Elegant and Powerful!!! If you are looking for an all-in-one solution for your listening needs, then you came to the right place. Bose Smart Soundbar 900 is the perfect solution for quality audio in a relatively compact design, and now voice enabled. So, lets go over some of the features and PROS and CONS of the Bose Smart Soundbar 900. Unboxing and Setup: Bose has made the setup process for the Smart Soundbar. Out of the box you get the Bose 900 Smart Soundbar with the very nice glass finish on top with cut outs for the upward firing transducers. You will also get a power cord, optical cable, HDMI cable and a remote control with batteries. To start the setup process you will need to download the Bose Music application to start the setup process and the app with guide you through the rest and it is very simple. The app will help you connect to WIFI, Bluetooth and either to Google or Alexa. I linked my soundbar to my Google home and the process was flawless. In my testing of the soundbar there were certain features that were unavailable at the moment but will be available in the near future with an update. The soundbar measures in at about 41.1” Wide, 4.2” Deep and 2.3” Tall with very elegant looking glass top with cut outs for the transducers one on each side and a mute button for the built-in microphone for Google or Alexa assistant. The Soundbar has an aluminum grill for the speakers and the base and it is wall mountable, but the mounts are not included, and being a Bose product you know you are getting a quality product. Features: So, unlike its predecessor the new Bose 900 comes with Dolby Atmos Audio, Voice enabled, and the stream content such as the news, radio, music and much more in the Bose Music app. This Bose sound bar will provide an immersive 7-channel sound even from Non-Atmos encoded content. The soundbar also has Updated echo-canceller to handle additional Atmos height channels. The smart sound bar includes inputs for an Optical cable, HDMI e-arc, IR range extender, DATA input, Additional Bass Input, and is also compatible with Bose Bass Modules and additional Bose speakers to create multi-room sound. My Experience: I have been using this Smart Soundbar for about a week now watching TV, movies, listening to music, listening to my favorite radio station and even gaming and let me tell you the experience is totally out of this world. You can create theater quality sound at home with this speaker while watching your favorite movie. My family and I watched the Avengers again and this time around the experience was a lot better. The sound totally surrounds you and you can actually feel and hear the sound coming from different angles of the room giving you that movie theater feels right at home. The sound is clear, crisp and precise and the bass is just right, not overwhelming where you can’t hear the dialogue. There is an option to turn on the dialogue mode. the Dialogue mode adjust the tonal balance of your speakers to improve the clarity of spoken words in movies, tv shows and your favorite podcasts. Using the voice assistant worked out great as well. I did read some review of the Bose Smart Soundbar 700, and it seems like Bose has corrected or made improvements to the issues from the 700 series. My favorite feature was the ability to connect multiple Bose speakers to create multiroom sound and the app made the process to add multiple speakers very easy. Overall, I could not find anything that I was not happy with, if you do happen to find this soundbar on display somewhere I would definitely recommend that you check it. You will not be disappointed.
