The new televisions, while sporting an amazing picture, come up short on sound. This sound bar has a setting which accentuates the mid range so I can hear the spoken word decidedly better and that has made all the difference in my enjoyment of programming

It is not made to shake the room. In fact you can't even add a floor base. But it does have enough base to make a movie sound very good. The only thing I did not like is it does not come with a HDMI input, so you have to use the remote that comes with it. You can set your TV and cable box to the Bose remote, but if you have to have your remote then you will have to use the Bose remote.

They are large, bulky, have many pieces and are in general too cumbersome. BOSE Solo 5 incorporates the bass into a single piece that connects easily, doesn't take much space, and provides the highest quality sounds, dialog, music that you can ask for! Simplicity is best!
