We bought this as a replacement to our small portable Bluetooth speaker that we used to connect to the TV via Bluetooth. Let's just say this is the best thing we could've got to replace our portable speaker, no more "please charge low battery". We got the whole system, the soundbar and the subwoofer but this works really good without the subwoofer especially in a nyc apartment. The one trouble we had is connecting the Google or Alexa assistant

This sound bar provides quality surround sound in digital format and the set up was relative easy for this 62 year old man.

The sound bar has a great sound. Easy to set up with the Bose 700 Bass module. Got it cheaper as an open box model.

The sound bar is amazing with awesome sound quality, and the sound does not distort even at high volume . That is something that i alleyways expect from Bose and i'm never disappointment ed. The only reason i'm giving 4 starts and not 5 is that i was hoping for a surround sound immersive experience of a home theater. While it comes close. Its not completely a home theater. Maybe adding the wireless speakers will help. THough if you are looking for a sounds bar. Dont look anywhere else. Once you have heard it on bose you will never want anything else.

Sounds amazing, crisp and clear. No distortion at high volumes. Unfortunately, even at this price point it didn’t bring the bass module and it could definitely use it. I like my movies loud and my walls to shake. This thing can make it loud but no walls are shaking. So if you have $1600 to spend get both at once you will not be disappointed. It will be a plus fir music as well. Love that it has Amazon Alexa built in too. I would’ve given it 5 stars if not for the bass module.

We bought this bar when we decided to upgrade our TV room. We previously had the soundtouch 300 bar which worked really well but moved that to our bedroom. I was hoping to notice a difference and we did. The sound really fills the room and we love the ease of connecting the subwoofer and surround speakers and controlling them in the app. It's nice to have Alexa built in since we can use Amazon music o the device without missing a beat.

The sound is crystal clear and you hear all of the details. The sound is above and beyond also easy to adjust. Although the subwoofer is NOT included with this purchase it is HIGHLY recommended to purchase the Boss Soundbar 700 with the Bass Module 700. Yes, it is on the expensive side as they are each about $700 but trust me it is WORTH IT. When you purchase these items together, make sure you play the "Game Of Thrones" theme song to sample.

You can read about Bose's audio quality from a bunch of different sources ranging from scathing to amazing. I can tell you that I have several "Hi-Fi" setups in my home ranging from full Atmos theater to computer and this soundbar is among the best in terms of construction and audio. From the moment you unbox it you can tell it's a quality product, and watching the first 30 minutes of Skyfall and Spectre confirmed that I made the right choice. My only problem with this unit is the setup. It requires you to download an app and connect the unit to the internet. Do NOT use WiFi for this. You don't need the unit connected to a TV to do the original setup which include a firmware update. Take the unit to a room where you can connect an ethernet cable to it. I let the system try updating on WiFi first and it sat there updating for 4 hours (downloading) before I stopped it and connected it to ethernet in a different room. I have gigabit internet with a gigabit WiFi mesh setup so it's not an issue with my setup. You can read some pretty terrible reviews about the updating issues with this unit and they all seem to stem from updating over WiFi. Also, to note, if you have an LG TV with the home button on the remote...the Bose remote's home button does not work with LG TV's for some reason and it's a known issue. With ARC you won't need to use the Bose remote, but you should at least know that going into this purchase.

The installation and setup was a breeze. The sound is awesome and the 700 sound bar works great with Alexa!

The Bose sound bar puts out sound hitting you from all angles. Just awesome. Also has easy set up.

great speaker. just needs the sub to make it AMAZING! had some difficulties with it losing pairing. but overall good.

Good quality, sounds good but is quite expensive I had a friend with the jbl600 I guess and and is better option

I purchased a Samsung surround system at first that had the subwoofer and sound bar in one package for approximately $280. I wasn’t satisfied with the sound at all. I took it back and got the Bose 700 sound at. I also purchase the Bose 700 base modular which is separate. A major difference in the price, but most importantly, a major difference in sound quality! If you want a true theater surround sound system , this will do it!

This is a good sounding bar, but bose was never competitive when it comes to price. Much better sounding than the 500.

Relatively easy to set up and has great sound. The universal remote is comfortable to use and has a nice finish on it.

This is one great soundbar. We use it to fill the house with music as well. It combined with the subwoofer is great.

I love this soundbar. You definitely need the bass module for full affect but the quality is great
