Another great sounding portable speaker by Bose. This is my 3rd Bose bluetooth portable speaker and this is my favorite. The feel of it comfortable and solid. It has a soft rubber top and bottom. The body in the middle is aluminum. At the bottom of speaker is a set of gold pins for use with the charging cradle that you can purchase separately. This unit comes with a charger and a charging cable. Also at the very bottom is an option to mount this to a tripod but I don't know why you would... maybe I'll find a use for that someday. Bose is known for clear highs and mids and this does not disappoint. The lows, well you can't expect it to deliver bass pounding sound but it is impressive. The sound is delivered all around the cylinder body, 360 degrees of awesome sound. Ah, maybe this is why they put a tripod mount. In addition to bluetooth connection, you also get a headphone jack and a micro USB port. At the top, you have the power button, bluetooth (push the button to change your connected device), input (AUX or USB), volume (-/+), media control (press once for play/pause - twice for forward - 3 times for reverse). Bose Connect app for iOS and Android lets you check battery level, manage your connected devices, turn on/off voice prompts and set auto-off timer. Overall, I really love this speaker. It has all the functions I need for my portable computing needs. I like that I can switch between my devices simply by pressing the bluetooth button. No more disconnect device first then connect the other device. Now what are you waiting for? Go get this Revolve Soundlink speaker from #Bose!

What;s in the box ---------------------- Bose Revolve Bluetooth Speaker, Charging Adapter , Charging Cable and User guide How does it look --------------------- Looks like a mix of google home and Amazon Alexa, its got a nice weight and does not look plasticy, looks like a premium build quality, it is made of mostly metal and some plastic on top. Connectivity ---------------- Very simple , you put it in pairing mode and turn on Bluetooth on your source which can be a tablet/phone and pair the device to the speaker. There is also a help voice which tells you if the device has been paired and to which device (It speaks out the device name) Sound Quality ------------------ Excellent, Nice Highs and very well balanced lows. For the size, it puts out a good amount of sound without any distortion even on reaching the max volume. it can fill a 600 sqft room with good crisp sound. You can use it outdoor as well, it may not bother your neighbor at the same time, you can listen to good music at your deck or patio For the sound quality, I had a chance to compare it to TDK Life on Record speaker which is 9 times the size of this speaker and the Bose comes out on top. the volume may not be as high as the TDK but it beats the TDK in sound quality and Clarity Range -------- Range of connectivity might not be as good as my Sony Bluetooth Headphones, I think the range would be around 15 feet.

The BOSE name is synonymous with quality sound. This speaker lives up to the hype. At first, I was skeptical that this speaker would not meet my expectation of what a Bose's speaker should / would do. THIS LITTLE SPEAKER EPITOMIZES EVERYTHING THE BOSE BRAND PERSONIFIES! It connects easily and at a moderate volume level, I can jam out my entire house. It is LOUD and the highs are tight and lows are deep, simply amazing. My only negative would be the way the volume up works; I do have an older android. I turn the volume all the way on my phone and then on the speaker directly. Not cool but again, may just be my phone. What is cool is the speakerphone feature (works like an office conference call device). I love that you can put it in the middle of the room and my entire family can talk to Paw-Paw, with crystal clear clarity. I did down load the app but did not ever need to use it to connect to any device. I baby my device but the build is solid and heavy. That said I never plan to find out how durable it is because of my love for it. The unit sits nicely alone. I have the charging base as well and highly suggest this add on for piece of my mind stability and charge through use.

