Initial Review: I just returned my LG SK10Y Dolby Atmos Soundbar (with surround speakers) few days ago and bought one of these Bose Soundbar 700 with the Bass Module. I'm waiting to receive the surround speakers tomorrow. So far... the sound from the Soundbar and the Bass is already much better than what the LG Soundbar provided. I'll update the review once I've tested the Soundbar little more. Amazon Alexa in the Bose Soundbar also picks voice (even while anything is being played through the Soundbar) very effortlessly.

THE BOSE SOUNDBAR 700 WITH SUB-WOOFER AND REAR SURROUND SOUND SPEAKERS PRODUCE A SOUND THAT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! EXCELLENT SURROUND SOUND!! THE REAR SPEAKERS ARE SMALL; SO ONE MAY ASK WHY PURCHASE THESE? THE ANSWER IS THAT EACH REAR SPEAKER HAS ADDITIONAL ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT BOOSTING EACH WIRELESS SPEAKER TO CREATE SOUND OF A MUCH LARGER SPEAKER THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE ROOM. FOR ADDITIONAL ROOMS YOU CAN ADD BOSE 500 SPEAKERS WHICH ARE LARGER AND HAVE AN EXCELLENT SOUND; HOWEVER, THE REAR SPEAKERS FUNCTION ON ALL APPLICATIONS; THE BOSE 500 SPEAKERS HAVE ADDITIONAL BASE SOUND WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING BUT IS LIMITED TO THE BOSE APPLICATION WHICH IS NOT AS COMPREHENSIVE AS IT SHOULD BE. THE SOUNDBAR SYSTEM WITH THE SUB-WOOFER AND REAR SPEAKERS FUNCTION ON ALL APPS INDEPENDENTLY AND TV WITH EASE! I SET UP SONOS AND THE BOSE SYSTEM IN MY HOUSE. BOTH SYSTEMS HAVE PLUSES AND MINUSES; HOWEVER, THE BOSE SOUND SYSTEM SOUNDS ALOT BETTER FOR STEREO HOME THEATER QUALITY AND THAT SOUND CAN NOT BE BEAT!! I FOUND THE SONOS SYSTEM SOUNDED A LITTLE TINNY (MORE FOR JUST TV SURROUND SOUND); HOWEVER, IT DOES HAVE A MORE STREAMLINED SYSTEM FOR MULTIPLE ROOMS THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE FOR APPS. MAYCOL (PRONOUNCED MICHAEL) IN TAMPA DID A GREAT JOB AND HIS EXPERTISE WAS IMPRESSIVE IN BOTH SOUND SYSTEMS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BOSE SYSTEM IF YOU WANT A SYSTEM THAT PARALLELS EXPENSIVE HOME THEATER SYSTEMS FOR SOUND QUALITY!

This is a great sounding sound bar. However this had me re-educate myself to learn ARC technology. Once I learned it then took some time to learn all my components. After it was all connected and I used the audio setup feature this system performed way above what I thought for a sound bar. I really liked the Bose app that connected my music apps. I never really played a lot of music thru my A/V receiver but now I do with the sound bar as the sound it produces is fantastic. I really like Bose and this solidified my thoughts about there quality and performance.

Like many, I was torn between the Bose and Sonos brands. I decided on the Bose 700 due to having Blutooth capability and Alexa compatibility. I didn't think I would use the Alexa app, however I'm finding myself using it more and more. I only share this because the Soundtouch 300 doesn't offer Alexa compatibility. After setting it up I tried it without the 700 Sub and was pretty impressed with the bass produced by the Soundbar. I then added the 700 Subwoofer and it took the listening experience to a new level. I went ahead and bought the rear surround speakers and can honestly say this is one of the best quality wireless 5.1 systems that I've ever heard. You will be hard pressed to find a better sounding system this easy to setup. I have a dedicated theater room with over $10k in equipment and wanted a simple system in our family room. This is the perfect answer and no regrets.

I have had a Bose Accoustimass 10 surround system for a few years and have really enjoyed it, but we moved to a new house that has a very open concept and my SO won't allow me to run wires all over the place. After some research, I thought I'd test out the Bose 700 soundbar and Bose surround speakers. Downloaded the mobile app, plugged in a couple cables, and was ready to go into 15 minutes. Works great with the HDMI-ARC connection on my Sharp TV. The mobile app was super easy to setup and use. It allows to you customize your sound EQ and music apps. I haven't figured out how to get Alexa to work yet, but that's not a big deal to me. While the highs & mids are crystal clear, I was blown away by the BASS! I'm not sure where it's even coming from, but I don't need to buy the subwoofer. This system is truly amazing & looks great.

