I was a little skeptical at first cause read some people complaining about lack of bass but in my opinion the bass in this little baby is adequate, I was surprise how good it was. The sound is clear, you can hear every single drop, effect, voice. Incredible. Perfect for my room which is small. If you have a large room I suggest you look into the Bose Cinemate 15, The Bose Solo 5 works best for smaller rooms, comes with Universal control. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

Sound quality good, but remote annoying

Maybe there is a way to do it (and its not making the bose the main remote, because it does not have all the features as the cable remote), but it is not obvious or intuitive.

It is not made to shake the room. In fact you can't even add a floor base. But it does have enough base to make a movie sound very good. The only thing I did not like is it does not come with a HDMI input, so you have to use the remote that comes with it. You can set your TV and cable box to the Bose remote, but if you have to have your remote then you will have to use the Bose remote.
