Awesome Bose Sound..... but no charger?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The day my Revolve ll arrived I was very excited to try it out. When unboxing you find the usual Bose quality from the packaging to the beautiful design of this speaker. Surprisingly though, you'll get a charging cable but no charger. A nice charging base is available for purchase separately, but the speaker does not arrive precharged, so I hope you have a charger. I have many chargers. My house seems to be littered with them. And not a single one was compatible with the provided charging cable. The cable is Micro USB to USB. I plugged it into a wall out,et with USB ports. It wouldn't charge. I tried plugging it it into my laptop, still no joy. I tried a phone charger. Sadness. It was disappointing to be stopped short for lack of a charger that should be included with a $200 device. The next day I spent $25 on a Belkin USB charger, that finally did the trick. Once I got past the annoyance of the missing charger, it was pure Bose goodness all the way. Deep, rich sound filled a very large room. The bass was full and deep without overpowering everything else. The treble was crisp and clear without being tinny. This is an attractive speaker that won't look out of place in your office or living room. The metal grille is seamless and you don't notice it right away, but it looks really cool. I think metal grilles on speakers are so much nicer than cloth. Cloth grilles get dusty and look like crap and it's hard to get them clean. The Revolve ll can just be wiped clean if it gets dirty. It's water resistant too, so it's perfect for outdoor gatherings. Connecting via Bluetooth was a breeze, and it can also be paired with Bose Home speakers. And with the Bose Connect App you can use Stereo Mode for dedicated left and right playback. You can also access Siri or Google Assistant from the speakers multi function button. Overall, this speaker is excellent. It looks sharp and sounds fantastic, but, the lack of a charger will cost them a star.

Dissatisfied with purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just purchased today, it's been on the charger for over 5 hours and is still at 20%. When I first opened the box, the tape seal had been opened, but everything was there, but I'm kind of thinking it had already been returned before I got it, probably for the same reason, not a very good business practice Best Buy!

Small Bluetooth speaker with full sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always enjoyed Bose products and this is a great little speaker with awesome sound. It is fairly small at just under 6” tall and weighs just under 1.5 lbs. it is fairly heavy for its size, it seems very well made. On the bottom it is threaded so you could mount it on a charging cradle or a stand or something. It reminds me of a camera mount. There is also a large rubber ring on the bottom which helps keep it from slipping. I could see it being used in a boat and not sliding around. The controls are on top. The top is covered in rubber, so the buttons are protected from the elements so it can be used outside. The sound is great and it sends sound in all directions. If you didn’t know what size it was, based on the sound it puts out, you would think it was much larger. But that is something that Bose has done well for a long time. The Bluetooth works flawlessly. Once connected it will easily connect to that device easily. In fact my wife can use the speaker in one room and even if her phone is closed in another room, it easily connects and starts playing whatever she last played on her phone. I can’t say enough positive things about it. I would highly recommend this mini speaker.

Small but sound is WOW!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Search NO more for a indoor/outdoor speaker, Bose has done a fantastic job and price, well, you get what you pay for right. I've been searching for a bluetooth speaker for our outdoor space without running wiring and all that mess. With this speaker you can hear from any angle 360 degree with this little guy. so awesome! I had mine sitting on side of the hottub and it fell in submerged all the way before I could grab it and still works!! I thought it would be toast! Me and my wife where outside last weekend started about 6pm and we called it a night about 2:30am just listen to music playing in the hottub and a few drinks we grab the speaker went in the house and it still had 20% battery life left. We looked at each other and we both had same thought, our last speaker lasted 6hrs if we were lucky! The sound is just incredible from a small speaker. I personally like for my sound to be even maybe even more bass than treble and this speaker can handle it, Hip Hop, Rock, Country music it doesn't matter it all sounds excellent. This speaker is well worth every penny but they need to work on there companion app it has a hard time connecting to your products BOSE please fix!

