    Worked great the first time I used it. I read all the reviews on the Best Buy website and thought this was going to be a terrific purchase. The speaker had plenty of power, good range and quality sound. Charged it at the end of the first nights use and two days later...nothing, no power at all. Thought it may have been a fluke so I cracked a window and listened while it was plugged in and let it charge overnight. 2 days later and again...NOTHING. Wouldn't hold a charge, so I really got to use it for what it was intended for only one time. Started reading independent reviews and apparently this problem isn't all that uncommon for the speaker, which I was not pleased to find out. I wasn't going to go through that again, so I switched to Beats Pill + and I love it. Bose may have lost a long time customer for a very long time if this is the kind of product they want to put on shelves.

    Sorry but very disappointing

    I did like the design and size, after all I was going for mobility and a fun factor, but the sound was not what you would expect from Bose. Pairing and user friendliness was great, but the sound was the same a $40 mono speaker I had purchased for my son. Sorry Bose but the sound was horrible. I had no choice but to exchange for a Sony -X55, what a difference. Perhaps not as mobile because the Sony has a glossy expensive and elegant finish and would hate to scratch it, but amazing sound that beats the competition in the segment. If you want it mainly for indoors Sony is the way to go, if you want it for outdoors you need to look at the JBL or the UE. I try to understand why some people actually say that the sound is good, because it isn't, my friend has one of this and the sound in hers is exactly the same I experience with this one before I returned it, maybe I'm too picky when it comes to quality. I'm trying not to be mean, but rather honest.

    Poor Music Quality: Terrible Distortion

    1. Due of the wavering strength of the wifi connection where ever I may go, (even on the LG4 network/using bluetooth to stream music from my phone), there are adverse affects in the quality of the music, i.e. the tempo will fluctuate and the voices will distort. And not just slightly. It is VERY NOTICEABLE. 2. If you are using your phone to stream the music and you get a phone call, everyone else whom may have been enjoying the music now has to deal with the music being interrupted while you engage in a conversation. 3. If you use your phone for music streaming, and also like to use your phone for playing video games or surfing the web at the same time, all of the little sound effects and background music will also filter through to the Bose speaker and sometimes cause it to stop all together, or freeze your phone up.

The music should definitely not be changing tempo or distorting, and the phone should not be freezing from using the SoundLink Color speaker.     Bad sound when connected to Samung Galaxy

    So disappointed. The speaker sounds very tinny, bass is booming BUT sound is just NOT great. Expected so much more from Bose. It's paired with my phone and I'm playing XM Radio app (has 300 channels of digital programming, you can't get a better test of sound than XM). I went from station to station and nothing had rich sound quality. I moved the speaker from room to room, no change. Maybe it's Samsung device, not sure, but I wanted it for pairing with XM. My phone has better sound quality. Then I tried music I had downloaded onto my phone and again, tinny quality. I will be taking this back. The sound in store is amazing but not sure what it's connected to that it sounds so good. Bummed. Will be asking Samsung guy at store today.

    Warranty Is Horrible! Read B4 you buy

    Got a Bose Sound link speaker for Xmas. Works fine. Come July mine would not hold a charge. I'm thinking well this is Bose! The best in the industry so no problems. WRONG!!!!! Called Bose tech support and first thing was I had to pay $9 to ship it back. I argued with them with no luck. Then the real kicker. It's going to take 3 WEEKS to repair!!!! Who does that anymore! Most manufacturers ship you a replacement immediately! You may think Bose sells the best speakers and they do. But their Warranty is the WORSE I have ever seen.

    Waste of Money

    I think this speaker has worked twice in all the times I've tried it. It doesn't turn on and off, but needs to be plugged in/recharged or unplugged. The buttons don't seem to activate anything and don't glow the color they're supposed to. My biggest regret is not trying it right away so that I could have returned it. A big waste of money.

You should definitely be able to use it unplugged and the battery should last up to 8 hours at typical listening volume. There should also be response from the buttons.     Battery life stinks.

    Read all reviews prior to purchasing and must admit sound guality is great but battery life is not close to any projections. Called bose support and was told that I couldn't listen at full volume and expect acceptable battery life. What a joke. Unfortunately was past time to return or it would have gone back to Best Buy. Total dissapointment!

    Won't charge or turn

    I just received this as a gift and I Have used it 2x and now won't turn on or charge. I tried plugging it into lap top as well as using the cables that were supplied for charging and still nothing. This was a gift so not sure how I can return it. Sad because when it worked I really enjoyed it! What a waste

To do so, please connect the speaker to power, then press and hold the Play/Pause button for at least 15 seconds. While continuing to hold Play/Pause, unplug from power, then release Play/Pause and reconnect the power cord to wake the speaker up.

    I went by the reviews and I would not recommend this speakers. The sound was not crispy and the bass was not loud enough. Is to heavy.The buttons needs to be press to hard and the Bluetooth would not read as fast as should. I returned it the next day and went for the Beats Pill.

    I returned it. Highs were nonexistent. Not even water resistant. Pretty much on a par with my old cell phone's speaker. Not what I expected from Bose. If you want the Bose name and care about your music, you'll have to spend twice as much for decent sound.

    Poorly built speaker

    I bought this speaker for my 16 year old for Christmas. Within 2 weeks it stopped charging. I took it back and got a replacement. It's been 8 months and the same problem. It claims it's charged, but it doesn't work. I would not recommend this speaker.

    Shelf life causes failure

    Purchased 1 in August had to exchange it again 2 weeks later new one also exchanged, contact Bose about issue found out by serial number that it had been sitting in wharehouse for over 18 months. That is poor handling of product that has battery.

    From almost right out of the box, the charging unit was loose. The newer model’s charging port is totally different, so Bose addressed the flaw, but I would not recommend this model if you were buying it used or on clearance.

    Per BOSE support, there are some issues with the power cord and they will send a new one. However, since I registered this product IMMEDIATLY and receive constant emails from them, how is it that they did not inform customers that there was an issue?

    I bought this as a christmas gift for someone. Since i am a fan of bose and in fact i have bose sytem at home i was expecting this one would sound good but i was wrong so i ended up returning this item.

    Bose dropped the ball on this one! No directions on charging time, 21/2-3hrs playing time. After charging for 8hrs still tells me "low battery"! I returned 2 of them and was very dissapointed!

    Our Bose SoundLink I WAS great until the charging port began working intermittently, now it will not charge at all. But for this critical flaw it would have been good product.

    Bluetooth Failure!

    I am very disappointed in this speaker. I purchased it for the bluetooth functionalility. It worked great for a while and but just quit. I will be returning this speaker for a refund.
