However, even when I turn the volume up, it's not loud enough for my elderly father. If you need a sound system loud enough to rattle the windows, this isn't it.

We were very impressed with the dialog button which enhances sound when he's listening to conversations on television. I would recommend this sound bar for HD televisions which may need an additional boost for sound quality.

It sounded very good in the store, but when I got it home, I was disappointed. The sound was lacking bass. Hooking it up to my TV was easy. I returned it as it was not the Bose quality i had hoped for.

Has a dialogue setting which allows me to better understand the spoken word. Perfect in my "older" age. Improves the TV sound greatly for such an inexpensive unit.
