    Pleasant and Powerful Sound Experience!

I am going to start by saying how pleased I feel to hear my favorites songs on this speaker. It is truly amazing. I have read some blogs from audiophiles that are reluctant of Bose technology and the way it processes the sound. I am not a sound engineer or expert, but I am definitely a music lover. And I know very well how every song in my music collection should sound because I’ve heard them so many times and selected them carefully, and what I hear from this speaker is awesome. For example, the bell at the beginning of the John Lennon’s song, starting over, is so clear and powerful, not overloaded, and John Lennon’s voice as well. Or the bass of the Lorde’s song Royals, it sounds so “real and deep” or the guitar in Midnight Special, crystal clear. I really enjoyed to hear them, and those were only examples I can tell you about many others, like Classical music, etc. You have to think that those songs were recorded in Stereo, and this is just one speaker (probably multiple different little ones inside this box, I don’t know much about the design or technology), but at the end what matters is how you feel, and what you hear is fidelity reliable, and this Bose Revolve has exceeded my expectations. I was willing to try how it feels the 360 coverage, since this is not a 2 Stereo speakers, and play my music in a room 24x24 that I was remodeling, and while I was assembling a desk, I left the speaker on a table at the center of the room, and I found out a stereo system was no needed to experience surround sound, the sound covered the whole room. I was moving around the room and clearly perceived all the instruments and details that I didn’t noticed before with other speakers. Sometimes with other Bluetooth speakers I needed to equalize the sound. On this Bose I didn’t need to equalize anything, which that means a lot. Now, I have to admit there were very little information in the instruction manual, but really the setup is very intuitive. You can pair it with your phone as a Bluetooth device, it will show listed as “Bose Revolve+II Soundlink. But I hope this review will be enough to guide you through all the great functions this unit has, to explore all of them for me was worth it. You can install the Bose Connect app. This can be found either Google Play or App Store, once you installed you can create your account, then it I will look for the Bose Devices, and once it found it, it will ask you to drag down icon of your device to connect it. If you are not a fan of having too much apps install it in your phone, (as I am ) from the music quality perspective you would not see any difference of having the Bose app installed, however it will give you the option to have the Firmware of the speaker up to date, and the other advantage is that you can create a Party Mode, with a second Bose Soundlink Speaker (it doesn’t have to be revolve model) , which is a really cool feature. Other functions listed are “Auto-off timer”, “Voice prompts”, “Prompt Language”, “Battery Indicator”, and a “playback mode”, the operation of all these functions are very intuitive. The Bose Revolve comes with a USB Power adapter and a USB-a to Micro USB cable. It takes around one hour to fully charge it. Once you turn on the unit, you can navigate through the different languages using the plus/minus buttons that are located on the top of the speaker. You will find, the power Button, the Bluetooth, plus/minus volume control, there is a function button between volume buttons that will allow you to operate the forward (press 2 times), reverse(3), pause or play (1) of the songs if you are away of your phone, and it will allow you to enable the microphone, so you can have phone calls through this speaker, or if you have your google assistant enable or SIRI on your phone you can ask or do the same things you do with you google assistant with your cell phone, so it is like a extension (mic and speakers) of your phone The Button on the right, is for input selection. Once you pressed it, it will disconnect your Bluetooth and it will have enable, either the 3.5mm stereo Auxiliary input, or the Micro-B USB input, both located at the base. So I tried the first option, using an old Sony CD player and works flawlessly. So if you are one of those audio perfectionist that thinks Bluetooth technology compression change the sound of a song while is streaming, this is another way you can listen your music. The Micro USB input, will allow to use the Bose Revolve as an USB speaker audio for your computer. I connected it using the Bose USB cable provided to my Windows 10 computer, and it will show as Bose speaker Device, and play music or sounds immediately. However the USB and AUX sources on the speakers will only allow for audio output and not the microphone. While you can use the speaker for audio during your phone calls, the microphone will not be available for these 2 functions. Another cool feature is the NFC function (I have to say that I discovered by accident while I was reading the manual), because I will never guessed that the NFC was located on the Bose letters that are on top of the unit. So, if you smartphone has NFC enabled, you just put your phone on top and it will turn on the speaker, connect it Bluetooth, and continue playing music were it left. So far the speaker has played 7 hours in a row, and the Batt indicator still shows yellow, no degraded performance. Finally at the base, you will find a hole where you can mount any universal tripod, for irregular surfaces, which is a very clever feature, and if you love the flexibility to have a Charger cradle base, the same charging cradle from Revolve+ Series II is compatible with Series II. As soon as I realized that the speaker has this option available I bought it in Best buy and it is very affordable. This base is designed to give you the flexibility to mount and unmount the Bose with 0 hassle, without looking to connect the USB cable and no ugly cables on the table but instead a nice Bose base good-looking charger. Making a comparison with other Bluetooth speakers, the Bose Revolve +II is very easy to manage, I think the main concept here is simplicity, but with a great quality sound, there is nothing to adjust here or to equalize because it doesn’t need to, the outcome is highly satisfactory and powerful. Another successful product from Bose that I really enjoyed to have it, and proud to show to my friends as well.

I have had a lot of bluetooth speakers and I have to say this one by far is the best I have ever had. I have had speakers by Sony, Anker, Harmon Kardon and Acoustic Research and this one blows them out of the water. Bluetooth range is at least 30 feet, battery life is as advertised. Easily paired with my phone and laptop. It announces the state of charge on the battery and also tells you what it is paired with when you turn it on. Being that it is round it has great sound dispersion but it really shines when you place it against a wall or in a corner so it can use them as a soundboard it greatly increases the bass response. Overall soundfield is well balanced and extremely crisp and clear. Volume does go loud enough to bother the neighbors. The only negatives i can find is it is not USB-C capable for charging and it is so new Bose does not have it on their app. yet. Other than that I cannot recommend it enough. Not cheap but worth every penney

I returned this speaker and never even opened the box. Only reason I returned it was because it uses the old micro usb charger (I didn’t know when I bought) I love Bose products. But I feel like for the money your spending it should be updated to the new micro c connector.

