound is exceptional. The soundbar is plenty loud for us; we never raised the volume past 75% on anything we watched on TV. The highs and mids are rich, powerful, and clear. The lows are somewhat lacking **if** comparing to a package that has a dedicated bass unit. Our existing soundbar has a large separate bass unit, so we have certain expectations for a movie experience, and a lot of that experience comes through the lows. The lows in this soundbar are not absent by any means, in fact they are quite nice at proximity, but they don’t carry as far, and obviously you won’t get lows that vibrate the floors with just a soundbar. If you are going from TV only speakers to this soundbar-only setup, I suspect you will find the lows, and the whole range of sounds, excellent. The surround performance is really impressive, with the soundbar leveraging the different positions of all the speakers to create a great surround experience. This is very well done for a soundbar-only setup. We like this soundbar enough to look into purchasing a compatible base unit to get a more complete “movie theater” experience. Music performance. Playing music on this soundbar is fantastic! The sound is full, rich, and clear. The bass performance is better with music than with a movie, I think because the expectations are different. When near the soundbar, the bass is exquisite. From farther away, the base is still very good, but with some expected decline compared to the highs and mids. The soundbar is sufficient to fill a medium-to-large room with great sound without a problem. Features. The inclusion of Airplay on this soundbar adds a lot to the experience because it’s so easy to send music to it without having to manipulate Bluetooth settings. This is the first soundbar attached to a TV that we regularly use to listen to music. From the app, you can also select music form one of the compatible music apps, and it will just start playing; we were using the integrated Amazon music app. Chromecast and Spotify connect are also integrated. The soundbar also features built-in voice assistants, but this feature is not yet available at the time of this writing. When it becomes available through an upcoming software update, it will add even more functionality to this speaker. We love voice assistants, so we will be using this feature from the soundbar whenever we are in that room. This soundbar is a great addition to a living room where a family spends a lot of time because it can be used to watch TV, play music on a board-game night, or get help form a voice assistant. Bose SimpleSync is also included, which is nice to easily move sound from the TV to Bose headphones when the kids fall asleep watching TV and you want to keep watching something. Things I love: - Exceptional sound for music and movie, considering that this is a soundbar-only setup - Easy setup through the app - Very nice app integration… it’s the first time we use an app regularly like a remote control - It works well with our TV. It turns on/off with the TV and the TV remote can control the soundbar volume - Airplay is a gamechanger! We now use this soundbar daily for music in the living room - SimpleSync is a really convenient feature for moving sound to Bose headphones Things I don’t love: - Basic LEDs in the form of numbers or letters on the speaker to indicate power status, volume level, and input source would have been very helpful. If we don’t use the app, we are operating the soundbar blindly - The soundbar performs well overall, but it would be unbeatable with a dedicated bass unit. I understand that Bose is a premium brand, but at this price point, it’s a bit difficult to accept a setup without a dedicated base unit. I think I understand the reasoning… not everyone wants, or has space for a bass unit, so better to offer the soundbar-only setup at a better price, and let people buy the bass unit separately if they want it Overall, this is a very nice soundbar, and certainly the most capable soundbar-only setup we have experienced over many years. While I wish it had a dedicated bass unit for enhanced movie-watching, this do-it-all soundbar still delivers excellent movie, music, and smart speaker experiences. At this price range, I would give this sound bar 4 stars compared to units that have a dedicated bass unit. Compared to other soundbar-only systems, this is hands-down 5 stars. So this averages to 4.5, and I’ll round up to five given the great features and app integration. If you want an easy solution for great all-around sound and convenient features, I recommend this Bose soundbar.

You have to use the bose app to adjust equalizer but over all excellent sound very happy we went with this!!!
