We like the new speaker, but it is not surround sound. It is good, but might have enjoyed the one that cost $200 more better for the surround sound.

I use this all the time. I watch movies, my granddaughter watches her shows, and the dogs believe it is real sounds, and bark at the doorbells and other dogs on TV.

BOSE has designed a soundbar that takes the audio part of the viewing experience and brings it up to a level of excellence. The main feature is the dialogue enhancement, which performs admirably.

Have been bugging my husband for a sound bar for ages! Finally broke down and we got the Bose. Reason he likes it just one unit not 2 pieces. Sound is great, looks like part of set and we can hear! YAY! Happy we got the Bose!

I am very happy with this 5.1 sound bar center speaker. It is one of my best purchases I have done latelly. The sound quality is great. It is easy to mount and to hook up. I do recomend it. Great price. It is a BOSE, it is the best.

This thing is perfect if you want to upgrade your flat screens tinny speakers, and want it done quickly, easily, and with just one piece instead of multiple pieces. Bose has always been my favorite and again they do not dissapoint.

Sounds great. Easy to install. Bluetooth works as expected Status LED a bit hard to find, but at the end a good thing. I really don't like an LED light on when watching a movie in a dark room.

I have only had the sound bar about a week, but I am loving it!! My one complaint, the remote is huge, bulky, and heavy. Additionally, it is suppose to be a universal remote (which I'm sure it can be) but so far it is not accepting the Sony TV codes.

Bose sounds from my experience's and, in this case for the bedroom, have always exceeded expectations. Excellent musical technology for bedroom activities and viewing pleasure...

As always, when it comes to sound, it has to be BOSE. The Solo 5 is perfect for our purpose. It's the perfect partner to our 65" Sony in our bedroom. The crisp and whole sound it produces makes TV viewing a lot more enjoyable.

Love this sound bar. It was a bit longer than I had anticipated it would be so would not fit in my cabinet under my tv but set nicely on the floor in front of my entertainment center. Works great there.

Our TV has a speaker in the back, but sits in a armour. It was difficult to hear the TV because the sound vibrated off the back of the armour. This solved the problem perfectly.

We we’re starting to get a vibration off the wall from using the volume on the tv. This sound bar is great. I have it on the stand in front of the television. The sound is so pure.

We purchased this because our sound system was very good with music but not so good with voices on the TV. The sound bar was a little bit better but not enough better to justify its purchase.

I have had this soundbar for nearly three years, and it continues to be reliable and in good condition.

I am really enjoying my new Bose sound bar. It really makes my tv experience much better. The tv speakers have to be so small on the new tv's that one really needs to add a sound bar for maximum quality sound.

This is a good soundbar for the price but if your old soundbar included a subwoofer then this might not be the replacement that you are looking for.

It's not surround sound but it's certainly better than sound from the tv. I like the speech setting. It's definitely easier to hear dialogue on this setting which is less bassy and clearer than the general setting.

I expect nothing less than Bose experience. Purchased this soundbar to go with a Hisense TV that came with poor speakers. Good for my bed room and I didn't need to get a sub to go with this.

This soundbar has great sound and mounted easily below my wall-mounted tv. Only knock on it is that it doesn't automatically turn on when it gets the sound feed from the tv (via optical cable). You have to manually turn it on each time.
