DISCLAIMER: In testing the device, I used a BT connection to a Samsung Galaxy S7. This little BOSE Revolve+ Bluetooth (BT) speaker really packs a punch and provides sound from 360-degrees unlike most speakers. This is great for putting in the middle of a living room instead of having to put near a wall aiming outward at the room. Same goes for tailgating or ball park use - everyone can enjoy from all directions. The handle on the Revolve+ is also handy for carrying – a feature not on the smaller and regular Revolve unit. It is not an ideal-shaped item to carry without a handle. OBSERVATIONS: 1. I received the unit with 30% power. It took 2.5 hours to get to 100% which was shown by the BOSE Connect app. Connection to the app was simple. Though there is no NFC symbol on the unit, if you have an android phone with NFC capabilities, you can touch the phone to the top of the unit (where the BOSE logo is), and the 2 will link automatically. Great feature. 2. Settings in the app are simple. One of the features I immediately turned off was the lady voice that spoke every time I performed an action. You can also have it power off the unit after x number of minutes or never. 3. Volume is 2-fold. You can control the volume via phone/device or via the unit/app. Whichever you use, it’s good to turn up the volume to 100% on the volume option you choose NOT to modify. 4. The app has semi-control of the song you are listening to, depending on the app you are using. If using Pandora, it will show the song details at the bottom of the BOSE app. There, you can slide up the details and select pause/play or forward/skip. However, using an app that BOSE is not familiar with will show “unknown” as the song, and you won’t be able to control it (say, the WinAmp app). I imagine it will work well with most current web-based audio services. 5. 2 inputs on the rear-bottom of the unit are 3.5mm jack for analog input and a micro-USB port for charging. If using the charging cradle, the charging cord will go into the base instead of the unit itself. 6. Phone calls can be made, however when I did get a call on the device that was connected to the Revolve+, the music stopped; however, I had to hit the mode button in order for the BOSE to take over the audio call connection. I could hit the mode button again to talk on the phone itself. After the phone call was over, the music continued to play. 7. Volume can be controlled by the +/- buttons on the top of the unit or via the BOSE app. I only have a JBL Charge speaker to compare it to, and the sound difference was worlds apart better in favor of the BOSE. It had decent bass along with the highs you would expect. A full spectrum of sound frequency was used and was very balanced overall. The instruction booklet was mostly pictures and didn’t mention the AUX button on the top of the unit at all. I figured it out, but that’s something that was completely omitted from the instructions. Whichever you choose (BT or AUX), a small light beside each button will illuminate. A battery light will also light up next to the power button showing the estimated power remaining (>50% green) however the exact power is always shown on the BOSE app in 10% increments. Overall, a great compact product that's portable, has a long battery life (~10 hrs), and sounds better than BOSE's other compact speaker systems in the Soundlink family.

I've owned a number of Bose products in the past, and their commitment to development and advancement of technology continues to amaze me! CONSTRUCTION: This thing is beautifully made with anodized aluminum forming the body and brushed soft-touch plastics forming the base and top where the buttons are. The heavy rope that makes up the handle is a nice touch as well, it takes a moment to realize that's a flexible piece of the product. There are the usual holes all the way around the body of the speaker for emitting sound as well as embedded micro usb and 1/8-inch plug ports on the side, with contacts on the bottom for the (separately purchased :(...) charging dock. The speaker is quite heavy between what I assume are the battery and the drivers inside... PAIRING/CONTROLS The controls on top are clearly labeled with two multi-function buttons that I was able to figure out to pair without cracking the manual open once. Controls are concise and you feel a solid button press under your fingertip. Controls are also embedded underneath the flexible soft touch plastic on top, presumably to add more water resistance. SOUND: The Sound that comes from this thing... is amazing for it's size. I have to say that it actually gets LOUDER and more clear when placed on something with some mass such as a solid floor or a granite countertop, and can lead to a lack of low end when used in a hanging or handheld situation. This is of course par for Bose products, but it's still surprising the first time you turn it up how clear and crisp the sound is. BATTERY LIFE: So far I've only managed to completely kill it a few times, but it seems to get at least the reported 10 hours every time I charge it. It goes so long between charges it makes it hard to remember. OVERALL: I love this thing. I have been careful not to expose it to the elements too much as it's still new, but I'm sure as the luster wears off I'll eventually end up testing the water resistance of it whether I mean to or not. For now I'm enjoying the vertical form factor, and the quality of sound that I'm getting and it's firmly replaced my Jambox.