Whether you're playing video games, watching 4K HD movies, or streaming music, this soundbar is basically the cherry on top. Sound is extremely crisp & has a sleek design. Bought this with the subwoofer (gotta complete the set)

-Looks The soundbar is crafted extremely well and very solid in terms of hardware feel. Its made of aluminum and have a black glass top which makes them super stout and easy to keep clean. The remote is also very nice and with the Bose Music app you’ll have your Smart TV, Blu Ray, PS4, XBox, etc., all configured and working from this single remote in no time. -Connections The soundbar connection is limited to input sources either through the HDMI e-ARC/ARC or optical-in. With these two connections your limited to what you can hook up to this soundbar. Audio devices can also be connected and streamed via bluetooth. I paired this soundbar with a pair of Bose Surround Speakers which easily connected through the setup of Bose Music App. -Setup It's not difficult, it just simply takes time to do, but one of the more time consuming soundbars to set up. It took me around 45+ minutes to fully set up the soundbar. The entire set up process is done with the Bose Music app that you'll need to download onto a smartphone/tablet before the soundbar even works. Once you install the app, you'll be guided through the steps to set up a bose account, connect to your wifi, update the soundbar with current updates, connect to your Amazon account to use Amazon Alexa, use the AdaptIQ headset to help optimize the soundbar to the acoustics of your room, and set up the universal remote control with your television. I still have issues connecting my Alexa with the soundbar, but that’s not the main reason I purchased the system. I still use my Alexa dot in the background. -Sound Let’s not forget the whole reason for the soundbar. Just how does it sound? I've heard and looked at dozen of soundbars, and I have to say the Bose 700 ranks up there as one of the best in audio quality for music, television, and cinema. Sound is rich and balanced and delivers clean, clear sound. Bose's audio engineers did a superb job. Crisp highs come through nice and sparkly. Mids are accurately rendered, while upper and mid bass come through tight with power and punch without any boominess. I was surprised that the highs and mids still come through crisp and clear even after adjusting the bass to the maximum on the soundbar. When paired with BOSE SURROUND SPEAKERS you will definitely NOT be disappointed! Well done Bose. -Bose Music App As mentioned previous this app is needed to get the whole system setup and working, along with connecting the BOSE SURROUND SPEAKERS to your new soundbar. With the app, the treble, bass, Center Channel and Rear Surround Speakers levels can be adjusted in fine increments of 10 from -100 to +100. You can share or make it Public so anyone connected to your WIFI network can add it to their account and control it with the Music App. The App also allows you to setup the remote to link to your TV, DVD or anything else that needs a remote to eliminate remotes laying around. You can also store up to six of your favorite preset music stations in the soundbar using the app. The app will also allow you to connect to a select few music apps via wifi. The selection includes iHeartRadio, Pandora, Spotify premium, Amazon music, Deezer, SiriusXM **Update The Soundbar did an update and Alexa updated and is working!! It allows you to turn your TV on and off through command and control the volume. Also was able to connect the DVD through the Bose remote. All in all I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an Awesome soundbar!!

I bought the soundbar with the bass module (which I highly recommend. Before I bought this soundbar I bought the Bose Soundbar 500 with the Bass Module 500, but felt that that the Soundbar 500 though sounding good, lacked clear mids which made the Soundbar sound small. Enter the Soundbar 700 which has a larger soundstage and a much fuller sound. I can't say that I was blown away, but I was very impressed with the sound. The mids and highs are nice and crisp and the bass is nice and tight. Voices are clearly heard and I would say that this soundbar shines the most while listening to music. The build quality is also very impressive and elegant. However, beware of the reflective glass surface! At certain angles I've noticed some reflections that were a bit distracting. It's also really easy to smudge or leave finger prints on but a microfiber cloth provided does wipe them off easily. Other than that this is definitely a well-built soundbar and very elegant. It definitely looks the part of an expensive yet minimalistic soundbar, The remote is pretty good, but I don't find myself using it quite often other then when changing inpust. I like using the LG Magic Remote so for me at least Bose's Universal Remote doesn't add much value to the soundbar. HOWEVER...there are some cons. One of the biggest cons was Alexa. Alexa is a heavily marketed feature for the soundbar, and is the main difference between the Soundbar 700 and the Soundtouch 300, but for some reason Alexa won't respond to any of my voice commands, I've tried everything but to no avail. Another Con that I notice is while using native TV apps, (I have an LG OLED 55" C8PUA), such as Netflix or Amazon Prime or Youtube, the sound is flat and not very clear. Other than those cons, the Soundbar 700 is indeed the best soundbar money can buy...if money isn't issue. TLDR: Sound - 9 / 10 Build - 8.5 / 10 Price - 5 / 10 Features - 4 / 10

Sounds amazing, first sound bar I e ever had so I’m not an expert when it comes to what’s missing or what they should add. But I do know that the remote is SUPERRRRR glitchy. Sometimes you’ll get no response from it. Had a friend that has the same 700 boss sound bar and he has the same issue. The remote is terrible. It’s a very high quality remote that feels amazing but man, the lack of execution gets annoying.