When you open the box, you're greeted with sleek cylindrical shape of the speaker and the reality of the build quality. This speaker weighs almost two pounds and is built like a tank. The body of the speaker is one piece metal construction with a plastic base and rubberized buttons on the top. There are six buttons on the top of the speaker; power, Bluetooth, Aux, volume up, volume down and a multi-purpose button. The battery needed charged right out of the box but the speaker turned on after a few minutes of being connected to the charger. When you power it on the first time, you need to select the prompt language, then its ready to pair. The Bose Revolve has NFC so pairing was as simple as tapping my android phone to the top of the speaker and pressing "yes" on my phone. It doesn't however have the NFC icon/symbol you would expect to see showing where to tap. The most important issue, how does it sound? AMAZING! This little speaker kicks out some room-filling volume with a clarity and fullness that is definitely Bose. I was unsure how a seemingly one channel device would compare with a two-speaker stereo unit and I can honestly say it doesn't matter. The sound coming from this little speaker is so immersive and full, stereo sound is a non-issue. There is an app for this speaker, Bose Connect but its pretty lackluster, only offering volume and connectivity options, oh and you can use it to rename the device and select the voice language. I'm convinced the attitude at Bose is "we know how your music is supposed to sound" and you're going to like it. I would have like to have seen the app allow some sound adjustment for the speaker, similar to the Sony app that lets you adjust the Extra Bass and add sound profiles. The multi-purpose button is used to pause, select next track or go back, by pressing once, twice or three times in succession, similar to the button on iPod headphones. There is a socket in the bottom of the speaker, I assume for mounting. The first thing that came to mind was a camera tripod; and it fit. This might be useful for a back-yard party, being able to mount the speaker at ear level. When you turn the Revolve on, it announces the battery level and devices it is connected to. I was surprised to hear it say it was connected to two devices at the same time. It seems this is a feature of other "Soundlink" models as well, allowing you to link to two devices and switch between them. I gave it a try and it worked as described. With the first device playing, I pressed play on the 2nd device, nothing happened until I stopped the song on the first and immediately device 2 began playing. I can't quite figure out the usefulness of this but I'm sure someone asked for it for good reason. If you have the revolve connected to a phone, when you get a call it chirps, says "call from" and speaks the caller ID. Simply press the multi-purpose button and the Revolve becomes a speaker phone, and it sounds pretty great. When the call ends, it says "call disconnected" and the music begins again. There is a wired AUX input to connect the speaker to non-Bluetooth sources which is then selected by pressing the AUX button on the top of the speaker. Unlike most other speakers, Bose did not include a 3.5mm aux cable. @@@@@@@@ Even my $14 generic model included one) Battery life is very good. I've been playing this several hours a day for a week on a charge. There is an accessory charging cradle that allows you to just set the unit on it to power/charge it. I'm not a big fan of micro USB cables so this works great for me. Plug the base in once and you're done. If I had created the charging base, I would have also incorporated the AUX plug into it, adding an extra bit of functionality, also making it easier to just grab and go. To wrap this up, I was a little on the fence getting this kind of speaker but glad I did. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for decent sound at their next gathering.

I expected this speaker to be very clear in sound and easy to set up to Bluetooth. I did have problems reconnecting to the speaker. The sound from the speaker is clear and loud enough. The design is smooth and modern. I only wish it was easier to reconnect to other bluetooth devices.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve Bluetooth speaker produces great sound. The mids and highs are crisp and clear, and the bass is good. Like most Bose speakers, the bass is not heavy. Don't expect a strong and loud base note. The base is present, it's just clean and controlled. I compared this $199 speaker to another Bluetooth speaker (Anker A3143) I purchased about a year ago. That speaker's value was around $60. So, while you cannot expect similar quality and sound, you can at least compare the two to see how they are different. I love the Anker speaker because it produces a loud and good sound for an affordable price. All the reviews I read about that speaker stood up to my use and experience with it. When comparing the Bose Revolve speaker, you do get what you pay for. You get a clearer and crisper sound (less muddled than the Anker), and the ability for the speaker to produce a wider range of sound. Also, the Bose speaker has the internal power to produce a louder sound overall. Not to mention, the sound is evenly distributed in a 360-degree sound field. The Bose speaker has a longer battery life (10 to 12 hours), and the ability to control certain features within its own app. The Anker doesn't interface with an app in any way. I was very happy with my Anker speaker, but the Bose Revolve speaker will become my go to Bluetooth speaker for my portable sound needs (e.g. small gatherings, music outside in the yard, etc.) The setup was simple, and it connected very easily to my Galaxy S6 phone running Android 6.0.1. The app that you download separately is nicely designed and it's kept simple. It can read the music you're playing on your phone, and displays the song's information within the app. You can also pause the song, or move around to different parts within the app. It's nothing too special, but it does allow you to do quick changes to the song without getting out of the app. You can also control the speaker's volume within the app. The speaker's volume level is kept separate from the phone's volume. Meaning, if you crank your phone's volume all the way up, you can still control the speaker's volume within the app and on the physical unit itself. Conversely, you can leave the volume to the speaker all the way up within the app or on the unit, and control the loudness using the volume buttons on your phone. Another great feature that is accessible within the app, is the ability to pair two Bose Revolve speakers in stereo mode. If you're looking to pair two portable Bluetooth speakers to receive true stereo sound, these speakers can do this. Of course, you'll have to buy a second one. Overall, this is an excellent Bluetooth speaker. I do wish it produced a little more bass, especially for the price. But I guess there's only so much a speaker of this diminutive size (6 inches tall by 3 inches wide) can generate in the low frequency range. Still, the bass is present, and like I mentioned above, clear and crisp.