I was very pumped to hear this speaker when I got it. I have always wanted to hear a true, 360 degree speaker. I know that the UE Boom and Megaboom claim to have 360 degree sound, but I feel like their waterproof cloth cover kills a lot of the treble that would otherwise be existent. The Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus is truly amazing! I am impressed every time I hear it. I know that most speakers nowadays have a lot more bass than you would think.. We have reached a time where tiny boxes produce what larger boxes used to produce in the low end department. Not only does my Revolve outperform my JBL Charge 3 in the low end department, the mids and highs are so different, that I can’t for the life of me enjoy the Charge 3 knowing I have the Revolve. It’s simply so superior in sound quality. I was also impressed to see that they made it water resistant. It was a bold step in the right direction. I am also glad that they didn’t make it completely waterproof, because as I mentioned earlier regarding the Boom, waterproofing I feel soundproofs the highs. Good decision, Bose! Sorry for the rant, but long story short, the Bose Soundlink Revolve, while somewhat pricy, is absolutely worth every penny, for those looking for premium, affordable, and most importantly portable audio. I was not disappointed in any way. I love that there is a dedicated aux button, and that even if an aux cable is plugged in, you can still be in bluetooth mode. I play the speaker in my bathroom, and it honestly performs like the state of the art stereo system I wish I could fit in there… IT IS.. LOUD!!! But in a clean way, of course.. No distortion whatsoever in my experience. Great attention to detail was practiced when crafting this masterpiece. The handle is a very convenient addition, because in my opinion the shape and size of the speaker makes it awkward to carry otherwise. I haven’t the $200 “Revolve” speaker, but I can guarantee you that that also outperforms the JBL handsomely. I am 100% satisfied with this speaker, and I actually prefer to play it through the aux function. The sound is obviously the best this way, and I truly mean THE BEST. I would recommend this speaker to anyone that loves music and can’t be away from it and also wants to show off their taste to those around him. I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with it.

    Bose never stops spoiling me

Bose never stops suprising me Music is a personal pleasure pressure of mine and having a good device for me to enjoy it is something that Bose always knows how to make possible. As soon as I saw that Bose was coming with a new product I MUST have it so I did. Let me address my opinion and review in a list mode so it is more helpful for everyone. Things I like: 1. Design. Yes, I LOVE the way this speaker looks is amazing, it is elegant, it is discreet, and have kind of a retro-modern kind of looks that I believe is astonishing and simple... 2. Sound quality: the sound quality of my revolve+ is amazing. Is not just power, is not just loud noise, is purity and quality, is strong sound and amazing bass with no distortion. It is fantastic the way this thing sounds. 3. Simplicity: it is very simple to use, it is pretty much "plug and play", just charge it, turn it on and pair it (or use the USB or Aux port) and enjoy... yes is that simple... and the app (Bose Connect) is very easy to use and pretty much self-explanatory. 4. Works under the rain: YES, true that... experienced myself and yes it is true!!! and not a single damage or problem. 5. Quality of materials: YOU CAN FEEL THE QUALITY... yes, it is awesome quality. All feel perfect, every button feel high quality, every curve is well design, is BOSE quality as its best. Things to improve: 1. Limited: Yes, upper I mention the simplicity as a strong pro of this device, but I believe the app is a little bit too simple, which makes it very limited of use (unlike similar products of the SoundTouch family), which means that depends entirely on your phone to operate...maybe I am going to picky, but I will love to be able to configure something through the app. 2. The holder: Great Idea, but looks kind of cheap and make the device looks cheaper. I feel that it is also damaging a little bit the overall design. In conclusion, I love it, it is fantastic and I totally recommend it to everyone if you like powerful sound for your outside and inside, please do yourself a favor and purchase it... truly, it is amazing for me and in my experience.

