This speaker is what I expected. For a small copmact speaker it has good base and above average mid-range. The battery when fully charged has given me 9-10hours of play time. It pair with multiple devices quickly.

This small but sturdy device produces pretty good sound - especially with songs that have a lot of bass. In fact, I have to sometimes lower the bass levels in songs so it doesn't overpower the treble. The battery level seems to last a while and since getting this device and listening to it a few times a week, I've had to recharge it once. Overall, I'm happy with the device.

Great Bose sound. They are small and easy to pack. I was concerned they might be a little heavy however that has not been a problem. Great for traveling.

I have never purchased Bose products that have failed to meet or exceed my expectations and the SoundLink II is not a spoiler! I have owned several other portable Bluetooth speakers and none have compared to this unit! How Bose can pack such a deep and fabulous sound in such a small package really amazes me! It has become the go to speaker for when I am sitting in the kitchen/dining room even though I have a pair of Bose Box speakers in the next room! The pairing is always spot on and ready to go (some of my past competitor's purchases.....not so!). The battery also lasts longer than I expected! All around great unit! It will travel nicely as well with the optional matching travel case! Great job Bose!!!

After owning a Bose sound dock for 5 years I was ready for another speaker that has Bluetooth and good battery life. I bought this based off all the great reviews online. It was smaller than I expected like most reviews state and it also has more weight than I thought it would which to me shows the quality material that is used to construct it. I took this home and put it in the same spot I had my sound dock in my kitchen and was disappointed with the lack of volume. I will say if you don't listen to your music at higher volumes or if you plan to keep it at a low to medium volume in an office, then you will want to look at this speaker. I ultimately returned it because I couldn't jam out as loud as I like to every now and then. I noticed a big difference when you jump from the $200 to the $300 range with Bluetooth speakers. I opted for a Fugoo XL over the Bose sound link due to the insane battery life and the fact they are virtually indestructible for someone life myself that goes to the beach a lot. I will say the sound link had a little deeper bass.

Bose has done it again with this mini bluetooth speaker. How they managed to fit all the power into something so small is beyond me. This thing pairs very easily and the charge pad is extremely convenient. Spend the little extra money over the other brands and just buy this already. I use this mainly in the master bedroom/bathroom and have no problems with sound quality or listening to music while in the shower. Seriously considering purchasing more for other areas of the house and as gifts! Something that everybody can use. Have used this for a week so far and the battery is still at 70%. This will be the perfect solution for a speaker while traveling as well! Definitely would recommend to anybody!

I purchased one for myself a couple years ago, and absolutely love it! Great sound, easy to transport, and the battery lasts for hours! I bought this one for my mom for her birthday

This Bose speaker has great sound quality and is very versatile with its bluetooth capabilities. The fact that it so small and portable is fantastic.

The Bose mini speaker sounds better than many larger and more expensive ones. The setup using Bluetooth is quick and easy. The speaker is very portable up to the limit of the blue tooth connection.

I bought the original Soundlink Mini about three years ago and have been very happy with it. I used it at home and at my office. In my office, I had to keep it at a low volume but it never sounded muffled and delivered clear and crisp highs and sonorous lows. At home with the volume cranked up, it never failed to deliver. When the updated version came out, I hesitated but the updates made it worth jumping into the newer version. My original unit is now gracing my sister's home. The ability to use it as a speakerphone is a handy feature. Callers have noted that my voice sounds clear. An incoming call can be answered (or refused) with a tap of a button on top of the unit. For me, the more noteworthy improvement is in the Bluetooth implementation. This newer unit has the ability to remember up to eight paired devices and actively (and concurrently) be paired with two of them. When you turn it on, the unit announces the battery level and to which two devices it is paired. (The audible prompts can be disabled.) At that point, it will play content from the first device which is outputting audio content. If that device stops and the other device starts playing, the speaker will seamlessly switch to that second device. My device automatically connects to my laptop and smartphone. It remembers my Kindle Fire and, if the laptop is off, will connect to the Kindle. Very clever. Bose has replicated this Bluetooth implementation on their other devices. They have also increased the battery life and changed from a proprietary charging connector to a standard mini-USB port. All-in-all a worthy update.

Great sound from such a small device and very easy to carry around. Easy to charge with the doc. Connects very easily with Bluetooth devices.

I have the Bose ColorSound, but this speaker is much sleeker, better sound, and more portable. Very lightweight. It's a little more than the ColorSound model, but worth it.

Portability and sound quality are both amazing characteristics. Battery life is also pretty good. Overall, very pleased with the purchase.

Great little speaker. Nice to have the option for both bluetooth and cable input. This thing is about the size of a large burrito but puts out really nice sound. It is bass oriented which can make for some not so great reproduction. The secret is to play with the equalizer on the device providing the music until you get the results you want. Makes a big difference. For listening on the porch, in the shop or just to have personal music in a small space it really is awesome. Don't expect it to fill your house with sound though. Not what it's designed for. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to the price. At half the price it would have been perfect but it's a Bose. If you're looking for a great little portable speaker and have the money, it's a good buy.

Very impressed with the crisp sound that comes out of such a small speaker. Love how compact it is and the fact that you can throw it in a carry on bag while traveling. Glad I bought it.

You have choices out there. Bose is the best. It's Best in class-- it's small, portable and powerful. In fact, at this price point it's an overachiever. I have other Bose products-- this one fits my needs. While docked and charging I have it linked to my desktop computer, pushing plenty of high quality high fidelity sound . When I need a portable device I just pick it up and link it and I'm on the go with a very powerful sound tool.

I purchased this item for my wife's birthday so she can listen to music at her place of work using her iPhone or iPad. Excellent build quality as you would expect from Bose and outstanding bass response from such a small package. Additional pluses: The unit uses voice to indicate bluetooth connectivity and battery strength. It also doubles as a speakerphone when answering a call from a connected phone. A charging dock/base is included and connects to a wall charger via mini-USB cable. Great for grab-n-go charging.

Not generally a fan of Bose, but the sound of this little box is amazing. The very small size makes it perfect for travel. Compared to JBL and others. A bit pricey, of course.

tonal quality is excellent, have used it indoors and also outside around our pool - volume is more than adequate. Battery life is good. Highly recommended.
