Customers enjoy the SoundSport Free True Wireless Headphones for their excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, and long battery life. The charging case is also well-received for its convenience. However, some users have experienced connectivity issues, find the design to be bulky, and feel that the price is not justified by the product's performance.

Ok for those that hate to read I will sum it up to you here, they are good but not perfect. Now for the rest of you here is my 2cents. I really do like them and do not plan on getting rid of them due to there flaws.
1. Great sound!
2. Right bud is the master bud so you can only use the right one for calls.
3. Really good connectivity.
4. But covering the right bud while both are on the left bud begins to cut out or will disconnect all together.
5. Nice and light.
6. But if you don't put in the right size ear piece will hurt you bad.
7. Convenient and portable for those that want to use them whenever.
All in all the are good and I will be making a very in-depth YouTube video to give people more insight to this hefty purchase.

I'm a runner and I love to bike. I'm also on campus all day too and I absolutely NEED a great pair of sweat-proof, stay-in, wireless headphones for my runs and when I just need some isolation from the world at the library. I've tried several different wireless headphones. Here are my thoughts about the Bose:
First, the good:
The Bose SoundSport Free headphones announce the battery level and Bluetooth link at power up, which is really convenient since there is no battery meter on the headphones themselves and I have several different Bluetooth-enabled devices around me at all times. The headphones sounds pretty really good, with deep bass, good mid-levels, sharp highs. The truly wireless system is great and I never have to worry about ANY cord tangle (except when charging). Speaking of charging, the included charger case adds a few extra charges and I can easily go several days without having to plug in the case. The headphones easily sync with iPhone and Apple Watch; at the gym, I just leave my phone in the car and use my Apple Watch to control the ear buds, very convenient! They're also sweat resistant, making them the perfect gym partner!
The bad:
The sound, although excellent for Bluetooth earbuds, occasionally cut out. I never had to re-pair the buds, but even with my phone or watch only 20 inches from me, the sound would inexplicably cut out. The wing tips are also hit-or-miss, mainly a miss. Can’t find right wingtip despite trying all 3 different included sets and it hurt my external ear after prolonged wear. My external ear canal hurts after about 45-60 minutes of use. The bulky design protrudes out of war, and the buds occasionally become loose during run. Also, the earbuds do not completely seal off outside sound, which is something that I like about the Beats X. Although call quality was good, I found that if I wandered more than 10 feet away from my phone, I'd get an out-of-range warning sound, and the call was only audible on right ear piece.
Summary:
Although the Bose SoundSport Free are an awesome sounding, well-built set of wireless head phones with long battery life, they're not perfect. If you can look past a bulky design and finicky bluetooth, then the Bose SoundSport Free are a great workout partner.

As always Bose sound is amazing and it’s mic is great blocks out a lot of background noise besides wind that hits the earpiece straight on. I bought it for use with the iPhone and I watch together to switch between automatically like they claim to do and have read other reviews on boses own site and is very difficult put watch in airplane mode tell watch to play a song tell it to search for earpiece while earpiece is still connected to phone and it will finaly pick up both and say connected to iPhone and iwatch at same time but have tested to see if they would continue to work and auto switch to watch listening to music if left my phone behind and they did not others say have made it work but I still haven’t in a month of owning them but they will pair with my watch and have it in their memory so a minor issue worth dealing with. Fit comfortably In my ear I drive semi truck for a living and use them day in and out and can listen to music for atleast five hours and talk on phone for an hour and have only had them tell me I’m at 15 percent battery once. You can use them with only one earpiece but that one has to be the right earpiece and to change which devise your connected to is done on the left one so if your right earpiece goes dead your left one is worthless until you get the right one recharged. I have had them out in the rain with zero issues and I have three devises in their memory as of now and can quickly change between them in about 3 seconds my watch my phone and my MacBook which I didn’t expect them to do a great bonus. Would have been five stars easily if not for connecting to both at same time issue

Tested them for 5-6 hours continuous playback (out for a jog, indoors, at the beach and while driving to the beach)... Music skipped, disconnected and reconnected as all reviews stated. Was about to return them, when I saw a firmware update was going on in the Bose Connect app.
AFTER THE 1.3.2 FIRMWARE UPDATE, the only disconnect/skip I've had is when I walked away from my phone (left the phone downstairs and walked to my room in the 2nd floor). Went out for a Jog and it didn't disconnect once.
I had the soundsport pulse before and dont regret switching over. They stay in place during workouts just as the Pulse and sound BOSE beautiful expected quality.
Design is beautiful. Battery lasts 5-6 hours of playback and the case charges them on the go. I havent tested the case, but It did fully charged them one time and still showed 4/5 lights still on, seems it will charge them at least 2-3 times before I need to fuly charge the case again.

