The device works as expected. The controller is problematic. I am using the controller to turn the speakers on and off. The instructions indicate the controller can be used to turn other parts of my TV system on and off. I have not succeeded in doing so; yes I read the directions..

We bought this at the same time we purchased a new TV. We were instantly sold on it when we heard its sound. It makes hearing the sound on the TV much easier and we also enjoy the fact that we can use the music on the iPad to play through this sound bar. The sound is fantastic!

Good Product but Remote is Useless when Using Xfinity and does not Pair with Comcast to only use 1 Remote Control so you are Stuck using cable Remote and Extremely Large Bose Remote

Good speaker which adds clarity and extra base when watching movies. The speaker don't get that load but is not needed for smaller rooms but does add a lot of sound when watching movies that standard tv speakers don't add. Would work well with surround sound speaker additions.

Bluetooth music feature on this speaker is fantastic. Only thing is its not real loud. I was expecting for a bose speaker, it would be louder. Very pricey. I feel like we paid to much. Great size, cute & nice to look at. It's okay I'd say!

The first one we purchased had a horrible noise emitting from it and had to be returned. This one seems to be working good. The only complaint is that it doesn't make the spoken word as clear as Bose claimed with the lower volumes (which is the main reason we purchased this brand over others)

I contemplated buying after testing the demo months before I purchased. I was impressed with the demo in the store and went between it and the Vizio priced much cheaper. I was disappointed when I got it home because I didn't feel like the sound quality was near what I had experienced with the demo. If I had it to do over, I would have spent less money and purchased the Vizio which has noticeable bass. This does not. Even after turning up the bass, I noticed no difference. I wanted a rich sound experience, not just a speaker. I paid for rich sound and simply got sound. The $99 Vizio has richer sound but the price is more like a simple speaker.

I upgraded my old Bose 321 system with this Solo 5 system and am very happy with it. Very simple to set up and more than adequate enough sound to fill the room. The sound was also excellent when streaming music to it. The soundbar hardly takes up any space on my tv stand.

Bought this for my bedroom TV because I was having difficulty heading voices when there was background music or other noise. The voice clarity move does that well while music continues in the background. Compact unit that fits on a 24 inch TV table nicely.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this little sound bar but i’m impressed. I was watching a movie and i thought somebody was knocking on my door and it was the sound bar! If you have a lower budget, this is a great sound bar.

Love this soundbar - has great range, especially since I boosted the base like the nice man at the store told me to as I checked out. Easy to set up, easy to use, just wish I could figure out how to get a picture of the volume on the screen when I'm adjusting the volume.

Wonderful Acoustics for Television,not for Music Playing, if just for Television Audio, Does the job with Bose Quality, I bought it for Television, Highly satisfied and Recommend, if looking for a Music Soundbar, I would not Recommend

The unit is compact but sounds much larger with great clarity. It was very easy to set up and is far superior to the rear speakers on my tv. It did take a little research to enable my comcast remote to control the on/off and volume of the speaker, but is working fine.

The Bose sound bar sounds fantastic. The one thing I don't care for is the remote control. It's made to control all your devises. I have another Bose sound bar that has a simple on and off and a volume control. I much prefer that remote.

Great quality Bose sound and 1 cable hook up. Voices are much clearer and amplification of all sounds is dramatically improved over tv speakers. If you're looking for booming base then no. If you want clean sound, simple design and very easy hook up then definitely yes.

Needed to get a new sound bar and Bose is always a great choice. Music sounds fabulous, although there aren’t as many options to change sound for movies, etc., or at least we haven’t figured it out yet. But the sound is great.

I've had several Bose speakers in the past and got superior sound from all of them. But this speaker doesn't have as rich a sound as others. The unit is taller than most, too, which a a bit problematic as it cuts into my TV screen (which is up on a mantle). If it were lower, this wouldn't happen. I bought a Sony bar on sale before this and returned it because it was too long so interfered with the TV's remote signal on my Roku TV (which is really a Roku design flaw) but the sound on the Sony was not as good as this Bose, so I'm keeping the Bose . I would recommend to a friend, but with reservations.

If you are looking for a soundbar that's sleek, minimal in style, all black, not to big and not to small, blends in with your entertainment setup and sounds amazing! Then the Bose Solo 5 Soundbar is the choice for you!

I recently bought a 5.1 surround to help with my trouble hearing dialogue on my TV. This Bose Solo 5 was superior to the 5.1 and dialogue is now easier to understand. Bose once again comes through.

I love both speakers this one is great and easy to connect. Only reason I gave it a four star is because it is not too loud, it is great for bedrooms but the sound wasn’t too loud for the living room other than that great speaker
