Bose Revolve+ Detailed Review and Comparison
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We own several Bose products and enjoy them all with eyes-wide-open. They each have their strengths and weaknesses and we recognize that there is better sound out there. That said, Bose just has a knack for having great sound at a competitive price with above average build quality and customer service. Every product does well what Bose promises it does. Because of this reputation, we were excited to get this new Bose Revolve+ for use in our kitchen and out back by the pool. After just a few weeks with the speaker, we have fallen in love! Here is why... The sound signature is excellent. It is deep and balanced while maintaining sufficient clarity even at higher volumes. The high notes sound natural with nothing harsh. Mids such as voices are projected forward and have a smooth tonal quality. The lows are tight, rhythmic and well extended. That said, the sound is not perfect. Those who are used to a sound quality that is found on speakers such as near field music monitors, will find the sound on this Bose to be a little too warm in sacrifice of accuracy. For many, the Revolve+, though Bluetooth, will be one of the best sounding speaker they will ever own. The 360 degree sound projection is incredibly great. Set this speaker in the center of your space (indoor or out) and it will sound consistently well anywhere in the space. The sound also holds up when the speaker is placed near a wall. Surprisingly the wall helps reflect and project the sound. The sound changes but is not degraded. The build quality is outstanding. The rubber bottom and top make the speaker feel nearly goof proof. It is built as though Bose expects this speaker to be taken everywhere. In my opinion, no case needed! The water resistance is something we have not yet tried but we would have no qualms about the speaker being caught in the rain or splashed with pool water. Battery life is fantastic which is promised to be sixteen hours. The aux-in works great. Also, two Revolves can play the same music simultaneously in party mode. Or, two may be synced as left and tight channels. We cannot buy a second Revolve fast enough to use this feature! The connect app is simple and allows you to switch between paired devices and update the firmware on the speaker. We own two other Bose Bluetooth speakers and this Revolve+ is the best by far. In fact we enjoy the sound signature (deep and dynamic) more than our Bose Solo 15 tv soundbar. It also has better clarity and tighter bass than our Bose Companion 2 Series III computer speakers. The Revolve+ sound is not as good but competes fairly well when compared to our Bose Companion 20 computer speakers, our SoundTouch 10 wifi system, and maybe even my beloved QC 15 headphones. Yes, we own them all :). Our only Bose product that is unequivocally night-and-day better than this Revolve+ is our Cinemate GS Series II home theatre system. I should hope so. All this to say, the Bose Revolve+ can stand proud as having that rich signature Bose sound that is better than expected for a battery powered portable unit. The speaker has already found its proper place in our busy household. It may not be for everyone, but we expect to enjoy ours for years to come.

Big sound out of a small speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I initially used the Bose Revolve+, I felt it was missing the mid-range of my other bluetooth speaker and was tuned for more highs. As I switched between speakers I found myself preferring the sound of the Bose over my other name brand speaker. I enjoyed not only the crisp sound, but also was impressed with the range of the speaker. It played everything well and never seemed distorted, even when using it outdoors with the volume increased. Speaking of outdoor use, this thing rocks! I only had the volume up 3/4 and it was loud enough to fill the entire backyard with music. Now, as far as the physical design, I at first thought it looked understated and didn't appear as high end as I expected. Originally, I did not care for the corded handle as I thought it detracted from the design, but after using the Bose Revolve+ I found myself hanging the speaker by the handle in convenient places. The speaker has basic controls on the top (volume, power, bluetooth, etc) analog input and micro USB on back. The bottom of the speaker features a 1/4-20 mount and contacts for the charging base, which is awesome! Battery life is also very good, I used it on and off over the weekend and it didn't require recharging, which was nice. The Bose Revolve+ is a phenomenal bluetooth speaker that is very versatile and can be enjoyed thoroughly in a variety of places.

Bose Quality and Clarity
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose SoundLink Revolve+ is a decent size Bluetooth speaker from Bose. This particular model reminds me of an old fashioned lantern, even has a carrying handle. As far as I know this only comes in black (however as with their other Soundlink speakers maybe more colors to come). This device easily connects via Bluetooth and you can play music rather quickly, also has a corresponding App that can be installed on your mobile device. Now to the sound, it has the usual Bose quality and this one has a 360 degree sound field. This speaker can really be cranked up and has some real volume output capabilities. The only critique I have (and others that listened to it) is the unit produced less bass than I would expect, especially from a device this size. I also have a Bose Soundlink speaker (the one that looks like a square block) and I would say that has more bass. In any case if you use EQ and play with sound profiles on the device you are using to connect to this speaker you can coax additional bass from the unit. The battery life is pretty good and I have yet to go from one playing session of full charge to no charge, but have no doubt it would play for several hours at a decent volume. Did notice that the battery seemed to discharge quickly with nonuse, however I did get the integrated charging stand which is a nice place to leave the unit and have it charge without much effort (although it did seem to be finicky about correctly placing the unit on the dock). One of the features that I didn’t test was using this with a phone as an audio conferencing device. However given the superb voice quality I could imagine this as being a pretty good, adhoc audio conferencing device.