These earbuds are one of the best sounding ones I have used! I really love the fact that these are truly wireless. This helps me while I am weight training so my wires don’t get tangled and ripped out my ear. I really like the charging pack and that you can take it with you and throw your ear buds in and charge it back up on the go. The only thing I am not so fond of is while I am making a call, sound only comes out of the right ear. I also like the way these fit inside the ear, it feels like it is very secure. Other then that I really like these.

I purchased these headphones a year ago for use while exercising and overall have been pleased.
THE GOOD:
- I've had trouble finding earbuds that fit my ears securely and this pair fits great! They feel secure even while running, jumping, or turning my head. After about 90 minutes of wear, they do start to feel a bit uncomfortable, but that's enough time for me to get a good workout in.
- The sound quality is excellent to my non-audiophile ears. The bass range is the best of any earbuds I've owned.
- The battery is totally adequate for my 90-minute interval use case, and it recharges quickly in the convenient case. After a year of regular use the headphones usually report 80% maximum charge.
THE NOT-SO-GOOD
- As reported in many other reviews, the bluetooth connectivity can be frustratingly and unpredictably spotty. Maybe 50% of the time I have zero issues. But other times, particularly it seems if my phone is in a pocket or if I turn my head quickly, the sound from one or both earbuds will fade in and out. It's only about 10% of the time that the issue is severe enough to be truly frustrating, but it does prevent these headphones from meriting five stars. Overall, the benefits of the fit and sound quality outweigh this issue for me but I fervently hope Bose will improve this technology by the time I buy my next pair.

I was looking for a wireless headset for mostly listening to music while I work, mow the lawn and drown out my kids. Additionally I wanted to use it for conferences call for work. Who holds a handset up to their ear like a goon? I first purchased the Jabra Elite Active 65t and was disappointed. They caused a little bit of pain from the pressure of them being in my ear for extended periods and once you took them out you still felt like you had them in. Also, they sealed your ears so well that when you were on a phone call you could hear yourself like you do when you plug your ears with the palms of your hands. I returned those and bought the Bose. The Bose are much much better than the Jabra in every way except when it comes to listening to music while mowing the lawn. The Jabra had a better seal in your ear, but the seal was a little painful. The Bose stay in my ears very well, even when I shake my head around like an idiot trying to get them to fall out. They also are comfortable for wearing for long periods of time. Phone calls sound great and my wife doesn't complain how I sound when I am on them. At least she doesn't complain about me more than she usually does. The charging case works great and it is very handy to store them in and throw in your pocket when traveling. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are a little on the expensive side.

I own several Bose headphones. My latest one is the QC35. Love the Bose sound, and noise cancelling. But for my everyday work and walk with my wife, I need good earbuds that I don't have to take it off for the conversation. I consider between Soundsport (SP) wireless and free. SP wireless plus a charging case is the same price as the SP free. This pushes me toward SP free.
The 3 concerns I had are losing sync, lagging and size. Losing sync between earbuds is my biggest concern. Lagging is not major since I don't intent to watch video with this. Finally, I decide to take a chance with SP free after checking Best Buy return policy. :-)
My first impression with this SP free is it sounds amazing, especially for the earbuds. It is bigger that my Jam Ultra. It sticks out of my ear but not a lot, and it feels more comfortable than the Jam.
During my 3 days use, I don't have sync lost issue. Actually, I can make it loose sync sometimes by put my fingers on the bottom of the 2 earbuds. (When operate the buttons, my thumbs are on the bottom side while my forefingers are on the buttons on the top.) Anyway, buttons are hard to push. It is much easier to control music using my apple watch or iphone.
I found no lagging issue while watching video on iphone or ipad. But once I watch video on windows, it lags big time.
Did I say the sound is excellent. At first I use the medium silicone tips, it sounds great but the bass is a little lite. The manual suggests to try all 3 sizes. So I did it and find out that the large size tips seal better and improve the bass quite a lot. I still can carry conversation without taking it off.
Blue Soundsport Free. Manufactured in 12/2017. Firmware version 1.3.2 (The truth is with all the luck I have so far, I am scared to upgrade the firmware to the latest one :-) ).

