Bought this to help my 85 YO mother hear voices more clearly on the TV. Definitely has helped with better base and much clearer voices. She can use the TV without the Sub-titles now! Unfortunately, you have to turn it on with a separate remote and then change it to the clear voice setting every time you turn on the TV. The FIOS remote doesn't have a way for me to set this up. OTW its a nice, fairly inexpensive solution. For a non-tech, like my mom it's a problem.

Great sound for television. Makes a major difference for hearing dialogue. Friends who saw it in use went out & bought one too after visiting.

The smallest sound bar with the biggest bang for your buck. Easy to install, takes up little space. Bose is the leader in sound technology with another winner in this category. If you have a state of the art television and are not impressed with the sound(like most TVs), this sound bar makes a world of difference. It is not so big but and produces an unbelievable level of sound,

Easy to hook up and pretty intuitive remote. Had it up and working in less than 10 minutes. It’s for my mom who doesn’t hear the low pitched voices on tv - and she could understand every word immediately, without having to blast the volume. Plus the remote can be programmed to run everything including the DVR. Two thumbs up.

I'm delighted with the performance of this small device for production of a bold sound and broad acoustic range, all in an attractive package.

We wanted a little louder, a little crisper sound to go with our new 65-inch curved TV, so we bought this. We thought the price was right, we like the brand, and the sound is much better than what the TV will do on its own, especially the base sounds. Adding one of these sound bars will further enhance the theater-like experience of watching one of these curved TVs. Recommended.

I was impressed with the sound this puts out for such a small unit. Most soundbars come with subwoofers but I wanted to avoid that for simplicity and without a great place to put on in my living room. I wish it had buttons and better displays on it. It just has a small light that blinks and changes colors depending on what you're doing.

This soundbar does not have a subwoofer, nor does it have an HDMI input. It's not intended to compete with high-end solutions that provide new-home theater performance. It is a compact, full range speaker that will substantially step-up the sound you get from a built-in TV speaker. Good clarity and loud enough to fill a room, the sound bar is about 2 ft long which may solve issues with placement. It does offer optical, RCA, and mini plug inputs, along with Bluetooth. One big plus is that it comes with a large universal remote. This solved a problem that I had with the system I was hooking up. This makes operation of the soundbar completely transparent. Use the remote to turn on the TV and the soundbar powers on too. While it seems there are few controls, theres a variety of configuration opttions available. The indicators for volume and tones are a couple of lights on the front panel. Not real intuitive, but it works. This is a great choice if you are on a budget, don't need home theater quality sound, and want to keep things simple.

While dropping $270 some odd dollars may seem like a lot, considering what your getting its not at all. The sound is great, and hooking it up via bluetooth is a breeze. the only downside is you don't know what the number volume its set on so make sure if your watching it in the morning to turn it down before turning it off, you may find it blasting when you turn it on at night!

So many sound bars are either super large or super expensive, which is why I was so glad I found this one. We needed a less-wide bar with decent sound and this worked perfectly! Sounds infinitely better than the built-in TV sound, yet doesn't overwhelm the counter it rests on. Perfect for our use-case and perhaps perfect for yours as well....

This sound bar had all that I needed. It was compact, a single unit and great sound. It hooked up very well and was straightforward to install. So far I have had no issues and it was easy to Sy how with my TiVo mini remote. The only criticism I would have is after I installed it I lost the on screen volume indicator.

Love it, It was easy to hook up and sounds great. We hear things now that you will never hear from the normal sound from your TV. Love it.

As with all things Bose, great sound with a small footprint. Set up was easy and it's easy to use. Easy to set up so it turns off and on with the TV it's hooked up to. Only issue I had was that if placed directly in front of the TV, it may interfere with remote access to the TV. So I raised the TV about 2" on the stand.

I got a Hisense 4K HDTV for a ridiculously low price a year or so ago. It’s been great, except for the sound quality. So I bought us the Bose Solo-5 TV Soundbar for Christmas. It has improved our tv watching experience dramatically! It’s also great for playing music thru bluetooth, or Pandora on our Apple TV. We are VERY happy with this purchase.

If you can't use a separate sub-woofer and need something a little smaller this is for you. Very easy set up. Works very well with Samsung smart TV.

Easy set up, good sound. I was tired of the inconsistency of sound between channels coming from my tv and didn’t want anything complicated or with a subwoofer. This sound bar was a perfect solution. It was extremely easy to set up, the remote operates the bar, my tv and cable box and the sound is great. Highly recommend.

Pros: The soundbar is light weight and handy and portable. Setup is easy. By connecting couple of cords, you are good to go. Cons: Sound output is not good enough for large rooms. Works best if the soundbar is kept on an elevated platform. The remote is extremely bulky. Good for a small room .

The BOSE Solo 5 Sound Bar is a great product. Fantastic sound and everything is really clear. I'm very happy with this purchase.