Impressive!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When you look at this initially it reminds me of a kettle ball. Upon firing it up the first time it asked what language I wanted. It is fluent in over a dozen languages. It then offered to pair with my iPhone and pairing was painless. Started up a streaming music service and I was immediately blown away not only by the volume but the depth of sound. I was not expecting it to have such a rich sound. When it connects it also gives you a status on your iPhone of the battery's charge. Download the app and you can see the percentage and control volume and music selection. You can also adjust the volume from the speaker in addition to pause and fast forward. It will also act as a speakerphone pausing the current song and allowing you to answer or ignore an incoming call. It worked for a call I took but I didn't ask about quality but no one on the other end complained. The product is well constructed and is not heavy compared to some I have handled. Probably the most important part of this is how well it holds a charge. So to put it through it charge paces, I started playing it at 9:15 in the morning while I was working in the garage. At 4:15 that afternoon I called it quits and it still had 85% charge! It outlasted me and my iPhone. As for charging, it has a power cord that plugs directly in or you can use the cradle and just pick it up and go.

Attention Soundlink III Owners
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love music period! My music library is extensive, with over 3k songs across pretty much all genres. Some times its smooth jazz, reggae, classical, easy listening, hiphop, rock and roll, R&B, and so on. Now I’ve had every Soundlink BOSE has offered, beginning with the Soundlink I; so this review is going to be straight forward. Again I LOVE MUSIC, so I want a speaker that produces crystal clear notes across the highs, mids, and lows, and fills whatever area (room/outdoors) I’m currently occupying. So I’m more interested in a speaker that delivers “complete balance” and not necessarily projects more bass, or mids., I like clear, natural, and loud notes that give you a great experience. I also use it when watching movies, cutting the grass, and taking a shower. In other words, I never leave home without it! Now for the review…the Revolve Plus is BEAUTIFUL, in fact, the website pictures don’t do it justice. Its light weight (lighter and louder than my Soundlink III), impressive volume, and crystal clear! It has other whistle and bells I won’t mention in this review however, they’re more “added value” as opposed to sound quality. As well, I won’t be able to provide any objective feedback on battery life, although I did do a complete charge, and 8 hours later, its still going strong. So here’s where the review gets disappointing. I did a “side by side” sound quality comparison between my Soundlink III, and the BOSE Revolve Plus, and the results where surprising. While the Revolve Plus is noticeably louder than the Soundlink III, BOSE comprised on “complete balance” to increase the volume. In all fairness, both speakers were placed against the same wall, set to the highest volumes (minus 1 notch), using the same computer, same songs, and in my humble opinion, the Soundlink III wins. Yes that’s correct. The Soundlink III delivers a more complete sound quality across the music notes, all crystal clear, with a touch of deep bass. Just enough to be distinctive without drowning out the rest of the range. On the other hand, the Revolve delivers the same crystal clear sound quality, at a much higher volume however, the touch of bass is more appealing on the Soundlink III. Yes its there on the Revolve, Just not as good as the Soundlink III. So all you Soundlink III owners, DO NOT rush out to upgrade to the Revolve Plus unless you’re like me, and just want a 2nd speaker that’s more portable than the Soundlink III. Which by the way, now belongs to my wife (she’s very happy!) Overall, I’m happy with the Revolve Plus and plan to continue enjoying my music library!

Very good sound quality!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good sound quality. Better than Klipsch GiG. Almost as good as my home Denon av receiver with suround speakers. Balance midrange and high, bass is strong for its size and is better than Klipsch GiG of similar size. Can play from bluetooth and auxiliary input while charging. Have voice prompt on battery level, connection. Voice prompt on language selection when power up the first time. Has handle for carrying or hanging. Build quality is very good. Long bluetooth range at least 30 feets. Come with charging power adapter and cable but does not come with charging cradle, you have to plug the cable to the back of the speaker to charge. You can buy the charging cradle and it is convenient with the cradle.

A solid bluetooth speaker with great battery life
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overview: Solid improvement to Bose’s current Bluetooth speaker offerings with good design and battery life. The Good: - Great good looking design that feels and looks solid. - Handle is unique looking and feels tough and durable. - Great 16 hour battery life. The Bad: - USB cable is way too short (3ft). You will almost certainly need a longer one depending on where you put it. - Still uses micro USB verses new USB type C. Cool Extras: - You can plug in the Revolve+ to your computer with the supplied USB and play audio off your computer. - Holding Multipurpose button on speaker activates Siri or iPhone or Google Now on Android.