These Bose wireless earbuds are perfect for anyone that works out! No more wires getting caught and tangled up. The sound quality is amazing and they paired easily to my phone. There is an app you can download on your phone and from there you can set the volume, connected devices and voice prompts. They come with a really nice little case and you charge them right in the case. I put them back in the case after my workouts and I've only had to charge them up once a week so they hold the charge for a long time. They are very comfortable to wear and you can even answer your phone through them. Overall a great pair of wireless earbuds.

I have been researching true wireless headphones for over a year now. Bose Soundsport Free are the clear winners at this point. My only complaint and reason for loss of one star rating, is the sound delay when watching videos.
The Good:
-Sound
-fit and comfort
-battery life w/ charging case
-talking on the phone
The Bad:
-second or two delay when watching videos
-occasional loss of sound to left earpiece (very minimal compared to many of the competitors)

Hi Gymray, Thanks for the review. We’ve heard from some customers who are experiencing audio synchronization delays while watching videos. We know truly wireless headphones are subject to some latency between audio and video, but the feedback we’ve received indicated the product wasn’t performing how we expected.
A SoundSport Free software update is now available to improve audio video synchronization for most customers and use situations. You can download the new software wirelessly through the Bose Connect app or by visiting btu.bose.com on your computer. This update will benefit customers with Bluetooth devices that fully support Audio Video Distribution Transport Protocol (AVDTP) version 1.3 or later. We have confirmed Apple iPhones and iPads use this protocol and we continue to evaluate other popular Bluetooth devices. Audio video synchronization may also vary depending on the mobile app being viewed (e.g. Netflix, YouTube). We encourage customers to use the most recent software for your mobile apps, Bluetooth devices and Bose headphones.
If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact us directly at our Customer Support Line at 1-800-379-2073. We're open Mon-Fri, 9 AM to 8 PM. Or you can follow us on Twitter @BoseService.

After trying a couple other truly wireless earbuds, I settled on these for several reasons. I tried the Jabra Elite Active and Sony WF1000X. They were excellent but I didn’t like how far they went inside the ear canal. the noise canceling was very good but caused me to hear the thumping of my foot steps when I walked. Very distracting. The Bose sit just outside of the ear canal and can still hear the outside environment since they are not noise canceling. Very impressed on how they sound with good music seperation. The bass is decent and not too boomy with very clean sound. They are also very comfortable and stay in with the option of 3 size tips with ear fins. The things I didn’t like is the size. They are very big but get used to them in a short time. They do stick out quite a bit. The other thing I didn’t like is the audio sync issues with video. This is very common with almost all truly wireless ear buds. The battery life is excellent and last several hours. the case is good quality and magnetic holding the buds in securely. Very happy with this purchase.

Had great sound quality and strong bass. Stays in the ear sturdily. The battery lasts a full day with moderate usage, including the case charge. The case itself charges very fast. Only downside is an occasional left ear disconnect for a second, which probably only occurs once a day.

Thank you apple for forcing me to go wireless. Not. It can be expensive, but since I'm oilfield, I can afford them... they work seamlessly... They auto connect, play music beyond the volume to make you deaf, and last forever. Anything Bose is worth it in my opinion. I waited for them, and they are worth every penny for an in-ear wireless phone (and they aren't white like apple). They have 3 sizes to fit anyones ear... and they work as long as you learn to spin them in your ear. Awesome product.

