I received this little gem as a Christmas Gift. I had been thinking about buying a set of speakers from Logitech,,,,the UE BOOM. I like the sound of the BOSE Soundllink color speaker when it is close up. I can easily pair it with any of the systems I choose as a host. It is nicely portable, recharges quickly and can play continuously for hours. The disadvantage is in the fact that it cannot be paired with another BOSE Soundlink speaker to obtain a heightened stereo effect. The stereo separation appears to be limited to the two inches separating the left and right channel speakers. The fidelity is there to hear, but I am sorry to say that there is quite a bit of music that really needs to be heard with more separation between the right and left channel speakers. With little or no distance in channel separation, the BOSE Soundlink keeps music as a pinpoint source of sound... much like a mono radio. I do plan on keeping this speaker because it is useful and does sound good when it is in an small room, but I think I will be purchasing those UE BOOMS sometime soon to fill in the larger areas of the house and outdoor patio areas.

I bought this as an alternative to the Jabra Soulmate I'd been using outdoors and in my office. I'm basing my review on a comparison between other Bose products and the Jabra Soulmate. Sound quality is hands down terrific as to be expected with Bose - the Soulmate is competitive in sound quality. Bluetooth - ease of pairing, connectivity and quality of connection are all poor in my opinion. It is difficult to pair after more than two devices have been connected or disconnected. Connection is easily disturbed by interference or more than 10 feet of space between device and speaker. Battery life - I get 3 hours out of the battery - not the 6-8 I've come to love and expect from having the soulmate. Overall I'd say spend the $80-$120 or less on a Jabra and you'll be just as pleased and save money. Or - spend the extra and go with the Soundlink mini.

This is a very battery dependent device. If you use it one place most of the time make sure you keep it plugged in. If you don't it will let you down when you want to use it in its portable portable form. When the battery is dead it will have poor connectivity and no volume control even if it is plugged in. Very battery dependent. Also it takes a long time to charge 12+hrs. No sound controls and it does not have much treble or highs. Unfortunately I use it mostly with my Iphone which also has no operating system sound controls and it cost 7 times as much. Most cheap little mp3 players have a 5 band equalizer!! It does look cool and sounds big for something small.

The Boss Sounlink Color is made to compete with the other brands in its market. It's great for portability on the job or for vacation. I wanted something with a little bit more power to enjoy my music so I returned it and got the Bose Soundlink 3 which is amazing. The major turn off for me with the soundlink color is that with any songs that has multiple instruments it kind of blends together too much. Making it hard to listen, thus why exchanged for the soundlink 3. If you want really premium sound, go with the soundlink 3. The soundlink 2 also sounds great. The soundlink color is great as well, just not for everything or everyone.

So I bought this thinking BOSE! how can I go wrong? Weeeeell it's not as great as I thought it would be. I connect my iPhone to it and honestly it's just not really that loud in my opinion and I thought the music would be a little bit clearer than it actually is. I give it 3 stars because it is super easy to set up and use, the design and color are super cute in my opinion, and it's nice and portable and for its size I feel pretty light weight to carry if u have to.

I've had Bose products for years (close to 25)... This is honestly the first product from them I can't recommend. The Audio quality is sub-par. Obviously this is a tiny enclosure and low power speaker, but overall the other Bluetooth options that I've seen of similar price/size have better low and medium tones than this. At higher volume the Audio also distorts. Disappointed and it will be returned. :(

I bought 2 Bose wireless speakers for Christmas gifts. So far one has worked great. The other one worked great for 2 weeks. After that it would not charge. Took it back to the store and they tried to get it to work. Best Buy agreed it was a faulty speaker and exchanged it for a new one. I bought the Bose because of it's reputation and was very surprised this happened. The sound is very good for a wireless speaker and was easy set up.

I choose this unit based upon BOSE name and the anticipated battery life. Im not sure if it was an issue with unit or otherwise, but my batter life was on average about 3 hours. Consulting with Bose that recommended to return the item. I had high hopes that this would end my search for a great sound, durable construction(which it does have) and long battery life, but the search continues.

      Bose support

We engineered the SoundSport wireless headphones to be stable and comfortable, sweat and weather resistant, and provide amazing sound. While they’re delivering on this promise for the vast majority of owners, we’ve found that a small percentage of customers, like you, have experienced a problem under specific conditions related to extreme levels of sweat and moisture.
We’ve taken every SoundSport wireless headphone that’s been returned to us, tore them down in our labs, and now have a solution. Going forward, every SoundSport wireless headphone will include this update, and they'll be ready by the end of August. Bose

Small speaker, small sound. I expected more from a "BOSE" product after I had purchased the same one for my wife. She liked it so I got one for myself, bad move. It's good at work, or for a restroom speaker or even a small room so don't expect much more. The Bluetooth and auxiliary features work pretty good, so...buy it as a gift and you shouldn't hear any complaints.

Next Gen Speaker after Bose Wave

Have a Bose Wave with 30 pin Iphone Docking Station which started to lose connections. Bose didn't seem to create a Lightening connection station so had to go to bluetooth soundlink. Its fine, not great with sound. Is more portable, which is good give sound pitches out at high volume. Do lose the added feature of charging from the unit. Pick your poison.

The sound is pretty good compared to other small speakers but not THAT much better. Slightly more base is the difference. Connectivity is where this product really fails. Sound breaks up if more than about 8 feet away. I've had speakers for 1/4 the price with a better overall value. I would expect more from BOSE

I haven't been successful in getting this to work right. It worked fine when I first set it up. The next time and ever since, I have not been able to make any sound come out. I talked to a person at Bose and he believes it is a problem with my phone. Working on that with Verizon but not successful so far.

Bose is a great product. I purchased this particular model for its durability, wireless capability and portability, however, the sound wasn't as good as my other Bose systems when linked together. I ended up returning this product and getting the Bose mini. I'm very pleased with the mini.

Great speaker but not as great as the Bose sound link mini. Personally, I could tell the significant difference in the volume level between the Sound link mini and the sound link color. For the price it isn't bad, but if you can, id recommend splurging and going for the sound link mini

...Which is ultimately what matters most. But it's a touch bulky, range is ridiculously short (I couldn't wander around my 600 sq ft apartment with my phone in my pocket) and the buttons aren't very responsive. Also, it's not very loud in outdoor spaces. For the price, that's not a lot of value.

I bought this unit for my some what large bathroom area and it worked out great! The sound quality was great but the unit did not hold a charge when fully charged. So now when I want to listen to my music I have to make sure it's plugged in. The Bluetooth is the best feature to listen to my music!

While, I have enjoyed the bluetooth of this product, I have several Bose products and they usually have a more substantial bass, which I prefer. At this point, I am not sold on this product. I will continue to use it over the next week to determine if it will make the cut.

When I saw this item in the store I fell in love with it, and my iPhone 4 hooked right up to it on the spot. I bought this and brought it home and cannot get it to connect with my phone... Hopefully it will connect when I have the time to dedicate to solving the problem.

I was once told: "when you go with Bose, you lose the highs and the lows." This speaker doesn't lose the lows but there are no highs! You will need a good equalizer to bring them back. Otherwise a great sounding speaker. Did I mention that it was LOUD?

Bought this after reading online reviews. Picked it up and immediately returned it after listening to the in-store demo. It sounded cheap and not at all what I expected from Bose. Bought the Bose Soundlink Mini instead and it was definitely worth paying the extra money.
