When it comes to a product like the Bose Soundlink Revolve Bluetooth Speaker II, the first thing you would expect is that it sounds like a quality Bose product. You won't be disappointed. This definitely sounds like it came from Bose. The speaker is shaped like a tapered cylinder. It stands about 6 inches tall and has a diameter of about 3 inches. There is really no front or back, as it disburses the sound in a full 360 degrees. The volume is the same, regardless of which direction it is facing. It is great for sitting in the middle of a table, with people sitting around it. The sound is very impressive for a speaker of this size. It has plenty of bass, midrange, and treble with no distortion at any volume level. The speaker has 6 buttons on the top. There is a power button, an input source button, up and down volume buttons, a Bluetooth on/off button and a multi-function button. To play or pause, you press the multi-function button once. Press it twice to skip forward and 3 times to skip backwards. Pressing and holding the multi-function button will bring up Siri or Google Assistant if connected to a phone. It can also be used to answer your phone when connected. It’s not the most intuitive button, but it does serve its purpose. As you the device, the speaker provides verbal guidance about what is happening. As an example, pressing the power button will tell you the percentage of battery charge remaining, and what the speaker is connected to. Pressing the input source button will tell you what audio source to use, such as aux or USB. Bose Connect is an Android or IOS based app to give you even more control over the speaker. With the app, you can make connections to the speaker, set an auto-off timer, turn on or off the voice prompts, and change the language of the prompts. It also allows you to use “Party Mode” which gives you the ability to channel your audio through multiple speakers at the same time. I only have one, so I couldn’t try out this feature. The speaker has a rated battery life of 13 hours, but I have used it longer than that between charges. You can recharge the unit via an optional docking station, or via a micro-USB connection. The speaker also has a 3.5mm auxiliary port. It has a threaded connection on the bottom, so you can mount the speaker on a small tripod if you like. It has an IP rating of IP55 for water and dust resistance, allowing you to use it outdoors without fear of damaging it. The drawbacks are few. It’s 2021 and the device should have a USB-C connection as opposed to a micro-USB. The only other thing I found is that the multi-function button is not very intuitive. I think that a few more dedicated buttons would make it a little easier to use. Overall, I recommend this speaker and think you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Hi Nelson, Before you return the speaker, I'd love to help you get your voice assistant working. The microphone in the speaker works as an extension of the phone or tablet it is connected to. By pressing and holding the multifunction button you can activate and use the voice assistant on your connected device.

Wish I could give it less than one star. Overpriced garbage which is a huge surprise from Bose. I worried at how small it was when I picked it up after ordering online. As soon as I connected it to my laptop which was more problematic than it should have been I realized it was going to be returned. very poor sound quality even at low volume and it only got worse when the volume was raised.

      Hi Danny,

      Sorry to hear that you've been left disappointed with your Revolve II. The product sizing is 6" H x 3.25" W (15.2 cm x 8.3 cm), if you'd rather a larger speaker I'd take a look at our Revolve II+ which is 7.25" H x 4.125" W (18.4 cm x 10.5 cm).

As for the audio quality, if you still have your speaker, take a look at our guide here: https://bose.life/3FBEMl1 If this persists, do not hesitate to contact your local Bose product support team.

I bought this speaker because the reviews were great and I have had a bose speaker before, I have only used it maybe three or four times and it doesn't hold a charge. It goes from 100% to 20% to completely dead in 2 hours. Not worth the money.

      Hello Kunal,

I'm surprised you were missing parts from the box. If this was a new in box purchase then please contact us https://bose.life/contact for help with getting a replacement USB-C cable. Please be aware though that the speaker does not come with a USB charger in most regions.

The sound quality and volume levels are terrible. So bad in fact, I won’t disrespect the music by playing it through this speaker it’s going back today and I only bought it yesterday. All of the sound is very low quality I’ve heard better from a cellphone and using a cup to amplify the music... Disappointed that such a name as Bose would put out such poor audio.

Great sound, but the idle battery life is terrible! I use it for a few hours, charge it fully and within a couple weeks go back to use it and the battery is either under 50% (amber light) or completely dead. I wouldn’t buy it again. What good is a speaker that is always dead?

      Hello,

The SoundLink Revolve II makes use of a BLE connection which means that when powered off it will always remain on via a LE (low energy) connection, that means you can power it on remotely from a paired device like a computer.