I got mines about maybe a couple weeks ago wasn't quite sure about them when I first got them but after having them I have really loved and I loved the sound control it's not too loud but it's not too low either when I'm working out and I sweat they do not fall out of my ears they have a good fit comfortable fit one of my favorite qualities about them whatever you're doing and you're not able to get to your phone it will let you know exactly who's calling you or the number that's calling me also you do not have to have them both in your ears you can charge one while listening to the other also I love the charging case it charges so fast and stays for a long time with battery life it says 5 hours I've listened to Minds about 8 hours without them going dead and when they do I just clicked them both into the case that has a magnetic and they charged him so quickly I do recommend them that great for everyday wearing and also people who workout and don't like all the wires and around your neck like I said they're very comfortable and everyday fit and where thank you and I hope this helps out a lot I really enjoy mines and I know you would too

I am absolutely loving the Bose SoundSport free wireless headphones. These are amazing! The sound quality is great. I turn up the volume and can not hear any background noise which is awesome! My favorite part is the wireless charge box that holds 5 extra hours charge for when I'm on the go, that's incredible! There is not one thing I can say I don't like about these! Okay, to be clear - when I say "best all around" I mean just that: the best when you weigh all pros / cons and how it stacks to the competitors. This doesn't mean it's perfect. For one I would like for Bose to consider making a version that does not become a paperweight when, not if, you lose one. That's correct - if you lose one, your done. You have to buy the entire unit over. That makes no sense to me. You use be able to replace the 1 piece that broke, got stolen, gets lost. So, no, these are not perfect, but dag bro, it's pretty close. The sound is rich and the base crips. They stay in your ear through aggressive workouts and runs. Light weight, you'll hardly know you're wearing them. The charging case is great! Functional and sleek, it keeps your buds safe and charged. Love this product.

Long time fan of Bose and I've owned multiple sets of headphones and speakers. These wireless headphones are a love / hate relationship.
Everything is run by the right ear bud, which makes the left ear bud very picky about signal. Particularly outdoors, you can make the left earbud cut out just by putting your hand over it or over the right one. If your phone or watch is too far from the right ear bud it will also cause the left one to cut out. Being on the tall side just having my phone in my pocket upside down is enough to make the connection flake. My winning combination has been to keep my phone right-side up, back facing out and it works 99% of the time outdoors.
Phone calls are on the right side only. No audio from the left during calls at all, by design according to Bose, so it's not a great solution for noisy areas and phone calls.
Indoors they have enough signal bounce from walls etc that I can walk 20 feet away from my phone and they work fine. So they might work really well for the office or gym.
I had to mess around with the included ear piece replacements to get a good comfortable fit, it comes with large and small tips and they are pretty easy to swap out.
The buttons are small and very stiff, not very easy to use so far. Although others have mentioned they losen up over time. I just use the volume control via my phone and app.
Sound quality is great! Like all my other Bose headphones they have good volume and depth of sound.
As for battery life, they claim 5 hours but in reality I get closed to 4 per charge. The charging case is nice, I only have to plug that in every couple days. It does seem to charge the headphones twice before it needs to be charged itself. Its a little bulky to carry, and if there are any problems with the headphones Bose's answer to everything it "place the earbuds in the case". I have not needed to use it for that yet.

I really like the sound and comfort of these ear buds. They're so light, you forget you have them in your ears! The battery life is good (about 5 hours) and the charging case is nice for storage and recharging.
They work well with Siri and announces phone calls when they come in.
Like other users, I'm having a little trouble with the left ear bud dropping out, then reconnecting. Once in a while, I have to manually reconnect it. I've also found the volume buttons hard (firm) to push, but they work.
It's annoying, but not bad enough to return them. For a $200 Bose device, this should't be an issue!
Overall, I'm enjoying using them and they do sound great.

I love music and the only compliment you can have to it is having the right pair of headphones. There are numerous reasons to buy these headphones and only a handful of reasons to not.
Pros - Dynamic sound, clear and crisp. Lightweight capability allows for easy transport and wonderful wear. Recharge station has me covered after all my sessions. Did I mention they look awesome? They do.
Cons - toggle buttons require a little pressure work, and only 4 hours of battery life.
I own about 6 pairs of headphones. 3 from Bose, 2 from Apple (regular white headphones) and 1 pair from Audio Technica. So far Bose has been the best at mobility and sound in some respects.
The obvious reason to get any headphones is for the sound quality and Bose delivers. The only issue I have with these pair of headphones is the battery life and on very, very rare occasions I lose signal when I walk a little far away. Over all these headphones are my go to headphones for traversing the city, gym and college life. Awesome job Bose!