Bose Soundlink Revolve+ Bluetooth Speaker I signed up to review this new Bose Soundlink Revolve+ speaker without having ever seen it. From having owned other Bose products, I expected a solid, well built speaker with excellent sound quality. Unlike other products I have tested, this speaker is new and not available in stores yet, not even a leaked photo on the web could be found! After waiting several weeks, the package finally arrived, having seen the other Bose speakers, I was expecting something similar: small rectangle or square and easy to take along in a backpack. What I got, however, was a round cylinder, approximately 7” tall (not including the carrying handle). To describe it best, it sort of looks like a lantern you would take camping. The top of the cylinder is where you’d find all the buttons to control volume, pair devices etc. I have to say, initially, I was a bit disappointed, I was hoping for something more compact. The build quality is typical Bose, solid construction (black metal cylinder with rubberized top and bottom) and excellent fit and finish. Included in the box are the speaker, a microUSB charging cable/wall plug, and instructions. The wall plug is designed to be plugged into a socket without extending too far form the wall, a nice touch. I made use of this by plugging it behind a dresser that I normally don’t plug things into due to the lack of clearance between the outlet and the dresser. Setup: Pairing the Soundlink Revolve+ to my devices couldn’t have been easier, press and hold the bluetooth button for 2 seconds, a blue light blinks and a clear voice says “ready to pair”. I have 3 devices paired to it currently: iPad, iPhone and iMac. When the device is turned on, it tells you the % battery life left and what devices it’s connected to. You can toggle through the connected devices by pressing the Bluetooth button. This is impressive as I’ve had other bluetooth speakers that was only able to connect to 1 device at a time. For example, if it was connected to my iPad and I wanted to connect to my phone, I’d have to turn off bluetooth on the iPad and force it to connect to my phone. Features: In addition to being a bluetooth speaker, this device is also a speaker phone. According to the manual, its’ splash resistant as well, but it can’t be submerged in water. I have not tested this feature yet. Multifunction button is great, I’ve used it to skip songs, hold it down for Siri functions, and answer and end calls. It also features a 3.5mm headphone jack input so you can plug in your favorite non-bluetooth device as a source. Let there be music! The sound quality is fantastic! I was blown away by the amount of sound this little device can put out, it can easily fill an entire room with sound (think bedroom size)! I love the heavy mids and base; this easily blows the other bluetooth speakers I’ve owned out of the water!I was watching Netflix on my iPad connected to this little speaker and it sounded fantastic, the voices crips and the intro music loud with that deep base! My wife had to ask me to turn down the sound, and she was upstairs! Oh, and remember how I wasn't thrilled about the design? The more time I spent with this speaker, the more I liked it! The handle makes it easy to carry around the house. With the round cylinder design, the sound isn’t directional, I can place this in the middle of the table and everyone would hear the sound equally. Conclusion: Bose has done it again with this new bluetooth speaker. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good quality, versatile speaker. I can see this coming in handy for backyard BBQ’s, pool parties, camping or just sneaking off to a quiet room and catching up on Netflix shows. Battery life so far, is very good. I’ve used it several hours and it still tells me 60%.

Size Doesn't Matter In This Situation

I needed a new speaker, a wireless one that works for me at work yet still works amazing while I'm at home and on the go. This speaker is a little on the smaller size, but WOW does that speaker work amazing. The bass on my Bose SoundLink Revolve+ is OUTSTANDING. And the range for the Bluetooth is amazing too! I left my phone in the basement and walked to my front porch and it still worked. It also has a handle for easily transporting it to places so it won't fall out of your hands. I didn't have much expectations because I always get let down with speakers but this speaker has 360 sound it I can't even describe how good it sounds. I used this product in the office and at my house. In the office I got tons of compliments and people asking me what it is and where to get it. It really works great for any occasion! Another great part of this speaker is design. The design makes it so it has 360 sound and man does it work! You don't have to turn the speaker a certain way to hear it, it has 360 sound already! The speaker was very easy to set up. Theres instructions plus the speaker talks to you to tell you how to set it up. It even tells you when it is paired to a device and which device it is paired too. I am completely satisfied with all the features on this speaker. It has met my expectations by far. I am not disappointing by any means. If you are looking for a speaker and need something that works great and you get your moneys worth, buy this.

