This soundbar has great sound and mounted easily below my wall-mounted tv. Only knock on it is that it doesn't automatically turn on when it gets the sound feed from the tv (via optical cable). You have to manually turn it on each time.

This speaker does the job. It increases the volume for my TV. I also like the remote which I connected to my TV. It is smaller so it doesn't take up too much space.

I bought this for my RV and the sound is awesome. I wanted a sound bar that didn't require a separate sub woofer to deliver good bass and this definitely fits my purpose. It's Bose so it delivers.

I needed a sound bar that had the capability of providing clear dialog. This is the bomb!! Every speaker in my house is Bose. I have had nothing but for over 40 years because of the sound quality. This product is no exception!

If you like a speaker for your television without all these wires and complicated buttons this speaker is for you . It doesn't alot of space, easy to installation and great sound

This soundbar seems to me to be lacking highs. I'd prefer more highs. Also, the music/speech button makes some difference, but very little. It would be better, I think, if the difference was greater. The sound surely doesn't make anyone say, "Wow, I love that Bose sound!" like they do when they hear a 600$+ Bose system. I DO like the fact that TV, cable, and sound are all controlled (most functions) from a single remote which is relatively easy to set up. I've never been able (or willing!) to make that happen with other remotes. SUMMARY: I DO like it, but the sound is not spectacular IMHO. I recommend it, with the reservations noted above.

Would have given five stars due to the quality of the sound however, this is a replacement as the original system remote failed within 2 months and 3 weeks after purchase. Unable to operate sound bar.

I recently purchased the Bose Solo 5 for my Grandma. She can now actually hear her tv again instead of just looking at a picture — I couldn’t be happier with this product — I highly recommend

This bad boy was bought for my wife and I's bedroom. We have a flat screen tv that has sound that isn't that great. I hooked this thing up and it made a wonderful difference. I live in an apartment and it's more than enough.

I've been unable to get full functionality of this soundbar using my DirecTV remote. Volume up and down works fine, but power on/off do not. I've done quite a bit of research into the "code" for the soundbar, but have not had any success on getting full functionality. Also, would really like to see volume values either on the soundbar or on my TV. Without the volume indicator, I cannot set the bar to specific levels for different listening options. Overall, a bit disappointed given that this is Bose -- one of the best sound system manufacturers.

This soundbar was the best addition to my entertainment center. The sounds are crisp even when playing video games. My dog thinks that someone is in the house because the surround sound is that good.

i can hear the voices on the TV clearly now. We used to have to turn the TV up very loud and still couldn't hear. Now we don't miss anything and we aren't constantly asking "what did they say?"

Does sound as loud as most Bose systems. Takes a lot of clicks to increase volume and sometimes doesn’t feel like it can get super loud, but still improved volumes from TV alone.

For the size, this small soundbat delivers more than expected. Voice clarity is great, and music too - both far superior to the TV audio system. And to top it all off, it’s a Bose unit at a reasonable cost.

Bought this to improve flat screen tv sound...and it is an improvement over the television speakers especially for the spoken word at a fair price.

Overall, sound is great. Even better now that I've also purchased the sub with it. I can't get it to work through the HDMI(ARC) cable but it's works through the optical cable. Too busy to trouble shoot with Bose but I will someday.

Easy to setup. Connected via digital audio cable. Sounds great. Main issue I have is that the volume is not controlled by TV remote. Have to use a separate remote that comes with the sound bar to change volume.

At the store it was playing a movie and sound was nice and deep and great bass sounding. In my apartment connected to TV and watching regular TV it's much better than the TV speakers, not as much bass overall that I was hoping for.

One of the reasons I chose my new TV was its internal speaker is rated above average. I decided to see if I could get clearer dialogue and the Bose does the job. Great sound in a very compact bar.

This little soundbar has amazing clarity. Nice and compact and is easy to connect. The dialogue button really helps with speech clarity. No more having to blast the volume to be able to hear the dialogue. Love this thing!