Overall this speaker was on par with my expectations for a Bose speaker and because it's water resistant, will be a nice addition to my outdoor activities this summer. Setup was quick and painless with all of the devices tested. This speaker maintains multiple Bluetooth pairings as well and features NFC pairing with the installation of the Bose connect app. Sound quality was impressive for a majority of my tests, I did note that the quality of the bass was diminished when playing music with heavy bass at max volume. When the speaker was set at moderate to high volume the sound quality impeccable, deep base, rich, clear mid and high-end tones, which is to be expected from Bose. Even though this speaker looks similar to other smart home devices, it does not come with this feature. However, if your phone is properly setup to accept voice commands via Bluetooth you can "add" this functionality, but due to the multitude of devices out there I cannot guarantee it will be compatible with all phones. It will however function as a Bluetooth speaker phone which is a nice bonus. I was a slightly disappointed that the Bluetooth reception strength was a bit lacking, which may or may not be the fault of the speaker. When paired with my phone, the speaker frequently lost its connection as I moved it to an area within 15 ft. of the speaker. Granted, there were a few obstructions between the two devices, but nothing that should have interrupted the connection like it did. I performed the same test with the speaker paired to my laptop and no connection issues were noted. During my tests, I managed to get about 11hrs of battery life before the device powered down, which is more than adequate for a wireless speaker. +1 star Easy setup NFC Pairing Long Battery life Exceptional Sound quality (low to high volume) Maintains multiple Bluetooth connections Water resistant Speaker phone -1 star Bass distortion at max volume Bluetooth connection inconsistent between devices Overall: 5 stars

Sound Quality is incredible, clear sound while delivering a strong bass. Very light and easy to carry and a really nice build quality that looks good but durable. Bluetooth setup is really easy, and it has an automated voice that helpfully tells you which devices are connected. The voice can be turned off if it's annoying, admittedly the voice sounds a little funny in a sad way. I don't feel very comfortable with the waterproof rating, but it does give me some peace of mind that I don't have to worry about it very much. My favorite feature is simply grabbing it and walking with it around the house.

Great sound for the size. Convenient and portable without compromise in quality. Loud sound for small size and great depth and clarity. Best 360 sounding Bluetooth speaker. Could use a bit more bass. Go for the revolve plus if you like bass- that one sounds even better. For portability without compromising quality - this is a winner.

You can't get past the pure reach sound. No distortion at higher volume levels. I keep it in our screened in porch and can hear clear sound all over the back yard. But it is still light and compact enough to take it with me on trips (both flying and driving).

I have owned several Bose bluetooth speakers, and other devices, and I have to say this one is my absolute favorite. Outside in an open space, it sounds a little thinner than inside, because there aren't any walls for the sound the radiate from, but it's still great, clear sound in every direction. Inside, I have it set in the corner, and you wouldn't believe all that sound is coming from such a tiny speaker. I was debating between the regular size and the plus, and I'm glad I got the standard size, because it's plenty loud, and there's plenty of bass. I don't know how they do it (I'm certainly curious), but Bose never ceases to amaze me with their technology.

The Revolve is a great sounding Bluetooth speaker with a long lasting battery. It doesn't quite get as loud as I would prefer, especially when using the speaker phone function. But there isn't much distortion at high volume settings, which is nice. The bass is nicely prevalent without being overbearing and the highs are crisp and not muddy. I would like to see Bose update the SoundLink speakers to have WiFi connect ability so to have the ability to be integrated in a home system.

I've always been a fan of Bose and this speaker doesn't disappoint. It's a great size to take wherever and the battery is awesome. The sound is clear and loud enough to compete with speakers 5x in size. My only complaint is the Bluetooth range is a bit shorter than I'd like. But as long as your device is in the same room as the speaker you should be good.