Another quality Bose
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Bose but it's my 3rd speakers in my house. I have a Sonos Play 1 and Google Home and they are all different in qualities and functions. Sonos Play 1 does not have bluetooth or internal battery and not voice recognition enabled, but it does have Wi-Fi. Google Home does not have bluetooth or internal battery but it does have voice recognition enabled. So, Bose Revolve is a bluetooth enabled speaker and it does have internal battery so you can move it around the house or the park or anywhere. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: - Great voice clarity - Enough bass without over-powering - Great battery life - Fast connection to bluetooth Cons: - Kinda an awkward design. The handle and the whole design makes the speaker looks like a thermos. - Inability to adjust treble/bass to your liking Overall, another quality product from Bose. Great addition in my house!

Great little speaker!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great speaker, another amazing delivery by Bose true 360 sound with crisp clear quality, great features like telling the battery charge level upon turning on, and up to 16 hrs of battery life the charging cradle makes it easy and quick to charge and the sound quality does not change with volume level very convenient, great in outdoors and indoors as well and the fact that is water resistant makes it great for different uses. It comes with a usb charger, but I also got the cradle for a more convenient and aesthetic charging!

Top Notch Bluetooth Speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose is synonymous with quality and has been for the last 20 years or so! So it's no surprise that their new line of Soundlink speakers stay within that realm. The Revolve + is a fantastic bluetooth speaker with only some minor gripes in its overall appearance and performance. Sound Quality: As far as sound quality goes I feel like this is one of the best bluetooth speakers I've ever heard. Bose has decided to go with the circular design, following the trend we are seeing from Amazon and Google. But the circular design I think greatly adds to the quality of the sound throughout the room. No matter where I stand on my first floor the sound is the same. I've never experienced this before with a speaker. The speaker seems to fill the room up with sound so its perfect if you just place it in the middle of your home. And it's quite loud as well, I can't turn it up over roughly 70 percent. This thing is a beast! Battery life so far has been great, the speaker will tell you when you turn it on how much battery is left and it always automatically connects to my iphone. The only issue I've seemed to have so far with playback is getting apps like instagram or facebook to play through the speaker. More than a few times the sound will just cut off. Closing down the music app completely has helped. But it doesn't always fix the problem completely. The speaker is lightweight and it says its waterproof but I'm not going to try and test that anytime soon. But I would feel really comfortable taking it to the beach! Also Bose has a great companion app that allows you to change alot of things about the speaker itself. Including turning on/off voice commands. I renamed my speaker Roast Beats :) The only gripe I have with the design is the plastic on the top with the buttons gets dirty very easily. Already after a few days use the oil from my fingers have made the plastic look smudged. I was able to clean it with a lens wipe, but it shouldn't be looking that rough especially when I barely touch the top except to turn it on or off or move it. All in all, I would definitely recommend this speaker to someone who wants good quality bluetooth speakers from a great and reliable company like Bose!

Great speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This bluetooth speaker is awesome! It's loud and has great quality of sound. People can't believe that this small speaker is so powerful. I can carry it everywhere and it last for about 16 hours. I take it to the beach and just vibe out. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and thinking about purchasing a second one for party mode. You will not be disappointed with your purchase. Great quality and sound. It's much better than my beats pill speaker that I've purchased in the past. I also love the handle used to carry around that's a great little feature.

Great little speaker with lots of punch!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This speaker is pretty awesome!! I've been using it now for about 2-3 weeks and I don't go anywhere without it now. I listen to it and use it as my phone also. It makes it super easy to use voice commands through your phone-so you can be in the pool and use it to call, text, or just check the time without fear of getting it wet. I love how convenient it is! The sound quality is amazing! I love how you don't need to make sure you place it in an area where the sound might be muffled. This little speaker has sound all around and if you need to change anything that you don't like the way it sounds just easily quickly go into your music setting and change it. The sound is wonderful and crisp! Like I mentioned above-I carry it with me everywhere! All while my phone stays on the charger. The distance of the Bluetooth goes pretty far. My phone will be in the back of the house and I'm able to walk to the front yard and a bit to the neighbors side before it starts to get a bit of static. It's a pretty good distance. Bose did a good job with this one! Only negatives is you can't turn it off from your device. You can disconnect, but have to wait out the "waiting to pair" that comes out every few minutes. It's only a few times but still would love that option! The battery life on this thing is awesome also! I charge it once a week and lasts all week and I listen to it at least 4-10 hours daily! Awesome size, awesome battery life, awesome sound and basically awesome product all around!