Bose never disappoints!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the best speakers in this price range available in the market. Setup is super easy and quick. The build of the product is of great quality and feels premium. Audio quality is awesome with a pretty good bass for a speaker of this size. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of bass coming out of this speaker. Since it is cylindrical, it delivers 360 degree sound. The music remains solid and robust regardless of our position. Songs can be paused and skipped using the buttons on the speaker. The buttons are very responsive and are very close to feather touch. There’s a warmth to the sound that makes it enjoyable to listen to. Battery charge is pretty good, I charged it fully and i didn’t have to recharge for almost 3 weeks at 1 hour per day usage. Great product from Bose! I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Small but Very Good Sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As has been my long experience with Bose products, this small but powerful speaker is a high-quality product that puts out sound that exceeds expectations based on its size. Clearly the Soundlink Revolve II is a well-engineered speaker with a few thoughtful features. Connectivity to the Bose app was virtually instantaneous and was confirmed by a voice prompt from the speaker. When connected, it automatically updated speaker software. There is a multi-use button that allows you to select your language and when this is done, there is also a voice confirmation. I cannot say this is a pretty speaker (the “squished cylinder” look is not a favorite) but at only 6” tall it can be easily hidden, but audibly delightfully present. It feels very solid and durable. The simplicity I experienced in connectivity is also evident with the minimal controls which consist of 6 buttons on top: On/Off, Volume Up, Volume Down, Bluetooth, Multifunction, and Share which permits the speaker to connect wirelessly to others. Once connected to a phone via Bluetooth, calls can be answered or placed through it. On the bottom, there is a circular rubber ring that holds the speaker solidly in place. And although not mentioned in the minimalist literature provided, there is a female thread that fits a tripod (and other stands, I assume) as well as four small “dots” which look like they are intended to fit and connect the Soundlink Revolve II to a product-specific stand. Again, I am speculating as there is no mention of these by Bose. OK, let’s get to the essence: The sound is very good. If this were not a Bose product, I’d say “surprisingly” but this is the kind of engineering for which the company is known. Even at high volume, the sound was not noticeably distorted and can fill a modestly-sized room. This product’s foci are portability, ease of use, and decent sound. It achieves all three with simplicity and high quality.

Posted .Hey John, I am so glad to hear that you love your new SoundLink Revolve II. It's great hear you are enjoying the design and the easy to use buttons. The dots on the bottom of the speaker are so you can add the optional charging dock, to keep the speaker on charge at all times. I hope this helps!

Nice little speaker, big sound!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One thing that always used to amaze me about Bose products in the past is how they pack so much sound in such a small package. Today, the competition has caught on in some respects as expected. That said, I look for Bose as a name because it's well known for high quality big sound from small sizes. This Revolve Soundlink II is no different, Enormous, room filling, all around sound with great bass reflex to boot. Setup over bluetooth was easy the first time around, then I updated the firmware and ran into a bit of an issue reconnecting. I contacted Bose and they got back to me the same day with possible issues. After some troubleshooting, my Android phone wouldn't connect, but my daughter's iPhone did. Sometimes, I find little things like restarting your phone, do the trick since my guess is, the app also updated. Sure enough, after doing that, it connected instantly. Apparently, you can connect multiple units for stereo or party modes from the same phone. In the bottom center of the speaker, there's a screw-in slot for more permanent mounting uses. Being the second iteration of this Revolve series, it addresses some of the issues of the previous unit. For example, instead of being water resistant, it's now waterproof making it poolside ready. The battery feels quite strong and can probably go all day for those pool parties we dream of having in the summer. Charging was a bit odd, I plugged it into a 5w charger when it came in, but it didn't charge. Directions say to use a 1.5A charger though just a cable is given unless you opt for the charging base (extra $30) so I found a charger among the plethora I have from other devices and it charged just fine. Frankly, at this price point, I would've expected the cradle to be included. What impresses me is the fact that the sound is just as clear and loud from behind the speaker as from the front, likely due to the down-firing configuration that bounces sound in every direction. I had it outside the other day while doing yardwork and at 70% volume, it was more than enough to be clearly heard 50ft away regardless of where I was in relation to it. The Revolve Soundlink II is better than the original and sounds like a Bose; it's a win win.

Big Sound, Small Size, Great Buy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose SoundLink Revolve II is a great small portable Bluetooth speaker that puts out big, booming sound. Visually it looks great, being a nice and sleek matte black, it'll look good in your home or just out and about. Set up is easy and practically effortless, it has a Google voice connect button so you can use voice commands as well as 3.5mm and USB-B ports for alternate ways to connect besides Bluetooth. There were only 2 issues I had with the speaker. One, it doesn't use a type-c port, my phone uses a type-c port/cable and doesn't have a 3.5mm port anymore so I'd prefer type-c connections. Two, the Bose connect app is pretty minimal with sound/Google voice control and really just functions as a means to install speaker updates and basic control over your music. There are some great positives that I loved from this speaker. The sound quality is amazing, which isn't surprising from Bose. I don't need to have the volume high to even fill the room with deep and encompassing sound. The battery life is 13hrs. It has a waterproof IP55 rating, which is great since I'll be taking my speaker with me when I fish and need it to be able to handle splashes and spills. Overall, I love the Soundlinnk Revolve II and definitely recommend it if your looking for great sound quality in a package that doesn't take up any space and looks great.
