It is a good sound enhancer. It works well for me as I use it in my bedroom on a 55 inch tv. I don't need too much bass and I am quite happy with my Bose system. If the remote were a little smaller I would give it 5 stars. If you are looking for movie theater sound and bass this is not the system you want.

The sound on the bar is great; fills a room without the need for multiple speakers (extra helpful when you want a full sound without thumping bass that would wake a sleeping baby). However, it has some issues with our TV, often shutting off when the TV goes on. Not a deal breaker, and setting it to auto-wake makes that happen less frequently.

This thing sounds amazing! It cost more, but is totally worth it and really is not going to break the bank for the quality of sound it delivers! I did not want multiple speakers with a bunch of wires laying around and a extra sub woofer taking up space, so this sound bar is not in the way of anything, looks great and sounds awesome! Movie nights are much better now!

I'm using this as a speaker for my Samsung QLED 80 series TV. It works well for smaller spaces. It provides a little more depth of sound and base than the system speakers. It's compact and also works well as a Bluetooth speaker. If you are a serious audio file, you may want a speaker with a small Sub or more adjustable setting. Not a bad price for a Bose product.

I have the solo 15 in the living room and I purchased this solo 5 for my bedroom cause new TV these days might as well not have speakers. The TV I purchased was load enough thank god cause in comparison the solo 5 is nothing compared to the solo 15. For the same amount of money the solo 5 is a waste of money. If you have had better it's hard to settle for less. It not horrible, I would always buy Bose over any other speaker brand but Bose has to give the same quality in there products to keep customers like me coming back.

I am using this in my bedroom and I am very pleased with the improvement over the speakers of the TV. The speaker does have some limitations and I would not be inclined to use it for the family room TV where the room is bigger. I wish you could set a default setting for the voice enhancement function when you power on. Given the size of this speaker, and the size constraints I have, I am very satisfied.

We bought this speaker for our baby’s room and it has excellent sound with decent bass for its small size. If you want theater quality, you’ll have to go with the bigger version. Setting up the remote to control the TV, DirecTV, and Apple TV was a breeze. Bluetooth was easy too. We purchased the bracket to hang it on the wall and installation was very quick.

Easy to setup, provides a decent amount of oomph in the sound. It also has a setting that makes dialogue easier to hear, which is a welcome bonus. The remote control can also be used as a universal remote for TVs and other devices. Unforutnately it doesn't work with our TV model despite being listed, but I imagine it'll work for more popular brands. Can't complain for the money, would recommend.

I narrowed my choice down to this and the Sonos Beam. In retrospect, the Beam may have been the better choice. My decision came down to the connectors. The Bose Solo 5 uses an optical audio connector, while the Sonos Beam uses HDMI. All 4 of my HDMI ports are in use, so I went with the Bose. The Bose is actually working out well for my purposes. I have kids, so I rarely turn up the volume really loud. The Solo 5 gives me a modest upgrade over my TV speakers (which aren't bad speakers). The sound is clear and reasonably full. There is a dialog mode, meant to make dialog easier to hear. I have tried it and don't notice a ton of difference. One thing I like is that the sound is well balanced. Some speakers tend to make the music and explosions really loud, while the dialog can get lost. The Solo 5 lets you hear everything without turning up the volume to hear dialog, then back down when the explosions get too loud. It is a good sound bar to make TV, movies and video games sound better. I turned it up pretty loud to hear how it sounds and it didn't lose fidelity or break up at high volume.

The price, size and availability was perfect for what I was looking for

The Bose Sound Bar was a great Sound Bar, with a reasonable price. Bose has a reputation, I have Bose headphone, and a 3 2 1 Bose system, they sound great. I would recommend Bose whenever you are looking for a great sound system, or other Bose speakers, headphone, or sound bar, I would suggest you look at Bose. I give it a 5 star Bose Sound Bar.

I have been purchasing Bose products for over 25 years. I have never been disappointed and this soundbar met and exceeded my wildest expectation for a soundbar that doesn't have rear speakers. The sound is clear and crisp and I am extremely satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend it to those looking for a great sounding bar.

As always, Bose puts out a great product that delivers great sound.

Great buy. Sound quality excellent as always for Bose. Universal remote is great addition.
