I does improve the sound compare to the TV but on the pricy side. Does not deliver typical Bose sound but it small and easy to install. I will guess there are some other bars at a lower price that will sound similar on most cases. Overall I’m happy with the purchase and I got an open item at a more reasonable price. The remote control its almost the size of the bar

We bought this to go along with our 4K smart TV. The soundbar is awesome as all Bose speakers are, plus it lets us connect through Bluetooth for music playback. The universal remote is great and does most of what we need. There are some actions in some of the apps (e.g. Hulu) that do not have a corresponding button on the universal remote, but I would say it can do 90% of the stuff we need it to do.

This product was just as it was described It was easy to set up with the wonderful and helpful tech support people from Bose. Now we can hear the TV Then life got a lot happier

Majority of my audio devices are bose. I received a soundbar for Christmas that wasn't that great and paired with everything except my tv. In my heart I knew I wanted a soundbar and I wouldn't settle for anything less than a bose. The universal remote that came with it paired with my tv and cable box within min. The setup was really easy because it came with an optical cord. One cord that can only go in one port one way. You can't mess it up.

This sound bar is simply terrific. The sound exceeded my expectations. I own other Bose products and have not ever been disappointed, always very pleased. It was so easy to install and the remote was easy to program. This universal remote does the job of three remotes, what a convenience! If I can install the sound bar and program the remote, anyone can.

Amazing sound out of this little sound bar - yes, it is smaller than MOST soundbars on the market. The bluetooth capabilities of this thing are above all others out there.

Very easy to set up and sounds great. I have it connected to an older LG plasma tv. Some Commercials that you are used to hearing, sound very different. That’s the easiest way to notice the difference. Lots more bass, without being overpowering. Also bought it because of the Bluetooth ability. Besides music, I sometimes listen to WHL games and this is great. Would buy again.

As long as you understand what you are getting with the Solo 5 you'll be happy with it. It is not like most soundbars, it does not even try to mimic Surround Sound and it doesn't have subwoofer to deliver a lot of bass. What it does is improve upon your TVs speakers and make voices much easier to understand. For me this was a big plus. It can also be used as a a Bluetooth speaker for music which I find convenient. However the best thing about the Solo 5 is the Universal remote that comes with it. It is the best I ever had, it even works with my TiVo. What makes it so good is it has a lot of selections so it will do more than adjust the volume on your TV, it makes it easy to open the TV menu because it has dedicated menu button. If you like Bose speakers, which never produce a lot of bass, you'll be happy with the Solo system. The high quality remote is an added plus.

Love it great sound and hooks up to tv very easy and great Bluetooth

I was attracted to this product because of its size (which is perfect for 40" tvs) and the in-store demo. This soundbar sounds great for tv and movies, but I was unimpressed when I streamed music via bluetooth to it. It's not quite worth the $250 price tag to me, the remote is too cumbersome and the actual unit doesn't have any buttons located on it. I am almost as impressed with the sound the Vizio and Insignia soundbars priced at $100 produce.

This is a solid (and simple) little sound bar with decent bass that will instantly upgrade your tv’s audio. Not powerful enough for a big room but ideal for a guest bedroom or sun room. I first tried in tv room but its just not strong enough for a large room or one with high ceilings. I moved it down to the sun room tv and its perfect there. Use its Bluetooth for streaming music too. Easy with 1 button.

My Bose soundbar is terrific! It fills up my big family room, which is great when you consider how small it is, and the fact that it has a built in sub woofer. It is very easy to connect my blue tooth devices to. I would have given it an 5 star review if he actually told you what the volume is set at. I have not found any way to know how high or low the volume is set. Other then that - terrific sound bar!

We love our new Bose sound bar. It was easy to set up and makes a huge difference in our TV viewing experience. Dialog is very easy to understand and we still get great clarity and detail for listening to music. The universal remote is also a big upgrade for our home, though my wife hasn’t quite gotten the hang of it.

I live in an apartment so I didn't need a separate subwoofer. This sound bar is perfect for my space. Excellent bass for movies without worrying about the neighbors feeling it in the walls. There is also a dialogue only mode for when you're watching the news and things of that nature. The remote is universal so you can program it to turn everything on and off at the same time. Unfortunately it gets out of sync sometimes. I don't like that it doesn't have a volume indicator. 1-10 type thing. Just a little light that flashes. It's a little pricey but bose usually is. It definitely has the bose sound.

I put this in my shop so clients could hear the music or the television, over the clippers. It has beautiful sound quality, and was worth every bit of its cost.

I like this sound bar a lot! I tried the Sony sound bar w/subwoofer first, and tho the bar sounded nice it was quite a bit longer and didn't look nice for size n layout of my front room.. so w/that nor did the subwoofer, it hardly made noise and was too big a piece to just be there in the room.. the Bose Solo 5 is perfect!! Sounds great and has bass included which can be adjusted separately from the sound itself.

This is the 2nd Bose speaker I bought! One in my living room and one in my RV. That’s how good it is! It’s so easy to install you just plug it in, attach a cable to the tv (provided) and it works!! The sound is great! It sounds real close to full surround sound! For the simplicity and the price and the great sound, I would defiantly recommend it!

Never had a Bose but always wanted one. Did not disappoint me. Wow! Hear sounds in two rooms away that sound like they're right next to me. Bass is excellent.