Costs more, but worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose Revolve+ is everything I hoped it would be. It sounds great, has lots of volume, and the battery life is good. I have had no trouble with charging, I use the optional base, which obviates the need for plugging and unplugging the micro USB connector. The handle is nice, it makes the speaker like a music lantern. It can fill a room with sound from a central location, in which case everyone enjoys the same musical experience; or, when positioned near a wall, it can give a concert-hall experience rich in the nuance of reflected sounds. Pairing with several different Bluetooth devices is easy, and switching between them usually only requires the push of a button. There are voice prompts to aid in connecting. An app is also available for Android and iOS, you'll want to use that at least once to get the firmware update and install it. The app also makes it easy to coordinate two speakers to provide a stereo experience, although this can also be done without the app by following directions in the manual. The Revolve+ works beautifully with my Echo Dot, has a much richer and louder sound.

The Best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have other Bose speakers including in my car and Bose is simply the best speakers. I always wanted to buy a Bluetooth speaker which has 360 degree sound and found this online. Yes, it is pricey, but it is worth for every single penny. The sound is very clear and amazing. There is no quality loss even you pump it up to full volume. I am an amateur musician and care about the quality vs. loudness. It is very easy to connect your phone and you can also turn it on by using Bose app. I have tried it with a phone call and it was excellent. My friend was able to hear me very clearly. I highly recommend Bose to anybody who wants to enjoy good quality music.

Best outdoor speaker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose Revolve+ is by far one of the best bluetooth speakers I have had. It looks amazing especially the triple black colored one which comes with a great matte finish to it. It comes with a handle which makes it very easy to carry around. It also comes with a top and bottom soft bumper that better handles dropsand a tripod mount which is helpful somethimes. I have used quite a few Bose products and it never let me down on the quality of the sound and this one was no different. The sound quality is excellent. It is capable of delivering rich, well-balanced sound experience that's superbly balanced, even at high volume. One area where I thought it lacked was the bass, for the price, there could have been a little more punch to the bass and frankly I was a little bit disspaponted by it. In addition to Bluetooth connectivity, it has a standard audio jack for connecting audio sources the old-fashioned way. A built-in microphone is also on board for making calls from a connected device, as well as for using voice assistants like amazon Echo or Google home. I use it with the echo. It comes with a micro usb cable and a usb adapter which is used to charge the speaker. There is also an docking station on Bose's website that can be bought for like thirty bucks. There is an app called Bose connect app that makes it easy to connect and control the speakers volume. Overall this is one of the best speakers I have had and I would definetly recommend it if you are looking for a good outdoor portable buletooth speaker.

Great sound and bass
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this speaker 2 weeks ago. It is very loud, and the sound is very full and bassy. It feels like a bigger system is shaking the walls. My only gripe is that a couple of times it had issues syncing to the same phone I’ve had it synced to for days . It did it after changing devices , and sometimes it does it randomly. It’s easy to use , and the voice tells you what it is connected to as soon as you turn it on. It also tells you when you have an incoming phone call. I use it in my car often , and it’s plenty loud. Overall, it was a good buy.

Blown Away
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm in love with this speaker. The sound is enormous! I have to say it's not a "sexy" looking speaker but boy does it pack a punch. Connecting is easy with the Bose connect app. I have the Bose 35 wireless headphones so I already had the app. To me, Bose produces the best sound out of any speaker in this category. It actually sounds like an entire sound system is in my home but it's just this tiny speaker.

Best portable speaker, but don't blast it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best speaker I've had that actually works as a real speaker and not just a gimmick. I've used it outdoors and indoors and it performs well anywhere. I used it the most indoors while I was doing errands like cleaning/doing laundry/washing dishes and it was great in every situation. I didn't have to worry about the fact that it could get wet since it's waterproof. I really like design and the size of it is relatively small when you think about how much audio it can output. I'm really impressed with the bass that it can output compared to the size. The only issue that I have with it is when you raise the volume past 75% it seems to lose all bass. It just sounds loud and screeching depending on the type of music that you listen to. But even at 75% the amount of sounds it produces is pretty loud so I just keep it at that as the max. I would most definitely recommend this product if you're serious about music on the go like picnics or areas of your house that don't have a big sound system.

Most well-rounded speaker I own
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the 8 different Bose products I own, this one quickly become one of my favorites. Hands down the most versatile speaker I have. It's been poolside, to the beach, on the boat, on the paddle board, next to the BBQ grill, and all over the house. Despite the larger size, the handle makes it so portable and user friendly. A speaker that sounds good outside is hard to come by, and the Revolve+ has done a phenomenal job at producing a rich and full sound. It sounds even more remarkable indoors. The battery life is great and the interface of both the speaker and the app are simple and intuitive.
