The smart remote that came with it is an IR so it has to be pointed at all equipment that it controls. Satellite box is on a lower shelf in bedroom and the sound bar and TV are mounted higher up on the wall. I have to point the remote at the satellite box and then swoop up to get the TV and sound bar to turn on or off.