This Bose speaker is very easy to set up with my google pixel phone the speaker can hold the charge for a long time it comes with everything you need to start listening to your music. This small sized speaker is amazing in sound I can't believe for how small it is the sound is loud and very clear. This Bose speaker is great for traveling it's easy to carry with you it has handle you use, this base speaker also comes with more features where you can answer it if your phone starts ringing. This Bose speaker is also water resistant so if does get wet it won't get ruined I really like the overall design of the base speaker the material is made with great quality and durable. My favorite part about the boss is how loud it can actually go you can also download an app on your phone that connects to the bose speaker and you can make the sound even louder.

I was very excited to receive the Bose Soundlink Revolve+ and the charging base and eager to test it out. I was impressed with a few aspects of the device, but overall I feel Bose left out some very important features. Design The device looks a lot like the Google Home, but has a rubber top with incorporated buttons instead of a touch pad. The Revolve+ is larger than the Google Home and feels just as solid. Pairing/Setup The automated woman’s voice is not very clear and the words sound jumbled together. The setup directions are straight-forward and pairs via NFC or Bluetooth, and connects to your phone via Bluetooth or an auxiliary port on the back. To set up your phone, download Bose Connect and have Wifi, Bluetooth, and location turned on. Select Bose Revolve+ from available devices, and the speaker is then ready to play music or be used as a speakerphone. I was unable to find directions on or figure out how to pair it with my Wifi network and thus doubt that is an option. The speaker can be charged using a charging base or charged by a micro USB cable on the back of the speaker. I was disappointed to find that the speaker cannot be used as a power bank to charge a phone. Pressing the multi-function button on the speaker will allow you to access your phone’s command features, such as finding a local pizza place or playing a game. I did not find any value in this feature since I have a Pixel and use my voice to activate Google Assistant to perform the same tasks. The sound is great for such a small speaker and I was impressed with the amount of base it has. I thought if I played music on it via Bluetooth for 13+ hours, it would be almost dead, but it still had 60% charge left. I made a phone call on it and was impressed on how well I could hear the caller, but was told I sounded far away if I positioned the speaker more than 3 feet from me. Buttons Starting at 12 O’clock and going clockwise: Power (green=charged, yellow=medium charge, yellow blinking=charging, red blinking=needs to be charged) Auxiliary jack input Volume up Universal button (select, 1x-play/pause, 2x-next song, 3x-previous song, answer/hang-up phone, and activate command) Volume down Bluetooth Note: NFC is included, but not shown on the unit Pros Handle to aid in portability Charge with base or micro USB port on back Water resistant Up to 16 hours of use (varies with volume) Great sound with deep base Cons Automated voice is sub par compared to any other device I have ever owned Push buttons rather than touch pad Auxiliary jack input button should be activated when Bluetooth is deactivated User menu page not found in app (as of writing this review) Cannot connect to WiFi network (as of writing this review) No power bank to charge phone No voice activated commands (must press multi-function button and wait for tone) The Soundlink Revolve+ has great sound and the base sounds rich and deep for such a small size. However for the price, I feel Bose should have included WiFi connectivity, voice activated commands, and a phone charging port to compete with comparable devices; therefore, I find it hard to recommend this Bluetooth speaker.

I can't say how much I absolutely love this speaker, it's small, extremely well built and sounds amazing for its size! The 360 degree design is perfect for when you have a party or cookout, this design gives everyone the perfect sound. I fully charged the battery and streamed music from my phone to it for about an hour and a half and the battery only dropped 10 to 15 % at the most. If I had one knock it would be the short charging cable, but I can easily over look that as sweet as this speaker is. When you turn the speaker on it will announce what it's connected to and the battery life which is very nice. The whole unit just reeks of quality from the enclosure to the nice carrying handle. If the review could be this short, it would be this, BUY IT!
