I purchased this and could not be happier. Sound is great and the universal remote makes it a lot easier to control the sound bar and all my other electronics. Super easy to connect and start using. i love the fact its just the bar, which is a perfect size for a compact space, and still sounds great

This sound bar is awesome!! Sound is great. You don't need a super long sound bar with a sub. The base on this is great. The remote is an added bonus. Works all my components. Able to power all on and power off with one button. Playing Bluetooth sounds great!!! So easy to use. Bose never lets me down.

This was a great purchase; plenty of sound and yet takes a small amount of room in front of our TV.

Sound bar does not have an added bass box, but this bose sound bar doesn't need one. This sound bar packs a punch for it's size, I was very impressed with the sound quality. Would highly recommend for the price, size, and sound quality.

Full disclosure, I did a ton of research leading into this: - Sounds quality issues are either defective unit or setup based. Once set up, the sound quality is honestly impeccable for a pure sound bar. - Installation, from out of the box to connecting wires, took me 4.5 minutes - and I timed it to make a point to my wife (love you honey :). - The Universal Remote: It really requires a capital 'The' because while it is by FAR the most advanced component Universal Remote I have ever seen, it takes advanced setup. I have 2 engineering degrees and it took me 4 hours to understand how to program and then actually do it. PROGRAMMING THE UNIVERSAL REMOTE (If you have any questions, here is how I did it) - To understand why each brand has only one Code, it is because under each brand (Samsung, Vizio, etc.) there may be multiple SUB-codes, any one of which may work for your device, so it will be time consuming. For example, for Samsung, I discovered through trial and error, there are approximately 30 sub-codes. To find the right one for your component, you enter the code per the instructions, then press volume + ONCE and wait till it is set, then you test per the instructions. If responsive, great! If not try again up to the volume +, then you press volume + TWICE, then test, if not - then follow the process over this time volume + THREE (FOUR, FIVE, SIX) so on and so forth until it responds. I am sure the brilliant team at BOSE would have told me this had I been able to get someone on the phone on a Saturday afternoon, and possibly they have a better method, but this is how I did it and I was able to add 4 components all of different levels of age and complexity. The directions could use some fine-tuning. That is my only knock and why I go down to 4 starts. Let's call it punitive incentivization in that, had I left for my 75 year old father to set up, he would not be talking to me till the holidays, but the 4 hours kept me from having to go to BedBathBeyond with my wife - so I could make it 4.5 stars - but baby steps. Once up and running though, I couldn't imagine going back to the receiver component systems I was running. Love the BOSE SOLO 5 so far!

I enjoy Bose products, but didn't have the need for elaborate system, nor wanted the expense, but DO want Great sound, from the TV, in realativly small room. This speaker is perfect. Would highly recommend. Also has bluetooth to connect with other devices, without the TV. Can't beat it, I say!

You plug in two cords and have a great sounding system. Not surround sound, but great quality.

This is exactly what I needed to add to my Vizio M series TV to have the best possible experience while gaming and watching movies and television. I have had the sound bar for a year and seven months and have used it without the subwoofer add on. It’s great for music also. Click the Bluetooth connect button on the remote or the sound bar and have your phone playing tunes in seconds. I will be adding the subwoofer now. I bought this initially because my TV speakers weren’t loud enough even when they were turned up to the safest number without having the chance of them blow. I now want to have a more immersive experience, so I will be adding the Bose Subwoofer that goes along with this sound bar.

Great product great sound really clean and crisp I love that you can play music over Bluetooth

Great sound, can really hear things that you didn't hear before. Bluetooth works great and was easy to connect to other devices. Bass is a little lacking but overall sound is great. Was able to set my directv remote to control the volume and when the soundbar senses audio from the TV through the optical cable it turns the sound bar on. It also turns itself off after a hour of no audio. Only have to use the Bose remote if I need to switch inputs, but for normal everyday use I don't use it. Enjoy!

I was purchasing a 49" UHD TV, and wanted to get a soundbar that would not overwhelm the TV nor my apartment. This mini soundbar by BOSE is the perfect fit! The sound quality is as high a quality as expected from BOSE. And, at a great price, too!

Just bought new 55" LCD 4KHD TV and I did not like the sound from it, as most people do not becuase the speakers are in the back. I looked at all the sound bar options and went to the store to listen and compare. I just wanted better sound. I did not want it to be like I was in the movie theater all the time. Well it seems like all the other options come with a sub woofer that you have to hide somewhere and they are just to much sound for general tv watching. So I decided on this little BOSE and I could not be happier. It actually gives the sound a slight movie style quality but not like at the theater. In addition, I do not notice that the voices are hard to understand as some of the other posts seem to complain about. I think it is perfect for giving you a rich TV sound without the movie surround sound blare. PS If I want the Surround Sound eperience I will turn on my BOSE surround sound system.

This Bose speaker is a major improvement over the speakers in your tv. This speaker is compact and will blend- in to the room plus it comes with a wonderful remote control. This speaker will not shake and rock your whole house. For that you need a more powerful speaker and subwoofer. This Bose speaker can be used with your desktop computer as well. It would mate up good with a 23 inch or larger pc monitor. In summary, this speaker has good sound quality and I can finally understand the dialog from news and various tv dramas. The speaker comes with a 3 foot long fiber output cable that connects from the tv sound out to the rear of the Bose speaker. There are two more connection options, coax and rca left and right jacks. Rumor has it the fiber output is superior in sound quality then the other two options.

Basic bose soundbar... perfect for a 12x15 room.. good buy for this price range

Pros: - Small size - Easy to mount on wall - Power chord and no adapter; easy plug and play! - Bluetooth was easy to connect - Easy to pair with my Apple TV remote - Boots on with Apple TV and my Samsung TV automatically Cons: - Minimal input/output ports - If you have a theatre setup, this will not produce the bass you want - Remote is massive and unnecessary I can't remember, but this thing is maybe 80 watts. For what you pay and the size of the sound bar, it really does produce a ridiculously clear and large amount of sound. The bass is disappointing, but for the size and price point, this is a great addition to our household.

I have had multiple Bose systems from lifestyles to headphones ALL have been outstanding this sound bar is no different, some will complain that Bose equipment is not loud enough but that’s the difference between listening to noise and sound if you don’t understand what that means then you are listening to noise and probably need Bose anything or you can’t be helped

I was looking to upgrade my 5+ year old sound bar. The deal was too good to pass up, and I know the quality of Bose. There have been some reviews that say the sound quality on display versus when you get it home do not match. This is not true. The sound quality is great. The dialogue mode is awesome depending on what I am watching. The set up was a breeze. I have a couple year old Sony Bravia, and there were no compatibility issues on set up. My phone, laptop, tablet, etc. connected via the bluetooth feature with no issues either. My only critique for this item is the level of bass it produces. I was hoping for more, and I think it would enhance a movie watching experiencing with more rumble. The bass is still noticeable, but again, I would like more.

This Bose sound bar is just the right size and provides very good quality sound for my guest bedroom. I have owned Bose sound systems before and have enjoyed them all for many years after purchase. I recommend this product to anyone in the market for a compact quality sound system for their TV.

Sound is just right, as expected for a Bose. Remote is easy to use.