A little pricey for a small speaker but sound is very good . Easy to sync on bose apps. Disadvantage all sound and balance control are on the apps nothing on the unit itself. Soundbar 700 is perfect with this subwoofer . You can hear all the instrument in the music very clear . Vocals sound natural. Playing music is so good high ,low and median are perfectly balanced .

I have tried this soundbar for about 1.5 weeks now. I tried it with music first and it was absolutely amazing. It had really nice bass and the clarity was amazing. I then tried it with my xbox one x playing Cod black ops 4. Unfortunately it was not very good at all. The sound seemed off and crackling a bit as well and only had the volume up about a quarter of the way. I finally tried it with movies. It handled decent. The clarity of voices was good but could be paired with the subwoofer to get that extra bass response for the big explosions. The Alexa could be better as well. She doesn't respond as well as a simple Amazon echo. Also the system didn't come with very good instructions. I had to look on Google for most of the setup. So in all it's a decent system for movies but does a great job with music and Alexa could be better.

I have a "smart" home centered on Amazon Alexa and this soundbar is a "smart" Alexa-friendly device. With this being said, this product first requires you to sign up for a Bose account... uurrrggghhh.. And you need the Bose Music app and wifi to setup and control this soundbar. And it requests for access to Amazon account for Alexa interaction. "Smartness" come with a price. This soundbar has only 2 types of source inputs ; HDMI ARC or optical digital audio. Therefore this may not be a good fit for older TVs or A/V receivers, etc. It comes with a high-quality sleek-looking universal remote control. With Bose Music app, I set up access to my Pandora account and able to stream Pandora channels on this soundbar. This has the trademark of a Bose audio crystal-clear quality. With an entertainment environment about 12feet by 12 feet, even without the 7.1 channel audio system, this soundbar by itself does whip out clear audio. I love this soundbar and highly recommend this!!!

This sound bar has amazing crisp, clear sound with great mid range and surprisingly good bass For a small speaker, (added the subwoofer which completely it all!). By far the best clarity and sound when I listened to the demo at Best Buy. I was sold the second I heard it!

This soundbar is amazing. I love the sound. The base is amazing and the soundbar is very stylish. I am so pleased with Bose. i have wanted a soundbar for along time. It is high quality and amazing, I will be buying Bose products again. Love it!

The Sound bar 700 is awesome. Can't say anything negative about this product. Excellence once again Bose !!!. Keep up the great engineering... Definitely pair up with the subwoofer. Without it it's like wearing one shoe...

So to start I never leave negative reviews because I’m mostly lazy, But this was an absolutely frustrating situation. My universal remote doesn’t work properly and changes channels down super fast like the button is stuck. First they sent me a new remote (great) but that didn’t work. Then I updated and that didn’t work either. The next step was the repair the sound bar. TLDR: they will not replace the 3 month old soundbar that is defective and expect me to wait a month+ for them to fix something that’s defective. I tried explaining I don’t want a 3 month older repaired 700 dollar sound bar. I will also state the quality is superb and I live our system. But the customer service in fixing the defective models is appalling. You would think spending 1600-1700 dollars for a smart home system would net you a competent service department with the intentions of doing right by the customers. If you get a good model you will be happy, but if your unlucky like me buy a Sonos or some other brand willing to work with it out with you as a paying customer. They made absolutely no effort in working with me. Would not recommend.

HW-N950/ZA $ 1,399.98 vs Bose 700 $1,799.97 (SB$799.99 + Bass Module 700 Subwoofe $699.99 + Surround Speakers $299.99) Hello, I need your opinion to buy the best sounbar with Dolby Atmos and DTS-X that has rear speakers. I want to buy a soundbar and I can not decide. I really like Bose 700 with Subwoofer and two surround sound speakers but it does not have Dolby Atmos or DTS-X, but I see it has an excellent sound quality and nobody complains about that. On the other hand there is the HW-N950 / ZA with Dolby Atmos and DTS-X but there are many comments about the sound quality and it shuts down after 5 minutes of inactivity and does not have the standby option. please your comments, I want to buy this black friday

its been 3 weeks now that I have been using this Bose® - Soundbar 700 - Black.. I am a Bose fanatic and I am high expectation with this product and it did not fail me.. Honestly at first, I had a hard time connecting it to wifi and it took me over hours try to figure it out... After over 2 hours of connecting and downloading, it was just worth it and the sound is exceptional.. I also downloaded the Boss app on my phone and boy it was soo easy to use... I can even listen my spotify music through our sound system... All I can say is I am a proud user of Bose and will continue patronizing Bose as long as I can afford it.. Happy camper!