Best portable speaker I have ever owed. Strong, powerful sound from such a small device that is sleek and stylish to boot. Durable and works well with blue tooth. I highly recommend this product if you're looking for a new speaker.

For its size, this speaker puts out tremendous volume. As a Bose speaker you expect it to have quality sound and this speaker certainly delivers. Excellent bass for a speaker this small, full sound with great mids and highs. What amazes me is due to its round shape you hear the same quality sound coming from the speaker no matter where it is sitting. Front/back/sides, doesn't matter, the same sound is produced around the 360 degree speaker perimeter, pretty awesome. I will definitely be buying a 2nd speaker to link them and get stereo/left/right sounds out of them. I can't wait for the weather to warm up because they will make a great addition to our backyard patio for BBQ's and entertaining. Overall, fantastic bluetooth speaker.

I’ve tried about a half-dozen Bluetooth speakers, and all have been good experiences. This Bose Revolve+ II is no different. From opening the box to listening to pairing to my phone to listening to Linda Ronstadt on Youtube took all of a minute-and-a-half. Connect the power cord, turn it on, verify language selection, it then says ready for pairing, find it on your phone’s Bluetooth setup screen, pair it, and start some music. Out of the box, the device had about a 20% battery charge. I downloaded and installed on my phone the Bose Connect app, and it recognized the device immediately. Before I could do anything, though, it said that I needed to charge it more than 20%, but it didn’t say how much more was needed. After about 15 minutes of charging, it then went into an automatic firmware upgrade process that took a good half-hour. Once completed, though, the app can be used to control the device once audio from another source, such as youtube, is playing. But this makes me wonder what is the point of using the app? I can control everything about the device, including volume levels, from youtube. The app does allow monitoring of the device’s battery level and other settings. One thing the app is needed for is to daisy-chain these devices in “party mode.” I have only one device, so I could not test this. Overall, this is very nice bluetooth speaker. The most important aspect is the sound quality, and it is excellent, with a deep base and a rich sound. There is a convenienty carry handle as well. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a bluetooth speaker.

Good sounding bluetooth speaker with a above average sound. Bass can be lacking sometimes but the clarity, once your source has been EQ'd, sounds good. I have another name brand speaker that I use on the patio for pool parties to compare this too and I like the Bose. However, it doesn't sound as full and as complete as my other speaker. I do like how small and versatile it is and you get really good sound out of it. Pairing was a breeze and it always tells you what it is connected to. The charger is nice but still the older micro USB. Overall, nice little speaker and gets the job done. Gets plenty loud without distortion and sounds good doing it.

My favorite portable speaker. It's tiny but it packs a punch and the battery lasts much longer than professional reviews led me to believe. It's also fairly durable. I use it in a warehouse and it fills the entire space for us while working. Definitely get a case.

Good sturdy build quality and light weight. Nice soft touch buttons. Soft carry handle. 360° sound can hear from all sides of speaker. Can pair to another Bose speaker and use in party mode or stereo mode. Compared to other speakers that I use, this one is missing some key features and sound quality gets lost with more volume. Mainly the App has no EQ so as you turn up the volume, the bass overcomes the vocal and becomes very muddy. Clarity is definitely lost. At lower or mid volume is pretty decent. I do think that Bose is relying on their name for sales but at the current price should offer more control from the app (EQ) to customize the sound. The App itself does work good and connects quickly. The speaker does have water resistance if caught outside in the rain but not deeply submersible. You can order a Bose wireless charge base. You can attach the speaker to the top of a tripod with built in universal thread. You can use Siri or Google assistant built in. I have had this speaker for approximately 2 weeks and used it every other day for approximately 1 hour and battery has been decent. Power Cable connection is Micro USB A which surprised me as I was expecting USB C which most of my devices now use. The charging plug end is flat and square and measures 2.5" X 2" and makes plugging into a power strip not ideal but ok if you just plugging into a wall socket. Over All if you don't mind the price tag and don't care about Equalizing the sound but are mainly looking for loud party option then this is the speaker to get!

This is a nice little speaker. The battery life is amazing. If I'm not regularly using it outside, it will last just about forever. The water/dust-proofing is also very nice for any sudden inclement weather, or if you just want to take a shower without interrupting your favorite podcast. The only point of contention that I have is the sound quality. It is good, don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure that it is up to par for Bose. I have a pair of their wired headphones that I've used for years, and also an older soundbar/stand that the TV sits on. Both of those sound amazing (particularly the TV speaker), but this is definitely not as full of a sound. If you do have an outdoor gathering, it is nice that it has a screw-socket so that you can set it on a tripod, and have it elevated, and the sound is fairly even all the way around - there are a couple of directions where it isn't quite as loud, but this is a fairly narrow range of it's 360 degree projection. Overall, this is nice, but I'm not sure that there is much use for a product like this other than outdoor gatherings. If you are looking forward to entertaining once we are out of this world-wide nightmare, by all means, jump on this.

Hey MurphyR, I am so glad that you are enjoying your new speaker. Our SoundLink Revolve II, is one of our best performing portable Bluetooth speakers yet. It delivers true 360° sound for consistent, uniform coverage. Place it in the center of the room and everyone gets the same experience. Or set it near a wall and sound will radiate and reflect around the room, immersing you. In the speaker, there's a singular downward-facing transducer to deliver the 360° sound. I would recommend we make sure no items/obstacles are blocking the products grille to achieve the full sound experience.
